Breeding ground for infections. The towel my hand was placed on was wet. Afterwards, the tech put the towel to the side over another dirty towel. Towels were never placed in a container. You can smell the dust of nail in the air. Nail file and buffers were used before me, there were markings all over. Washable does not mean antibacterial. I didn't see any cleaning chemicals for the tools, maybe they were in the back, but the instruments used on me were tucked back in the drawer where the tech initially grabbed it from. My tech had paint on her fingers, not on the nail but on the skin. Which I just assume would wash off if she washed her hands or used a wipe when it got on her skin. Probably the worst of it all, the tech used a platform for me to rest my wrist on. The tech gave the platform to another tech who fixed it by shaving down one leg of the platform. After they shaved it down, the person gave it back to my tech, there were plastic and rubber shavings all over this platform. My tech didn't care to even wipe the scrapes off, she just put my wrist on the platform and then put lotion on me. So my hand had plastic scraps up to my forearms. I just had the tech stop so I can wash my hands in the one sink they had which was in the bathroom. I just regret not stopping and leaving before it continually got worse. overall I've come here a couple times and I don't know if I will go back after this last time. I feel like they always give me the worst girl or literally no one knows how to do nails there. I got no chip and they chipped with in one week. I go back to fix my nail and they tell me they'll just do a clear coat until I stood my ground and told them I need actually polish on my nails like my nails is messed up. It almost seemed like they didn't really care or think they didn't anything wrong. Then while fixing my nails the lady forgot to put clear coat on one of the fingers, so the next day my nails started peeling and I had to go back. After getting that nail fixed it chipped and pealed again 2 days after. At this point I feel that they owe me for my time. If I pay for something to get done do it right the first time. Lady also took an hour and a half just to do a no chip manicure and filed my nailed sideways. I felt completely rushed and overwhelmed while choosing my color as well. I recommend if you're not picky about your nails or your time. read more

Terrible service! Waited 40 minutes with my feet in water waiting for a pedicure. Employees kept walking past without even acknowledging that I had been sitting there as the water kept getting colder. I also noticed that 2 other people had been sitting there longer than myself waiting in the water. I finally got my feet out and dried off and walked out!!! Nobody seemed to care that I was leaving. I've come here a couple of times and had no issues. Except for today, when my nail tech made annoying comments. Asking me at every visit if I want my eyebrows done. If I wanted my eyebrows done, I would get them done. She said my eyebrows have no shape. I'm like ok, I'm not really taking advice from someone who has tattooed eyebrows that is too dark for their complexion. When I asked if it was ok for me to put on my shoes, she said probably not, that's why I told you to get no chip. Like I said, if I wanted no chip on my toes, I would of gotten it. Have been going here for years and love the nail techs. Unfortunately went there today and they let someone not wearing a mask get their nails done . They did not ask her to put a mask on or to leave. That shows me they don't care about their custoners safety. Not sure if I'll be returning. read more

Fantastic! I have not been here before but I will be back. Rose took her time with my pedicure. My dry skin and calluses are a thing of the past. As is my ingrown toenail. Queeny is the best! These were my wedding nails and they turned out perfect. She really took her time and did exactly what I had imagined. I highly recommend Queeny! Queeny also has done my nails for other weddings and she even will accommodate time and even come in early to make sure I'm seen. She was such a great referral. Went to get a pedicure with work friends and each asked for a "happy" pedicure. The Pedicure lasted about 15 minutes and it was supposed to come with a 6 minute massage which lasted all of 30 seconds. The tech also did not wear gloves and kept wiping her nose. Also with the tools that they used were not cleaned or sterilized in between customers. Will not be coming back. read more

They completely cut up our nails, and disregarded it 100%. Nails are crazy uneven and the designs are so wiggly. They don't listen to the shape and or colors you pick. Told us they accepted a certain payment, and then when i went to pay they told me that they don't accept it and that i needed to find a way to pay while their atm was out of service. Would not recommend at all. Lady that worked there was wearing a night gown and slippers. Terrible service. read more

