Pretty cool little pizza joint in the heart of Winder! We ordered a thin crust cheese pizza and salad ( balance ) lol. Service was great, pizza was pretty good. Definitely time for a deep cleaning, you can tell its a family restaurant, pizza sauce on the shutter blinds so the place was not as tidy as it could be, but the pizza bar was super neat & clean. read more

Should be NO STARS ... Ordered deluvery and received the wrong order. The Manager on Duty said "bring us the wrong one and we can fix it" - if I wanted to leave my house, I would not order delivery. The atmosphere is lively-to-loud with the prevailing tones of families and friends sharing a good time. The servers are never lackadaisical but hum about with welcoming smiles offering whatever service is requested. The food is fairly pedestrian but it is served hot and quickly. All in all this chain restaurant is a notch above other such establishments. I recommend it. read more

Pretty incredible salad bar with many fabulous dressings, the ranch in particular is outstanding. See my attached photos, crisp lettuce, pasta, salad, potato salad, diced ham, pudding, black & green olives, large crunchy croutons, the list goes on. Also big bonus they serve Coca Cola products. The manager told me as of August 2024, this is the last Mazzio's in Georgia, and they are known for their weekday lunch buffet. They also have the buffet Tuesday nights. The lunch "buffet" is not even as good as Stevie B's. Pizza was dried up and all thin crust. The veggies on the salad bar looked like they had been frozen and defrosted. The potato salad was dark yellow from being out and not touched so long. The best thing was the cheesy bread. The booths have tape on the seats and the servers act as if they would rather be anywhere else. The sports commentators on the TV were so loud on the TV by the bar it was overbearing. I'm really not sure how they have been open so long... perhaps we should have ordered off the menu rather than buffet. read more

To me, it's the best pizza in town. They also have the nicest crew. My kids love going here with their grandmother and we all love going after church. The server Tawana is a friendly face that we love to see! Fast, hot and delicious. Salad bar always looks fresh and clean, employees always refilling and cleaning. Our favorites are the Ken's supreme, cheese sticks and the toasted ravioli. We've also "built our own lasagna" numerous times. read more

We've been in Winder for years and never tried Mazzio's; I just didn't hear the best reviews about it. We finally went and we were overall very pleased with our experience! The pizza is really, really good! The dough is some of the best I've had. We got a stuffed crust pizza and it was just delicious. The cheesy breadsticks were great, too! And my toddler who is food picky ate nearly his entire kid's pizza. We actually had a really embarrassing situation where we didn't read further on the menu, ordered the toasted ravioli as an appetizer, and it had pork sausage in it - we can't eat pork, and we didn't know what to do. Our server noticed, and she was ultra understanding, and she gave us cheesy breadsticks instead. She was WONDERFUL, her name was Jill and I would go back just for her! The food was really really great, prices reasonable, and we are excited to go back to try different things, like the spicy sauce on the pizza. The only cons I would mention is that it's unfortunate that a lot of speciality items are loaded with ham or sausage and some you can't get it made without. I would have LOVED to try a calzone ring but each of the three options are made with pepperoni, sausage, or ham and we can't have that. Our problem, not theirs, but I'd love just a four cheese calzone ring Secondly, the interior isn't exactly the cleanest ever, but I didn't feel uncomfortable eating there, and when told there was a salad bar we were asked to use the hand sanitizer there first, which was reassuring. Just ok. The server attempted to come around a little, but not until I was leaving. The guy in the back, seemed to really be working hard, and was professional, and clean. I wanted to have a great experience when I walked in for a quick bite. The lady was just extremely short, and curt, and that was immediately a turn off. Food was great but horrible customer service. Husband goes there all the time with work but we did not know they did not do buffet on weekends. Husband went to get a slice pizza then get yelled by staff. We were under the impression it was buffet not someone else pizza. Then we heard repeatedly them talk about the issue to other employees and guest. We got our pizza and took it to go. Pizza was honestly one the best I have had. We ordered the combo with a large specialty pizza, boneless wings, and cheesy bread. The boneless wings were like Tyson popcorn chicken bites, but the sauce was good. After opening that box I was skeptical of what the quality of the pizza would be. We ordered the deep dish combo pizza that is basically a supreme pizza. I was pleasantly surprised!! This has been and still is my favorite pizza place ever. We have been coming here for about 30 years. They have the best salad dressing. I love to get the salad bar. The pizza will be made exactly how you asked for it. I like mine thin and crispy and it's always perfect. Their pan pizza is delicious as well. The wings are good size and taste great. When my son comes to town, he always wants to go eat there and he usually takes several pizzas home to freeze. I believe it is owned and operated by 2 or maybe 3 brothers and the waitress has worked there since she was a kid. I love the hometown atmosphere. read more

Post Covid I went with 5 others to dine and was getting leary based on past reviews but I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised... The salad was fresh, the chicken wings were well cooked, flavorful and crispy... The Italian sub was flavorful, the spaghetti was full of sauce and tasty... The Supreme pizza had plenty of meat and vegetables.... The chicken and bacon sub was well prepared and filling... All the guests were very pleased with the service and food quality... This is one of those "good 'ole boy" restaurants. The locals most likely love it. It's very inconsistent. Was good the first time we went and the 2nd & 3rd time was not good at all. Pizza was under cooked and then the next time was over cooked. They keep it absolutely freezing in there, so bring a thick coat. I love it cold, but we were so cold we went to the car and got blankets. We were miserably cold. Also, the booth's are very worn and need repairing. They are ripped and taped back together, the corner booth's are broken apart in 3 sections and we had to move so my son's foot didn't fall through the hole where the sections no longer fit together. read more

Food was literally microwaved. You could see the steam rising from the "fresh" food, but when bitten/cut into, was cold on the inside. Table was also greasy, and the blue cheese dip had cheese chunks so big, you could choke on them. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more
