I'm not sure why my 1st post isn't on here anymore as I posted here in August-but today when I came in with my family, we were greeted by our party host Harley who even remembered my son's name 5 months later! Anyhow I just want to say what an amazing experience we had here at our son's 8th birthday party. Our party host was Harley and definitely made the process easy and made our guests feel welcomed. As with any party, we had some last minute guests that arrived and I was worried about how to make it work but Harley came up with great solutions and just was so attentive. I would definitely recommend MB2 to celebrate any occasion but request Harley if you want to be able to actually enjoy it! read more

It took me awhile to write this but there's some hi points and low points to the track. Pricing. Pretty decent but if you pay for the track pass it's a decent deal plus every race is 18 after that The staff is fairly decent they run a tight schedule trying to get races out. But if you go on a weeekend where there are more junior races mixed in. If something isn't going good just talk to them I had a stuck braking issue on a cart and they investigated it ended up discounting the next race. I've been actively seeking to break 20-19 seconds around the track The track setup is fairly decent however it's trial and error. Also the start finish is on the backside of the track. It's not marked clearly but ask one of the guys so you can do a decent hot lap. Depending on the time you go you will get decent runs but if you go early you can do faster laps. So spoiler alert. It's best lap time wins so overtakes are key They use the signs but they don't. Use the flags unless it's a group setup for a race What I wish for Full gp race (practice/quali then race ) Or some kind of event series They have lazer tag. Vr and a small arcade This is a cheaper option but if I want top tier racing I have to go a hour away. This is local. They do care to a extent about their customers. Went to MB2 today and the staff was completely rude. Not one person greeted us when we walked in, even with no line. I asked about pricing and how it works and I got a rude response asking if I checked in yet. Then she pointed to a pricing sticker on the counter. Granted there were about 4 girls huddled together looking at TikToks. As I was paying for our races, she asked what shoes I was wearing and I had crocs on and she said they don't allow crocs so I rented shoes. Not a problem but when I see two other guys riding the carts with slides and no socks it didn't make sense. When we left I had to drop the rented shoes off to get my drivers license and not one thank you or goodbye. The group of girls where to busy now making a TikTok. Lacking customer service. read more

It was our first time and so I bought the package that had one race, laser tag and virtual reality game since they told me it would be 1 1/2 hours wait for the cart racing. I noticed there was a birthday party that kept going on over and over racing without waiting, therefore, we were pushed aside to wait again. Three hours later, I was done waiting, I wanted my money back and one of the staff refunded me, by then I said to myself I would never come here again. The staff were nice but the person that was having a party was very rude to the staff and they could not control them. The owner Jaret left for the day and it was out of control. Took our 8 year old nephew here. He had a blast so ultimately that's what matters to me. Beware of wait times being switched on you. Birthday parties and groups get to take cuts in line. We were told it would be a 55 minute wait but it turned into 2.5 hour wait because the groups got to go before us. In the future I will probably buy our tickets then leave for lunch and return. There's not enough to do in the arcade to kill 2.5 hours. read more

Being that it's the first day of spring break and the kids are about to go crazy from sitting home, I needed to find somewhere nearby to entertain them. I called and was advised they're open until midnight. There is plenty of parking available. I got here around 4:00 p.m. on a Friday afternoon. The place is quite large so it's easy to keep 6ft distance from people, however, they don't sanitize the arcade games between players. There a single line where you purchase tickets for racing, VR and laser tag. Keep in mind, before you get in line you're supposed to go to the kiosk and create an account if you haven't already done so. The line moves really slow. Thank god for Monte! He is kind, friendly, and so incredibly patient. He should be promoted. Elijah is also awesome!!! It was my first time here and Monte thoroughly explained everything and made sure I took advantage of their special package deals! This place is definitely fun. They have some really fun arcades. The VR is also entertaining but caused the kids a little anxiety. The wait for laser tag was about 15 mins but the kids wanted to go back for a second round, so must have been fun. The wait for racing was roughly 20-25 mins but the kids enjoyed themselves. Adult races include 14 laps. Junior races include 10 laps. I would definitely come back. Monte, you are an asset. Another tip - we left the place around 8:00 p.m that evening and they were jam packed. Line was ridiculously long and arcade was incredibly crowded. Get here early!! read more

Although by law they cannot offer a personality test to drivers to test their ability to be close an an electric go cart, as noted the safety rules are designed for everyone's enjoyment and personal safety. My 500th review!! Woo Hoo. Congratulations to you MB2 Raceway for being my 500th review on Yelp. Well what can I say about MB2 Raceway. First off this place is AWESOME! I had such a blast and I can't wait to go back. I've read the reviews about how people have to wait 3 hours, etc. We came here for a party so maybe we already had set reservations but I didn't see this place super packed at all, it was busy but not a 3 hour wait type of deal. Anyhow MB2 Raceway is super easy to find it's on Balboa right next to some houses and industrial businesss' which you can't miss on the left side. It's nice, roomy and cool. They have comfortable couches, fun racecars to look at, motorcyles to take pictures with, a huge race track, arcade area that's fun to play. We had the party room reserved which was just awesome, nice comfy sofas, a pool table, a cooler which had sodas and powerade and of course we brought our own food. The private room was very spacious and I forgot to mention we had our own TV as well as our own game system. Anyhow on to the racing, we had to watch a instructional video, the guys who were working the track area were friendly provided us assistance with the helmets, etc. Driving the racetrack was a whole different level, I had such a RUSHHHHHH going at high speeds and turns and just trying to beat the other players, it was super fun and very competitive. The first race I came in 3rd not bad for my first time. The 2nd round well it got too competitive with my family and I ended up crashing hardddd. I crashed into one of the bumpers and literally the bumper was on my arm. My family told me that the guys stopped the cars and just ran towards me within seconds to help me and asked me if I was okay which I said I was fine. A few seconds later they resumed the race and I was just zoooming away. Wow talk about a major rushhh! I had such an amazingggggg time!!! So after the race was over my family came up to me and asked if I was okay and I said I was fine, I didn't realize but I got some scratches/scrapes and a small burn on my hand. I was fine and I did go up to one of the attendants to ask for ice and bandage which they gladly did. The party host was great, very nice and kept asking if we needed anything, we also got some cool medals and hats for everyone from the party. All in all this place was a blast. When my son gets older I'm totally throwing him a party here haha. Great Fun, Great times indeed. Oh and you must be 48 inches tall for children. They are pricey but fun. They also have cool vending machines with dippin dots for $3.15. My only tip be careful on the raceway especially making those turns. :) read more

