They took my credit card information and said they would not charge until the job is complete. They charged it before ever even called me back to know when they could complete the job. I left seven messages and did not get one phone call back. I was trying to inform them that I found another repair person that fixed it. They're on site immediately and that what they were claiming to be wrong with the dryer was incorrect. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company as they did no work at all and have tried to bill me almost $800.

Our Kitchen Aid appliances are going on 15 years right now. (PRO TIP: Kitchen Aid is the "Lexus"…read moreof appliances in terms of quality and build. They never gave us any problems until now.) Up until 2019 we paid for annual service agreements via Sears in case anything happened them. But, with Sears' rickety lifeline, we decided to forego them for 2020 as who knows if they'll even be in business! Service agreements aren't cheap either, costing about $500 a year to cover five appliances. I figured it'd also be wise to not put in extra money to aging machinery as well. Of course after said service agreement stopped, something goes wrong. In this case it was our Kitchen Aid side-by-side refrigerator/freezer - the ice maker to be exact. While it still produced ice, the water to refill the ice tray was shooting out too strong so we had icicles and mini frozen waterfalls on the ice maker and shelves. Enter Kelly's Appliance Repair. EXPERIENCE: I remember my parents used him in the past, so I got his info through them. Phoned and left a voicemail in which he called back soon after. Our schedules weren't jiving that week but once we connected, it was all downhill from there. He came by to look at the problem then called back a few days later to schedule the repair. Turns out the part (name forgotten) that controls the amount of water being disbursed into the ice tray was the cause. The opening got too large from age which resulted in our unwanted Antarctic landscape. The part was changed and he said to watch it because if the problem re-occurs, we'll need a new ice maker. He didn't even leave us a bill as he charges after the problem is resolved. Who does that nowadays? OVERALL: He's the real deal. Honest, affordable, friendly, professional, local-style service. Highly recommended.

Scott, when you were at my house you were here less than 1 hour, cleaned the outdoor unit, added 1 LB of freon, and failed to look further into the real cause of the problem. (which I found myself at the air handling unit, torn open ducting) This was an easy fix and you did not take the time to even check it out or repair it! We talked about working on overtime rates due to the holiday and I said fine but when you add it up Scott it was unethical what you did, for LESS THAN 60 minutes of work. I was left to repair the real problem myself. Truck Driving Charge $26 Overtime labor 3@ $158= $474 R-22 Freon $43.63 TOTAL with tax=$566.28 WTF, charging people $158 for driving across island and then again for driving back. That's $316 in made up bullshit, a complete ripoff. Furthermore you told me the dryer needed to be replaced and would email me a quote to fix that and also a separate quote to replace my entire system which is old and due to replace soon. I was open to that but your quotes or bids never came, no follow up, no calls, nothing. I ended up following up with Angel at your office and she said you would call me back and you still didn't! What a shame. If you are looking for professional service, with timely follow up, at an ethical price, Scott's Cooling is not the choice. If you want to refund me some $ and make things right I can adjust this review but as of this moment I feel violated.

Weirdest thing ever. Last week I called MB Appliance to have someone fix my refrigerator. This is a…read morerecurring issue, and I'd had it fixed last year by someone I couldn't reach this time. These guys got someone out immediately, so I was very grateful. Mario was here within 30 minutes, and when he got here, he stood looking at the fridge (not even opening it) for several minutes before saying anything at all. Then he mentioned that he'd been out several times in the past for this same fridge (previous owner of the house) and had never figured out what was wrong. He took a couple of panels off, checked a few things, and said that he didn't know what to do, no charge for that day because he hadn't fixed anything, but call again Monday if the fridge didn't start cooling. Fifteen minutes after walking through our door he was gone. A few minutes after he left, another repair person returned my call from earlier, and came out an hour later. He took things apart, showed my husband what had happened so that when the issue arises again my husband can fix it, and charged a reasonable rate. Just now, the office of MB Appliance called me to ask where I wanted my invoice sent. I was confused, and asked what invoice. The woman said "For fixing the refrigerator." I explained what had happened, she said "Tell that to Mario," I said "Mario's the one who said there was no charge because he didn't do anything." Silence for a moment, then she said "Don't ever call us again!" and then hung up. Done.
