Beware. If you use health insurance, you are in for an endless nightmare…read more The friendly local staff will give you an estimate based on your insurance plan. Then their New York office will send you a bill with grossly inflated prices that have no relation to the estimate. Try to complain and they will shove you down a rabbit hole of unreturned phone calls, disappearing employees (the name on the invoice is a person who does not seem to exist), faxes that never arrive. I filed a complaint with my insurer and they were caught redhanded but trust Lincare's system of obfuscation to keep me jumping through hoops for a resolution. Stay away. Stay far, far away. You've been warned.

I do not recommend this company in Champaign Illinois for your oxygen supplier. The products they…read moresupply are cheap and they will not give you what you need as required by Medicare. It took me over a year to get the oxygen tubing I require for my oxygen concentrator. It took a call from my Doctor to get this done. The water bottles they supply are the cheapest you can get and only last from 3 days to 3 weeks before the thin plastic cracks. I asked for better bottles but was told these were all they would get me. My oxygen concentrator was replaced 5 times in 9 months before they finally gave me a good one. I went over thanksgiving to north eastern Michigan for 5 days. Lincare in a suburb of Detroit supplied me with oxygen, a concentrator, the length and type of tubing I asked for as well as a good quality water bottle that lasted for over 3 months. The Michigan Lincare told me any Lincare can get these products but obviously the one in Champaign chooses not to. They did get me a better water bottle after I showed the delivery driver the model I got in Michigan but I have been trying for 2 weeks to get another with no luck. I don't have a regular delivery driver and the time varies from 10am until after 5pm and sometime they miss completely. I am the last stop on the route and I don't always get all the oxygen I need for the week as the "truck was full or not enough tanks were filled to meet my needs". I have checked with other Lincare locations and found none that were as incompetent as the one in Champaign. Others will make a real attempt to meet the needs of their customers. It is bad enough that I am going to die in the next few months. I should not have to spend that time arguing every week with an oxygen supplier. Tell your doctor to insist on a supplier that will furnish you with the products the doctor recommends and actually cares about the patient's needs.
