I don't know if it is economical, but we have been living on these meals for years already. I often get things slightly modified as hubby doesn't like some of the ingredients. They have all the seasonings, meat or fish frozen and, condiments etc. They give you an apron and card that has your meals printed on it. It tells you the measurements for each item. It will say 1 cup of flour as an example. There will be measuring cups and a container with the flour. There will also be a baggie for you to add your flour to. They have around 5 stations with different meals and you just go to the meal stations that you had chosen. When Covid hit, they had to stop people from coming in to make their meals. I tried another company that delivered to my door. It was fine for a long time but then I got tired of the selection and the meals always took me a long time to prepare. Two weeks ago I came back to Dream Dinners again. Right now you can order the meals and they will assemble them for you and you pick them it, this works really well. There are new owners and they are planning to open it up again for people to come in and assemble their meals. It's fun when you come with a friend, or friends to do it together. You will still be able to have them assemble the meals for a charge. The meals are great, I think they average around $8.00 a meal which will feed 2-3 people, it's a deal. Try them out, they have a website where you can order your meals, and pay when you order or pay some and rest when you pick it up.

Then you go and prepare them at your session, and can modify as necessary, if you want less salt or want to omit certain items. Then you take your meals home and freeze them, pull 2 out a week, and voila! Dinner in usually 15 mins or so. Just add your own sides. Their items are high quality and they offer a variety of meals. I am usually in and out of there in 1 hour and can make the meals stretch for a whole month. Try once! And join the VIP program if you think you'll become a regular!

How it works: create an account, look at the menus for the two months, order the minimum number of servings (I forgot what that amount is), and pick up your food during one of their published pickup time slots. In the Before Times (pre-COVID), you had to go into the store during a published time slot and assemble the meals yourself. You get a recipe card, then put all your ingredients in bags. They give you a cart, if I remember correctly, so you can cart around your meals as you assemble them. I think they just brought that back.