This establishment is a complete joke. I've been coming here for years and I always bring my friends and family here to have some fun but today was different. We ran into the prick Austin Huffman, the general manager whoever put this guy as a general manager made a bad business decision for his business, we bought three races and In the third race. My go kart that I was assigned was not charged and it completely ruined the fun it slowed us all down, they changed my kart out and didn't even restart the race for us after 3 more laps the race finished and we tried explaining it to the GM who made us wait a long time just to even speak to us, what a loser this guy is couldn't even give us another race said I will only give you half off thats all I'm going to do for them I don't even have to do anything for them when we asked to raced alone read more

After hearing about this place for years, I finally got opportunity to come here last week with friends for some male bonding and try my skill at kart racing. Located inside a large warehouse facility in Sylmar's business park area, the indoor track is actually pretty big and spacious with some cool ammenities like pool tables, air hockey and arcades. Perfect for private parties, corporate functions and birthdays, including a private room. The cool racing memorabilia displayed throughout including actual NASCAR race car next to the track provides a nice racing atmosphere and ambiance to the place. If you get hungry, there's a food shop that serves burgers, pizza, hot dogs and funnel cake. Plus plenty of tables, seats and sofas for checking out the racers speeding by. Since this was my first time, I opted for the $23 basic rate of 1 race (14 laps) which can seem a long time at first but, can finish fairly quickly. The race usually last about 10 minutes. You race with a group max of 10 people in electric cars wearing only a helmet as safety gear. I found the steering wheel a bit tough to steer and get used to at first, but after a few laps around the track I was maneuvering around tight corners with ease at full throttle. It was definitely a exciting and fun workout. Overall - Staff was pretty friendly and helpful. Although the price was bit expensive, I had a great time and can't wait to come back. On my next visit, I'll definitely get the $50 track pass which includes 2 Free Races (valid anytime), 1 Free Birthday Race, and 1 MB2 T-Shirt. For even better deal, Costco has a MB2 $50 gift card deal for only $40 and Groupon $11 for 14 lap. See you at the races! read more

Wow was that fun!! This place is huge! As we parked and entered MB2, I thiught to myself how big can this track really be? Well, huge! We headed to the counter where we were greeted with a "have you been here before?" "You have to sign up first!" Really?! No, "Hows it going?" "Welcome to MB2 Raceway." Or even a smile from the guy behind the counter. Anyway, headed over to the computer where we electronically filled out a waiver and contact information. After finishing we headed back to check in/pay, however Mr. PERSONALITY was not there to help us. Instead another associate helped us out, she was nicer, but later on we found out that she did not add my son's to a junior race, so they had to waut a little longer than we thought. Besides the earlier opportunities in customer service, our time spent at MB2 was fun! The karts really move around the track and if you're not careful you can easily find yourself in a wall. Before you head over go online and check out their pricing and find what right for you. We actually purchased a Groupon for $12 and got a 14 lap adult only race! What I really love is that unlike other indoor racing locations. Mb2 Raceway actually has an option where children taller than 48" can drive a car of their own and race against other kids, no adults allowed! read more

These aren't your grandmother's go-karts. These electric karts are pretty fast. Tires grip the corners great. You are racing against others in your group so there's a display board that shows your rank. They also give you a print out that portrays your stats, times, and best of the week performances after each race. The print out includes a $5 off your next visit. I bought the Living Social deal and got 14 laps for $11! It was so much fun! We paid for another race right after. The first one was good to get a feel for the kart and learn the track. The second time around was all out pedal to the metal. Only downside is getting around slow pokes that are running in the same group. At some points I found myself in the clear and away from everyone else. That was when it got really fun. And yea, that was me who crashed pretty hard into the side wall, but if you're not about to push your limits and take some risks, then what's the point?! This kind of reminds me of autocross as you need to position yourself correctly, manage accurate brake timing, and attempt to avoid slowing down by skidding out or fish tailing. Can't wait to do it again! Left my back a little sore the following day, but I've definitely run more uncomfortable karts than these. During the drive, it wasn't noticeable at all. Cool go carting spot. Beside go karts they also have a laser tag section and another arcade section, but we were here for the karting. First time at this location and cant complain. Although it is pricy but thats everywhere its a fair price for karting. We went on the weekend which is a bit pricier I guess monday thru Thursday they have a 2 race deal for $30 per person. Our races consisted of 14 laps which was around 10 minutes of karting. I think overall its a good spot. Definitely fun. Will be returning. read more

This had happened maybe a few months before and I was told the same thing so that time we decided to go bowling instead. We were almost turned off again this time but decided to go anyways. We decided we would go, get on the list and just hang out meanwhile maybe watch a movie or something in the car while waiting. Much to our surprise the wait was only about 45 min!
