Do not go here! Wait time will definitely be 30 minutes in length. Me and my husband were 1 of 3 guests in the entire restaurant and we waited and waited and waited. We ordered from the menu, made no substitutions, and we just sat. It took 30 minutes and we only ordered 2 sandwiches and chips. This place needs help in a real way. One cashier and a line out the door!! How do they not have staff at a sandwich shop at noon on a Monday?!? - duh!!!! I should have known it was busy when I couldn't find parking and had to park at the Fazolis next door. It took 20 minutes just to place our order. Do not go here if you get a short lunch. The Olive garden around the corner would have been faster for the same price. The cashier asked if we qualified for the 60 and over senior discount. I'm 52 and my husband is 56. I wanted to give our McAllister reward number for points but my husband was so angry about the long wait he said "we don't have time for that crap!" so I didn't get my points. We were given teeny tiny water cups. Usually I ask for a large cup but my husband's anger over the wait threw me off my game. I read the positive reviews, and they all refer to a different location. Miller land has no drive thru. My husband gets the New Yorker and the chili every time we come here. That's why we come. They have no New Yorker at Panera. If they did, we'd probably never come here because panera is so much faster. I get the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and broccoli cheddar soup. It's delicious. We arrived at noon and our food finally came to us at 12:45. My husband has an important work appointment after lunch and the 45 minute wait for food was tragic. Everything could improve, I ordered a hot sandwich, I guess whoever made it wasn't made aware hot means hot! I stood in line 2 times trying to get my order fixed, I gave up on the line saw a person standing back where sandwiches came from. So I walked up were I could get a managers attention, my soup was very cool, sandwich was thrown together, everyone in my party said they had to eat whatever they had been served as they had to get back to work... On a whim, we decided to switch up our usual stop on the way home from visiting grandma and grandpa. I searched Yelp for nearby restaurants and McAlister's popped up. "Let's go there!" I suggested when my husband said he had never been to a McAlister's. We were greeted immediately when we walked in, and the employee behind the counter said "I'll give you a second to look at the menu, just let me know when you're ready to order." When we were ready, it was a pick 2 combo for me (Tortilla Soup and McAlister's Club) and a McAlister's Club for my husband. We took our seat and our food was delivered a few short minutes later. It was just the thing we needed to break up a long car trip with a fussy kiddo. The food was fresh, the flavors were delicious, and the portion sizes hit the spot. They were even kind enough to bring us some applesauce and a small cookie for our little one. Speaking of little one, I had to use the Koala Kare to change LO into pajamas after the meal, and the bathrooms were clean, including the changing table. That jived with the cleanliness of the whole restaurant, which was a refreshing change from some places we have stopped recently. On our way out, a friendly employee chatted with us about LO and offered some complimentary cookies. I was happy for the road snacks and appreciated her additional wishes for a safe trip home. It turned out to be more than just a dinner stop, it was a much needed refreshment to charge us back up for our car trip. The quality of the food was matched by the courteousness of the staff - they seemed genuinely happy that we were there. I ordered two meals for the price of 10.99 so when my total came up to $30 for two meals, I thought how did that happen so after sitting for a little while went back up to the front to have someone else other than the person who rang me up to explain to me where the extra almost 7 dollars extra came from and they explained that everything that had a P buy it was an enough charge or to me that wasn't made very clear and it would be nice to have the cashier stated OK I have you down for etc. etc. there's up charge on so so are you OK with that? I have been here twice and the food has been excellent both times. Loved the chicken salad sandwich and today I had the chicken and dumpling soup which tasted like Mom's! So while waiting to get a to go container (I was totally ignored and had to get their attention after all this went down) the manager Amber was extremely rude to a customer over one baked potato. I don't know all the details and the customer was not the most pleasant either but it was ambers duty to make it right. She told the customer they could just leave. She was so rude that another couple that was about to order decided to just leave. All amber had to do was be calm and give the customer the potato and instead she was a poor role model as a manager. I've waiting 45min outside checked in twice wen tin to ask where my order was they had it behind the counter so every time I came in it was not on the shelf for pickup orders Ana curbside this has happened 3 times. I walked in thinking this was a typical restaurant bar place because of the name. But it was a salad sandwich place. Very clean and bright. And even though there was only one family there at the time I walked in to look at the menu which was enticing. I got the half salad half sandwich offer and the food was great. Update: I stopped in here for lunch today. I had the Pepper jack turkey sandwich on ciabatta bread. It came with a side and I choose steamed broccoli. The pepper jack gave the sandwich a slight bit of heat and the grade of turkey was very good. It was all good and I'd recommend it. 10 of us had 'box lunches' that we got from McAlister's today. Several had turkey on wheat, American cheese, lettuce, tomato. Chips sugar cookie. Others had ham on ciabatta, lettuce, tomato, American cheese. Mixed fruit and a chocolate chip cookie. And a couple had roast beef on a hogie bun, American cheese, lettuce and tomato. Potato salad and chocolate chip cookie. It as all OK. Nothing wrong but just ok. read more

I don't know what I expected from this cute deli with a very nice staff and a fairly expensive menu, but it was a lot more than what I experienced. I got the garden, fresh turkey, which advertised smoked turkey... This was the lowest quality lunch meat you can buy. Anyone recall the Buddig brand? This is identical. And...the soup was as thick as opening a can of cream of chicken soup. Literally. Not good. The reason I gave it two stars and not less? Because the carrot cake was delicious. Although there food is typically good I CANNOT recommend using them as a catering company. Had visitors from Europe that we called in a catering order for and we were notified 10 minutes before lunch was to be delivered that they had cancelled the order because their doordash partner could not arrange a driver to deliver it. Took forever for them to pick phone up. The blue corn Tortilla Straps were left off my salad. When I got my salad it was a mess. Salad on the box top, salad sticking out from the box. When I called about the missing corn chips they said since it's a garnish there was nothing they could do although it is part of the salad. First off, I wasn't asking for a refund but maybe part back in credit for everything. And the salad was not very good. Chicken is shaved with no flavor and very little of it. Sit down and look up at light fixtures and the shades are covered in dust. . Two flat screen TV's hanging on the wall, but neither are on and both covered in dust. Worse Mother's Day experience ever. First you had to order from your phone which was very confusing for my 80 year old mother. Then they were out of several items on the menu. Hats off to the entire Miller lane McAlister's Deli crew for handling today's fire scare. The manager made sure his entire dinning room and crew members were out of the building and safely outside. What a GREAT LEADER! Once we were given to OK to return, the entire crew jumped right back in like nothing happened. Our food was fresh, hot and stellar, as expected, regardless of the minor hiccup. The dining room, tables, booths and restrooms were spotless! You can tell that this crew takes pride in their work and it shows. Keep up the great service. You have a customer for life :) read more

I ordered the "Tuna Salad" ... sounded just right for a light lunch. Tuna on a bed of lettuce with some "fixin's" and a neat chipotle peach dressing. It took forever to get to the table for reasons known only to the Mcalister's staff ... many who came later were served before. But the reason I'm giving this restaurant one star is because the portion of tuna was miniscule. I'm not certain I can post the photo I took, but think about 1.5 to 2 teaspoons. Absolutely, positively ridiculously tiny. I would have paid more for the meal to get a decent scoop or two of tuna ... even the server called it a "rip off" when I complained. This was my first and last visit to any McAlister's Deli anywhere. You guys keep the crappy little portion of Tuna you sized to keep your margins where you want them. In the meantime, I, and I'm sure many like me, will take my dining dollars elsewhere forever. read more
