What a disappointment. We hired Gilbert because we had used his Dad before he retired and turned…read morethe company over to Gilbert. We liked the job his father did so we figured his son would have the same skills and work ethic. We hired Gilbert to install 2 shower glass enclosures and doors. At first glance the work seemed fine. But after moving into the home a few weeks later, we discovered the shower door glass in our master bathroom was not at the same height as the rest of the glass surround. We brought this to Gilbert's attention and he said the glass door was installed first since the other glass had broken in transit. If this was the case he should have waited for the surround before he installed the door since that is why there was a height difference. We asked him to fix the issue and he said that it would need to put a hole in the tile where the glass meets the wall which would possibly show. Of course, we didn't want two visible holes in the tile so we decided we would have to live with it. Then we also noticed that in both bathrooms there is a lot of silicon caulking where the glass meets the tile extending out from the glass on both sides by about 1-2 inches. We called him about this as well and he told us he would come out to remove the glue. 2 weeks later Gilbert was nowhere to be found. So, we texted and called him 3 times and have never heard back. Gilbert also filled the gaps between the bottom of the glass and the tile with up to ¼ inch of caulking in both bathrooms which looks terrible. It looks like an amateur measured the glass and just added clear caulking to dummy it up. Of course, after a few weeks the caulking is not clear so it looks really bad. All of this cost us $4,000!!! Unbelievable. Update: we finally got Gilbert on the phone and after many excuses as to why his work was the way it was, he agreed to come out and fix his work. He came out, looked things over and told us he would get back to use once he ordered a part he needed to order to even up the door with the glass surround. That was several weeks ago, several calls and texts, and still no Gilbert. I hope that his father reads this review as he should know what his son is doing to his company's reputation. Obviously, we won't be recommending Gilbert.
