Maybe it's our mistake that we came on a Sunday. But we called when coming and were told the wait is about 1h long. Which didn't sound too bad. I'm not going to talk about the pricing, we paid $113 for 2 kids and 2 races, you have to buy $6 annual membership. We arrived at 3pm, by 3:15pm purchased our races. They had 1!!!! Birthday party running at the same time. We were told that parties have priority and understand that but we did not expect that they would run the party ONLY for the next 2 hours. It's now 5:56pm, the kids did one race and next one would be in over an hour!!!! I wasn't aware that the parties have a PRIVATE use of the racetrack with no break in between. if we were told we'd spend 3 hours waiting for one race we would have made a better choice than wasting Sunday waiting. Will not be back! Will not recommend this place to anyone. Go somewhere else, the wait is not worth it.

Seems excessive for 2 races. Mandatory annual license fee? Seriously?? A bit desperate in my opinion.

This place has changed. It used to feel friendly and welcoming, but now the employees come across as robotic and inflexible, as if even a small, reasonable request causes confusion. We asked to be upgraded to the 3rd package they have, offering to pay the difference. They refused it outright, telling me I need to purchase a whole new set. Is that all that matters to you, the money grab? $26 a race seems a bit excessive to me. As a business, you can't always rely on rigid policies alone. Customer satisfaction should still matter, and some accommodation within reason goes a long way. This will be the last time I spend my money here. Management should take note: you're losing customers one unsatisfactory experience at a time.

Go to the Valencia location -- you'll get way more bang for your buck. It's literally about a 15-minute extra drive up the 5 from the Sylmar location, and it's 100% worth it. I've been to MB2 Valencia multiple times and always had a great experience. Music playing, good energy, tons of arcades, food, drinks (beer)-- it actually feels like a fun outing. I brought my family to Sylmar expecting something similar and was very disappointed. We tried overlooking a lot, but what really got me was the pricing. At Valencia, everything runs on a point system -- a go-kart race is around 50 points (~$12 per person). At Sylmar, one single race was $26.99 per person, plus a mandatory one time annual membership fee (~$6.99). I ended up spending about $70 for my two kids to race one time. The only reason I paid was because I promised them go-karts after a successful school year. I spent way more money for far less to do than I ever have at the Valencia location. At the end of the day, I guess it served as an experience to know never to go there again. I'd honestly say ignore the good Yelp reviews and make the short drive to Valencia instead -- it's a completely different experience.

Five years later, my son is having a blast again. Great place, we are here on a Sunday, not too many people. Got to race right away.

Had a great experience with their birthday package. Everything was easy and clear. Staff was friendly and professional. The complex is huge and clean. Every kid and parent had a blast. Natalie was a great host!

Another birthday party we were invited to MB2 . Very spacious, clean , professional track. It's indirect and carts are electric. Low noise and no smell. Place provides the helmets and carts. Interior is amazing and private room was VIP LEVEL. Highly recommended small arcade for kids after getting tired of driving ( IF that is even possible) haha. We brought our own food . It can get busy during the week but weekends early is better . Outside parking was great

Have some young friends from out of town and looking for something interesting to do. Go karting seemed like a good choice and MB2 seemed to have better reviews. We came here on a Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy. We were able to to check in and got to race almost right away. I'd imagine it would be quite a bit busier in the evenings and weekends. The equipment, such as the helmets and karts, was in decent condition. The staff was helpful and pretty diligent with safety. A staff member is present in the circuit controlling the speed limiters of the karts. The best option was the 3 race package. Each race consists of 15 laps. The first race started with few laps of medium speed limits to get the drivers acclimated with the karts and the circuit. The fun began when the higher speed limit kicked in. I think there would be as many as 12 karts per race when they are busy. There were 8 during ours with several teenagers who seemed to be regulars. One of them kept weaving along the circuit, which made it a bit frustrating to pass. Another one spun out repeatedly causing the controller to slow down the traffic repeatedly, which was a bit annoying. We had a lot of fun; but, the experience would depend on who the other drivers are.

