I ordered a pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and jalapeño pizza and it was off the hook. Dough, right amount of sauce, hard bottom dough and ingredients were fresh. It was almost slimy and all the veggies on the pizza were not fresh. The most disgusting thing we ordered was the garlic bread. These people must've just gone to the grocery store in the bread aisle, cut the bread in half, And just put it in the oven. There was little to no seasoning or anything on top. This has to be some of the worst pizza I've ever eaten in my entire life, and I've lived in six states...not to mention, it cost $45 for garlic bread, a large pizza, and a small pizza. I just sort of happened in on Dion's tonight. I knew nothing about them previously but I'm sure glad I wound up going! The young woman at the drive through was very nice, welcoming and professional. I was also glad to see that all of the staff in the kitchen as well as my server were not only wearing masks (in compliance with the state of N.M. COVID prevention guidelines), they were wearing them correctly. Much appreciated Dion's! About the food - I was stoked I could get a gallon of freshly-made Arnold Palmer and am enjoying some right now. The meatball sub was great and the roll for the sub was outstanding. Dion's remains a nice place for pizza, sandwiches, and salads in a casual atmosphere. I stopped in for lunch and found Dion's bright, clean, and efficient as usual. This is about as pleasant and comfortable as it gets for an order at the counter and pick up your meal when you are called kind of place. There are a lot of comfortable booths and tables and chairs if you prefer. The service was pleasant and of course the prices are quite reasonable. Today I ordered a MEATBALL SANDWICH with chips and a large lemonade. It is really nice to have a place that serves meatball sandwiches in the southwest. The lemonade was good and refreshing, but not outstanding. Rate the lemonade a B. The meatball sandwich came with a little cup of warmed marinara sauce. The six meatballs were very good but could have used a bit more Italian seasoning....but perhaps I'm being too picky here. The bread was really good with a slight crispy crust. It was fresh and delicious. The sandwich was put through the oven before being served. This was a really good meatball sub....rate it a B+ or A-. Would order it anytime. Overall, I've upped my rating for the Dion's dining experience to FOUR-AND-A-QUARTER STARS...meaning very good. For the cost (and factor in no tipping) Dion's is hard to beat. read more

I had stopped at the Lohman location in Las Cruces coming home with my grandsons. The pizza was delicious as was their pastrami sub. Make sure you order the extra meat and cheese on their subs. It's only $1 more per item. Sub rolls are the best I have eaten. Four star rating was due to cashier making it more difficult than it had to be to place the order. Went to Las Cruces for lunch today running errands. Called in after seeing it was super busy on Google Maps, and ordered ahead. This place has a drive thru and it's so convenient! Dion's pizza was delicious, got the 505, with half pepperoni and half green chili pepperoni, they messed up, made a whole one and so redid it. Manager came out and hand delivered my pizza, apologized for the error, and gave me a brownie for my trouble. Excellent service! read more

One hour drive worth it!I love their Gourmet chicken salad, as vegetarian i simply ask for the chicken on the side (husband ends up eating it) so it doesn't taint my salad it's spring mix lettuce, pecans, bleu cheese crumbles & my favorite raspberry vinaigrette! Downgraded now by one star. We don't ALWAYS get Dion's, but it is our favorite. Because sometimes you just don't want gooey cheese sliding off your pizza. Dion's tends to be over cheesy. For some of you that may be a good thing, not here. I don't like pizza for the cheese, I like it for the sauce, crust, and other toppings. Cheese is just a garnish. But this last time it was off the charts gooey. Along with the gooey cheese, the green chile topping that we got was soaking wet. It soaked down through the sauce and through the crust.
