We stopped by the McAlister's in Germantown and had a really nice experience. Chris, the manager, took my order and made us feel welcome as soon as we came in. I got the club on a wheat wrap with mac and cheese on the side. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade. We dined in, and the lobby was clean and comfortable. Everything was just easy and pleasant from start to finish. I'm glad we decided to eat there. I'll definitely be back to try one of the spuds next time! read more

The restaurant location is perfect. It is located amongst SO many stores (TJ Maxx, Ulta, Five Below, Old Navy, DSW, Rack Room Shoes, etc) for a bite to eat without having to leave if you're shopping. Upon arrival, the restaurant is clean and the menu accomodates nearly every diet. I was greeted by the cashier and I like how they have the pick two (sandwich/salad/soup). I got the 1/2 spicy turkey melt and 1/2 veggie chili. The melt was really good. My only hangup is that I ordered it to go and it took a while for my food to be ready that I may as well have just stayed and ate. read more

Service was bland and dry! No "welcome to McAlisters" or greeting. More importantly, the spud I ordered/received was a joke! How is this the "SIGNATURE Spud Max" looking this way? A giant potato with the toppings to fill a quarter of it properly. I asked the lady if it was possible to get some meat added because there was hardly anything on the spud and she looked at it and said "yeah, for an additional charge!" I should've just refunded and left but it was too late at night to find another option as this is what I wanted. ALSO: PLEASE PULL UP THE CARPET or whatever is causing that horrible smell inside the restaurant! read more

McAlister's Deli - Spud Max - Salad Near Me - Germantown, Tennessee

Two separate take-away orders placed in person at the counter last Saturday. Eight items ordered between the two. Of these eight, five were wrong. Not some tiny forgot-the-mustard booboo, but simply and radically wrong. As but one example, the "jus" to accompany the French dip turned out to be an unordered broccoli soup. Not a confusion of two groups' orders, either--there were no other customers about at the time. And this was the second recent occasion for such service. I used to dine at McA's frequently, and enjoyed it--great salads. Bu here we have two occurrences that suggest systemic disorder behind the counter, not to mention a strong measure of uncaring. There is no way that getting five out of eight items wrong can count even as acceptable service, let alone good. I should think that my next visit to this establishment, if any, will be motivated by idle curiosity: Six errors, anyone? read more

Everyone food was great but my ham and cheese melt only had 2 thin slices. Everything else was good

I went into the McAllister's in Germantown on Poplar Avenue today. I stood at the counter for a little better than five minutes waiting for somebody to take my order. However, everyone appeared to be busy processing previous orders and I didn't even get a hello. Someone did walk by me And took a phone call for her to go order without even acknowledging that I was standing there waiting to order. I really wanted a club sandwich today however I ended up walking out because nobody acknowledged me or took my order. read more

Food was fine, and place was nice, but customer service was poor (need to smile, look at you in the eye, that kind of thing). Bathrooms not very clean. read more

McAlister's is known for their loaded spuds and sweet tea (yes, we got both), but customer service is generally hit and miss. NOT THE CASE at this location. From the helpful person at the register to the kind soul who cleared our table, their joy for customer service and their company shined through. I was incredibly impressed and they a genuinely added to our experience with their positive attitudes! I had the spud max and turkey crunch sandwich--both very good. We had no wait at the counter and only a short wait for our food to arrive (order at the counter and seat yourself here!) ambiance is basic--though they were well decorated for Christmas, which we appreciated! Pro Tip: Order on the app if there is a line (there wasn't yesterday) OR snag a table, scan the QR code and order straight from your seat! read more

9-3-25 We ordered a takeout of two large French Dip sandwiches. We got home and found out that they left the au jus out. So, I went back to the restaurant and I told the girl that the kitchen personnel left out the au jus. They were really not that busy. The kitchen staff gave me one cup of au jus after he was told by his co worker that she needed two cups of au jus. He said that was enough for two large sandwiches. I told her that is not enough for two large sandwiches. So, I had to wait another few minutes before the kitchen person to make another cup. Wow! read more

