We hired Mazzeo to tile 2 showers. Our initial impression was positive meeting with Aleks who promised it would be complete within a few months. It took 5 months and I needed to step in to GC the project managing the contractors. Communication was poor. Never inspected during the project and needed them to come back many times to finish. I would NEVER hire this company again. Terrible. She never hit any commitments that she made and came up with excuses when asked. My bathroom remodel took over a year to complete! Initially I was told there were supply issues (which may or may not have been legit), however 3 separate times in a 4 month period she had a "health issue" which caused her to not get back to me. Most recently when I contacted her to please finish the project she said she wasn't in the office and would respond the next day when she was in the office and could check the schedule. I waited 8 days to message her again and was told she had a tooth extraction. Really??????? Can't get back to me because of a tooth extraction????? And ironically, she was returning to work the next day and would send someone. As for the project, the bathroom itself was ok, however there was plumbing in the basement that extended below the ceiling and I was told this had to be. The plumbing from the old tub wasn't below the ceiling so why did the plumbing from the new tub have to be below the ceiling????????? Not only are they polite and professional, but they are kind people that really care about the projects they are working. My cleaning company has done a number of post-construction cleans at the completion of one of their renovation projects so I have seen the good work they are capable of first hand. Aleks looked at the project, ordered the door and scheduled the project. Aleks was very professional, reasonably priced, and communication throughout the project was very good. Inexperienced contractor on Cape Cod. After you provide your deposit the work never gets done. This company lied to me many times about showing up at my house. Even went as far to say there was a dumpster on-site when there never was. I have cameras on my property that confirmed every lie that was made. The work never got done and they refused to return my deposit. Don't waste your time or money with this contractor. read more