One star is overly rated at this place. My Neice went for a pedicure and I went for a mani/pedi. My Neice got an infection on her toe after the Nail tech gauged her. My Neice said Ouch and the tech said nothing. She had to go to the dr get antibiotics and then got a yeast infection due to antibiotics. VERY EXPENSIVE AFTERNOON. My manicure was not good either. The lights are a bit low and when I got into the sunlight, my polish was put on streaky. She soaked my nails for my mani for about 15 Sec ...and in a rush! As I sat in the chair for the pedi tech made me reach over towards her so she could do my manicure. Very uncomfortable and a very bizarre experience for both of us. You be the judge! read more

I wrote a review on this nail salon about a year ago praising Sara for a great set. But since then they have replaced almost all of their staff with people who cannot communicate due to language barriers and are not adequately trained in any way. I literally had no way of telling this woman (Julie) what I wanted or needed. I had to stop several other employees to help me translate and even they didn't know what I was saying. She got so much super glue on me that she even glued herself to me at one point and then didn't bother to clean it off of me. I had so much glue and acrylic all over one hand it looked like my skin was falling off. She cut me with the drill in three spots and made me bleed. Got blood on the drill tips, file, and buffing square and then put them right back without sanitizing them. She was clearly not trained cause my nails are over built in most spots and over filed in others. My skin is raw around ALL my nails. I was told by an old employee before they turned over their staff if I wanted to bring in my own gel polish they would only charge me for a regular polish. I still got charged for a gel polish. A fill and a polish came out to $40. I'm very unhappy and won't be back. read more

i went inside, they didnt say a single word, not even a hello, nothing. Until a guy told me to sit down and that was it. That same guy and many other workers were just sitting their on their phone doing nothing. I was just waiting there for 10 minutes with no one saying a word to me, they didnt ask if i had an appointment, they didnt ask what i wanted or for what i came in for. I was very disappointed. And the fact that some of them didnt even have their masks on. Like helloo! id honestly rate no stars at all if i could. and they are sooo rude as well. not nice at all whatsoever and you can tell they are talking bad about you from their facial expressions they give and the attitude. read more

Terrible Service. My third time at this place and I was very upset. My appointment was at 6PM. I waited 35 minutes past my appointment for someone to get started. Then they rushed to finish my nails because there were so many other girls waiting. As a result of them rushing to get me done, my nails ended up CROOKED and they even cut my finger a bit with the machine cause they were going so fast. They did not tell me that multiple colors on your nails would be extra money. They did not even ask me what shape I wanted and then charged me extra. Charged me an arm and a leg for a job that was done sloppy and backwards. I will not be going back here EVER. read more

I went in for a regular manicure. The gentleman who did my nails used some electronic to file down along my cuticles and now I have a groove in my nails. He also took it right out of the drawer and you can tell that it been used before and was not clean. He soaked my fingers for about 30 seconds. Most places will soak you for a minimum of 10-15. I felt like I was cattle being rushed through. The younger gentleman did my toes and did a great job. read more

I came here on 10/19/17 while visiting family. I did not get the name of the man that did my nails, but he had a blonde streak in his hair. My pedicure was fine, it is the gel/no-chip manicure that I had a problem with. He would do one coat of polish on one finger, have me put my finger into the dryer for a few seconds while he did one coat on one finger of the other hand and switch on and off. I asked him if rushing will affect the manicure and cause it to chip, he said no. I was highly disappointed when it started chipping 2 days later. By then I had left town and could not return to ask them to address the issue. Won't be returning on my visits home and my family has stopped coming here as well. read more

Horrible service. My sister and I walked in in the middle of the day there was nobody waiting. They took one of us a few moments later which was fine but then another group of two ladies walked in and they helped them first before helping me. They did not have an appointment. Then the same lady who started my sister's nails then post her nails and had me start on my nails. Then both of us have partially done nails and they had me go sit for my pedicure which I told them I wanted at the very beginning. I sat waiting for a pedicure for a long time people walked in and they helped them I'm still waiting. Then all of a sudden the lady is in the middle of my sister's nails and she stops and starts on someone else's nails. Make it make sense. So I'm sitting there they finally start my pedicure and I have partially done nails. And then I finally finish the pedicure and go finish my nails. But the lady cut both me and my sister's fingers during the manicure. Also the pedicure lady has no pressure during their leg rub. I know the options are limited in McHenry but go somewhere else. read more