I came here with a group of about 6-10 coworkers and had a wonderful experience. One of the cashiers went above and beyond to help make our day and we all really appreciated that. We all had a good time, all got our food exactly as we ordered, and all would come back to this location! read more

McAlister's Deli - Salad: Southwest Chicken & Avocado Salad Sandwich: Spicy Southwest Chicken - Salad Near Me - Germantown, Tennessee

No wonder you only have a two star rating. just because you get busy, customers would probably want to wait a little longer, to ensure decent food. Lunch for three was almost 50.00 without drinks. Basic club bread barely toasted. The Memphian with mustard was soaked in mustard. so much mustard it made the bread soggy. I had to replace with bread I had. Won't be back. read more

Ordered food table side from the app. It took over an hour for the food to make it to the table. The chili cup was one big grease pit that was inedible. Such a disappointment after waiting so long for the food. No real help from the manager other than sorry. read more

The ambiance is casual.. so kids are welcome. The service was taken by an inexperienced server and the in the kitchen wasn't much better. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and made sure I said no bacon. If I had wanted bacon I would of ordered a club sandwich which there were many. My friend order a corn beef and ended up with Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut. Needless to say we were not happy. I forgot to take pictures. Help someone get them some training. Please help. We'll think before we choose McAlister's Deli again. We ordered from Germantown. read more

This location of McAlister's was absolutely wonderful. We are from CA and new to McAlister's and this location should be used as a model for the company as far as being expedient and the level of customer service modeled by Miss Sheila. Wonderful job! read more

It has been quite a while since I have eaten at a McAlister's. This location was near so i decided to give it a try. I walked in and the staff behind the counter were very friendly and helpful and gave me some help with all the options on the menu. Best French dip ever! We need one opened back in Jonesboro. Service was very good and fast.

I came in for my Grubhub order and it took forever for me to get acknowledged meanwhile the 2 out front were on their phones and dancing around and there was hardly anyone in here I don't know why I had to wait so long and why they were rude. It looks unprofessional to have employees playing on the phone at front counter while ignoring people. They had a bad attitude and very rude read more

I gave it 1 star only because the staff seemed to be working hard or I would have given it a 0. The wait was horrendous. If you don't have staff to prepare a half sandwich and pour a cup of soup within 30 minutes, just close the restaurant. This is not our regular McAllisters, but it is for several people in our group and they've all said they won't be back. read more

I was waiting forever for my food! A person that came in later received her food, I was still waiting. I will not be going to them ever again!! read more

Average food but slow service at times We had the potato soup and salad for lunch recently

I love McAlister's, just not this one. The staff there are obviously not trained. The kitchen staff there have no idea what they are doing. It is not hard to make a wrap. It is not hard to make a sandwich. The poor girl, taking my order did not even know the items on the menu I ordered tomato soup, and they were out of tomato soup. I wanted a side salad. She charged me for something totally different. Overall, it was just a bad experience. Needless to say this, McAllister's location needs some serious help. The staff need to be training thoroughly in order to provide proper service for guest. read more

Ordered delivery today for lunch. Had a Sub with Black Forest ham, smoked turkey, roast beef, and provolone. It was excellent.

Re downloaded Yelp just to write this. What the hell. Walked in and there were two employees at the register. They both saw us and turned around to talk to the kitchen. They all started loudly gossiping and cursing. We waited about 30 seconds, talking to each other at a volume they could hear, and they never turned back around. They clearly didn't want to serve us. We walked right out and are heading to Newks. read more