You can imagine that every kid picked gatorade and was over-sugared and dehydrated. I asked for pitchers of water. The arcade is a room with about 10 games - only half of which work + all of which are filthy. They are very expensive. Our races started almost 30 minutes late. The smell hit me first: burning rubber mixed with ozone, a bouquet that spoke of countless battles fought on these very tracks. I approached the counter, signed the waiver with trembling hands. This was it. My initiation into the world of electric velocity. The safety briefing washed over me. Speed limits. Racing lines. Flags. But my mind was already elsewhere, imagining the perfect lap, the flawless execution of every turn. Then I saw it: the kart. Sleek. Silent. Deadly. I lowered myself into the molded seat, gripped the steering wheel. The moment my foot touched the accelerator, everything changed. The instant torque slammed me back into my seat! No engine roar, no warming up--just pure, unadulterated acceleration that felt like being shot from a cannon! The first corner approached rapidly. I braked--perhaps too hard--and felt the rear end slide ever so slightly. My pupils dilated. This was it. This was the dance. Turn two. I remembered the instructor's words. Brake early. Apex late. Accelerate through. My body moved on instinct, finding the rhythm, becoming one with the machine. By lap three, everything crystallized. The track revealed its secrets to me. That slight banking in corner four. The deceptive tightness of the chicane. Each revelation was a flavor explosion on my palate--bitter defeat transformed into sweet victory! Other racers surrounded me. I could feel their presence, their fighting spirit! We weaved through corners in formation, each seeking that perfect line, that extra tenth of a second. When I finally executed a flawless outside pass on the long straight, my entire body surged with electricity! The laps blurred together in a symphony of speed. Left, right, brake, accelerate--a recipe perfected through repetition, each iteration bringing me closer to nirvana. And then, too soon, the checkered flag. My final time flashed on the screen. I stumbled from the kart, legs shaking, heart racing, a massive grin splitting my face. The other racers gathered around the timing board, comparing battle scars and bragging rights. This wasn't just fun. This was transcendent. This was speed distilled to its purest essence, served at precisely the right temperature to ignite the soul! K1 Speed had delivered a five-star experience that left me hungry for more.

The biggest issue was a staff around the track --this (1) girl in particular appeared to be having too much fun slowing certain go-karts down with her red remote, imo. But I'll get back to that in a sec. We decided to eat first: Food was okay-- ordered pepperoni pizza (they almost left it in too long and some of the crust was burnt. Had to break those pieces off and eat around it) and Pepsi in a bottle. My bro got sliders, wings, tots and Pepsi. His food took a while so we couldn't really eat together. Ended up sharing my food while we waited for his to come out -- which was weird since we were the only ones there who had ordered anything. When his food finally arrived he ate some of it and threw the rest away --guess he wasn't impressed. He mentioned it was "decent". Now to the races: Multiple people came and bumped me trying to get past me --never saw her slow their go-carts down but she definitely slowed down me and my bro multiple times when we were the ones getting bumped continuously. It got to the point where I just purposely stayed the last racer just to try and enjoy the experience and made no attempts to move up the ranks. Idk what the men's restroom looked like but the women's restroom had lots of gnats! Paper towels overflowing from the discard. Important to note: For as many staff as they had lollygaging around near the track you would think the place would be spotless. There weren't a whole lot of customer so definitely some staff could've been putting in some time and effort to clean around the place. Ultimately: We paid for (3) races. Ended up only using (2) mutually agreeing it was time to get outta there. Leaving the 3rd race on our accounts for another visit that we will be using at ANOTHER LOCATION. Their own website clearly states to arrive at 6pm, with no mention of calling ahead, no reservation system, no waitlist. So that's exactly what we did. We arrived on time only to be turned away because the spots were already gone. Apparently there's an unwritten rule that regulars know to call ahead, information conveniently absent from their website. When we asked the general manager, Cameron, why this wasn't communicated anywhere publicly, her repeated response was essentially "we're popular", offered with the self-satisfaction of someone who sees no problem with the situation. No apology. No empathy. No acknowledgment that their website is actively misleading customers. Just a shrug and a reminder that this is "how you learn for next time." My son was in tears. What's most frustrating isn't the miscommunication, it's the attitude. A good manager finds a way to soften the blow, acknowledge the failure, and make a family feel heard. Cameron did none of that. When I pointed out that if calling ahead is policy, it should be stated publicly, she had no real answer, just more deflection about how popular they are. The main reason we came to this festival was for the go-karts. We arrived early for Valentine's Day to do something fun with our sons and were second in line. From the start, the process was confusing--waivers and payment were handled separately, and the waiver attendant wasn't able to answer our questions and redirected us to the payment rep, who was moving up and down the line asking about reservations. After watching three rounds of racers go ahead of us, we finally asked what was going on. That's when we learned that people with reservations are allowed to cut the line. Totally understandable--but this was never communicated to us. It would have helped immensely to know upfront that there's a reservation system with priority access, or to have a separate line for reserved guests. We weren't the only ones feeling confused. Once we asked, the rep kindly explained the situation, which we appreciated. However, she couldn't give us a clear estimate--just that it might be another 30 minutes... or more. It would have been very helpful to know all of this off top instead of being passed by multiple times. By that point, we had already been waiting an hour, believing we were second in line. The uncertainty was confusing and disappointing, especially for our kids. Ultimately, we decided to leave after losing over an hour, hoping and wondering what was happening. It was heartbreaking for our boys. I do want to say--the owner's energy was amazing. His excitement and passion are honestly what kept us waiting as long as we did. We love supporting small businesses, and that positive energy really matters. With clearer communication and better organization, this could be such a smoother and more enjoyable experience for everyone.