Today I went to get my nails done. Pedicure and Full set. All went well and Tony did a great job; however when I went to pay I was told I was not eligible for the loyalty program that is clearly advertise on a large sign on the wall because I didn't pay cash for the services. I only paid cash for the tip. Apparently only cash paying customers are rewarded. What type of service is that? It ruins the entire experience and isn't that part of what I am paying for? read more

I am continually disappointed here. The owner has not greeted me the last three times I have come nor did he look at the services I wanted and let me sit for about 15 minutes before looking at the list. I definitely don't mind waiting, but it was still another 30 minute wait after the initial 15 minutes and I had to be the one to ask how long it would be for an eyebrow wax or pedi to be acknowledged. The last woman to do my pedicure was in such a rush to finish because it was busy she cut my nail too short and it started bleeding and massaged my legs so hard I had a few bruises even after I asked her to please use less pressure. I am just disappointed they are more concerned with a time frame rather than quality service. I will be spreading the word and not coming back. Some suggestions would be to have someone who wants to speak to costumers to check people in ( sometimes they do sometimes they don't), the owner should not be answering phones while working on someone when they are paying for a service, acknowledge your customers politely and let them know if you are not able to handle their request before allowing them to sit there for 15 minutes with no interaction, train staff for massage, and learn how to still treat the customer even if it is a busy day. We should not be gyped on the service because you are overbooked. Simply tell the customer to come back or make and appointment. We are all paying the same. read more

Not very personalized at all today. Went for a manicure/pedicure . Receptionist signed me to a gentleman for the manicure . It was the fastest manicure I've ever had and not overly thorough . He barely said anything the whole time . He then moved me to a pedicure chair and walked away . After sitting there patiently for about 20 minutes I asked if someone could at least get the water going for me . Turned out no one was assigned my pedicure . Then there was the chaos of them finishing someone willing to do my feet. The gentleman that did the pedicure was nice enough although I didn't catch his name. No discount for the trouble and the gentleman that was up front was annoyed that he had to ring me up as the guys that had done my nails were busy and the receptionist was folding towels . Don't bother making an appointment! The last couple of times I went in there, I had to wait about 45 minutes because they take walk-ins without giving any regard to the people who did make appointments. If you are looking for good customer service this is NOT the place for you. When I sat down, the water for my pedicure was scalding hot so I asked her to please make it a bit cooler. The technician rolled her eyes at me. They also will only accept tips through cash. When I told the lady who waxed my eyebrows that I needed to get change from the front desk, and I would come back to tip, she followed me up and held her hand out as soon as I was handed my change!! Their prices have increased as well, plus when you add in the rude technicians, this place is not worth going to. read more

Been going here for some time and I used to enjoy going. Lately every time I go to the register to pay the prices increase or I can't use debit if I want to use my frequency card... Now you can't use debit for the tip. My nail technician that I used to do to no longer works there so I had to use someone else. The entire time she did my nails she complained about the nail tech that no longer works there. My daughter went later and rec'd a different nail tech and he filed her finger raw, didn't do what she wanted and didn't even do a good job. I tried to get her to go back and get what she wanted and have them look at the bleeding finger but because all of her nail beds are sore she will not go back. So disappointed... I have been a customer here for some time now also plenty of family and friends get their nails done here. There are several good technicians like Lynn, but some fall short. I had a horrible experience from Barb while I was there today. She had me sit at her table to wait, she was so careless while she was filling my nails with the machine she ended up cutting me 6 times on my cuticles and underneath my nail. She gave me a hard time with the color I was looking for as well as not wanting to cut down my nail length. When I was finished she wiped some lotion on my hands and wrists ( without massaging it in) and she immediately told me my total to pay. I paid in cash and she never returned with a receipt, my change or even a thank you. I would recommend this place as long as you call ahead for an appointment and ask for anyone but Barb. read more