I used to love when my mother would take me to McAlisters back in 2013, now as an adult it has completely went down the toilet. Poor, poor management. Orders were not correct and workers went back and forth about how the orders were incorrect. Employee literally was yelling and cursing that made me uncomfortable not only for myself but to the other workers. I ordered a fruit cup with my order and instead of telling me they were out of fruit, they decided to give me a cup of applesauce. I paid over $3 bc I wanted fruit, I was not okay with them substituting my fruit for applesauce. If I wasn't starving and if Wendy's had regular side salads I would've never given this establishment my money. I just hope they do better, I would hate for people to get fed up and not supporting this chained restaurant. read more

They rang me up for an UNsweet tea and didn't have the tea! Had to get water. Also, restaurant smelled like someone had burned something in the kitchen. read more

I am so disgusted with this McAllister's! I placed an order for delivery. They were out of the desert I ordered. Then they called me and I just asked them to substitute. There was nothing to substitute with, it was all frozen. I told them just to cancel that part of the order, I did not want to wait on something to get thawed. The girl I was speaking to told me she would talk to the manager and hung up on me. Twenty minutes later my order gets delivered. The sandwich was not prepared right and they had delayed the delivery because they did thaw something out, kind of. I can never get my order from here right. I've gotten the wrong sandwich, no sides and orders that were halfway done. This store needs new management and a new staff that cares about what they are doing! read more

I'm appalled by the lack of knowledge throughout the staff. I've never had to clarify so many times what I want. Asked them 5x to whisk the sweet tea, they "couldn't find a whisk".. what do you mean? Asked 5x for a sauce and after one person brought out 3 different sauces and I had to explain in detail what it was, I couldn't believe I had to describe it to an employee. It's chipotle sauce people... An employee literally sent out another employee to see what I needed. Took him one trip. 10/10 do not recommend coming here unless you want to jump behind the counter and do the job for these people. They clearly do not know anything! read more

My work ordered in lunch from here for a team meeting and I wish I had taken a picture of just how sad my veggie wrap was!! Since I unfortunately don't have a photo, let me paint a picture with words instead: - One leaf of lettuce - 1 small size cheese slice - 2 pieces of tomatoes - some 7-8 small cubed cucumber pieces And that's it!! I couldn't believe it! It's not as if I got this veggie wrap for free - my work actually paid good money for this, and so I reckon the least these guys could have done was acted with equal integrity and provided a decent lunch which was fairly paid for. I mean you could have added Avocado, olives, onions or how about perhaps more than just that 1 slice of cheese! To really rub my nose into it, I sat next to a coworker who was eating a ham sandwich and this had several layers of the meat stacked up, so you could actually see the filling, whereas mine was all bread and almost NO vegetables! It was just truly a sad lunch experience for me, and so based on how un-generous they are with the fillings (for veggie wrap at least) I don't plan to go back here and definitely will try to avoid work ordering from here again. Everytime I come to the location on Poplar/Exeter I always have a good experience and they make you feel welcomed. Staff is great !

I frequent other mcalisters in town multiple times a week for lunch. I came here at 8 tonight to get some tea and was informed that they were "out of unsweet tea" (aka they didn't want to make anymore because they wanted to start cleaning an hour before close. I worked in the service industry.. that's not how it works. Your job is to make the customer happy, not to get off work at 9pm on the dot because it's Friday night and you are lazy. Update: just went in the mcallisters at 6:30pm. Again, only ONE tea machine has tea and it's unsweet. Two are already cleaned for the night and turned over and the sweet is out. I'm told it will be 8 minutes if I want sweet tea. This is the laziest store in town. read more

After several restaurants in the area were without power due to severe storms on Friday, March 3, I finally went to the Poplar Avenue location. I was already running late to bring my husband lunch because he only gets 30 minutes. I waited quite a while to place my order then waited at least 30 minutes to get it. Others who came after me were getting their orders. I had to ask twice about mine. Usually I check my orders before leaving any restaurant but I was in a hurry and had never had a bad experience with the Stage Road Bartlett location so I just took my lunches and left. There seemed to be absolutely no team work in the back and orders were getting mixed up. My lunches didn't have the pickle and my soup was lukewarm. I was later told that this location was never that good. I won't be back. read more
