The restaurant location is perfect. It is located amongst SO many stores (TJ Maxx, Ulta, Five Below, Old Navy, DSW, Rack Room Shoes, etc) for a bite to eat without having to leave if you're shopping. Upon arrival, the restaurant is clean and the menu accomodates nearly every diet. I was greeted by the cashier and I like how they have the pick two (sandwich/salad/soup). I got the 1/2 spicy turkey melt and 1/2 veggie chili. The melt was really good. My only hangup is that I ordered it to go and it took a while for my food to be ready that I may as well have just stayed and ate. read more

Service was bland and dry! No "welcome to McAlisters" or greeting. More importantly, the spud I ordered/received was a joke! How is this the "SIGNATURE Spud Max" looking this way? A giant potato with the toppings to fill a quarter of it properly. However, everyone appeared to be busy processing previous orders and I didn't even get a hello. Someone did walk by me And took a phone call for her to go order without even acknowledging that I was standing there waiting to order. 9-3-25 We ordered a takeout of two large French Dip sandwiches. We got home and found out that they left the au jus out. So, I went back to the restaurant and I told the girl that the kitchen personnel left out the au jus. They were really not that busy. The kitchen staff gave me one cup of au jus after he was told by his co worker that she needed two cups of au jus. He said that was enough for two large sandwiches. McAlister's is known for their loaded spuds and sweet tea (yes, we got both), but customer service is generally hit and miss. NOT THE CASE at this location. From the helpful person at the register to the kind soul who cleared our table, their joy for customer service and their company shined through. I was incredibly impressed and they a genuinely added to our experience with their positive attitudes! I had the spud max and turkey crunch sandwich--both very good. I walked in and the staff behind the counter were very friendly and helpful and gave me some help with all the options on the menu. I used to love when my mother would take me to McAlisters back in 2013, now as an adult it has completely went down the toilet. Poor, poor management. Orders were not correct and workers went back and forth about how the orders were incorrect. Employee literally was yelling and cursing that made me uncomfortable not only for myself but to the other workers. I ordered a fruit cup with my order and instead of telling me they were out of fruit, they decided to give me a cup of applesauce. I paid over $3 bc I wanted fruit, I was not okay with them substituting my fruit for applesauce. If I wasn't starving and if Wendy's had regular side salads I would've never given this establishment my money. I am so disgusted with this McAllister's! I placed an order for delivery. They were out of the desert I ordered. Then they called me and I just asked them to substitute. There was nothing to substitute with, it was all frozen. I told them just to cancel that part of the order, I did not want to wait on something to get thawed. The girl I was speaking to told me she would talk to the manager and hung up on me. Twenty minutes later my order gets delivered. The sandwich was not prepared right and they had delayed the delivery because they did thaw something out, kind of. I can never get my order from here right. I've gotten the wrong sandwich, no sides and orders that were halfway done. This store needs new management and a new staff that cares about what they are doing! read more

I'm appalled by the lack of knowledge throughout the staff. I've never had to clarify so many times what I want. Asked them 5x to whisk the sweet tea, they "couldn't find a whisk".. what do you mean? Asked 5x for a sauce and after one person brought out 3 different sauces and I had to explain in detail what it was, I couldn't believe I had to describe it to an employee. It's chipotle sauce people... An employee literally sent out another employee to see what I needed. My work ordered in lunch from here for a team meeting and I wish I had taken a picture of just how sad my veggie wrap was!! Since I unfortunately don't have a photo, let me paint a picture with words instead: - One leaf of lettuce - 1 small size cheese slice - 2 pieces of tomatoes - some 7-8 small cubed cucumber pieces And that's it!! I couldn't believe it! It's not as if I got this veggie wrap for free - my work actually paid good money for this, and so I reckon the least these guys could have done was acted with equal integrity and provided a decent lunch which was fairly paid for. I mean you could have added Avocado, olives, onions or how about perhaps more than just that 1 slice of cheese! To really rub my nose into it, I sat next to a coworker who was eating a ham sandwich and this had several layers of the meat stacked up, so you could actually see the filling, whereas mine was all bread and almost NO vegetables! It was just truly a sad lunch experience for me, and so based on how un-generous they are with the fillings (for veggie wrap at least) I don't plan to go back here and definitely will try to avoid work ordering from here again. After several restaurants in the area were without power due to severe storms on Friday, March 3, I finally went to the Poplar Avenue location. I was already running late to bring my husband lunch because he only gets 30 minutes. I waited quite a while to place my order then waited at least 30 minutes to get it. Others who came after me were getting their orders. I had to ask twice about mine. Usually I check my orders before leaving any restaurant but I was in a hurry and had never had a bad experience with the Stage Road Bartlett location so I just took my lunches and left. There seemed to be absolutely no team work in the back and orders were getting mixed up. My lunches didn't have the pickle and my soup was lukewarm. I was later told that this location was never that good. I won't be back. read more

I came here at 8 tonight to get some tea and was informed that they were "out of unsweet tea" (aka they didn't want to make anymore because they wanted to start cleaning an hour before close. I worked in the service industry.. that's not how it works. Your job is to make the customer happy, not to get off work at 9pm on the dot because it's Friday night and you are lazy. Update: just went in the mcallisters at 6:30pm. Again, only ONE tea machine has tea and it's unsweet. Two are already cleaned for the night and turned over and the sweet is out. I'm told it will be 8 minutes if I want sweet tea. This is the laziest store in town. read more
