The problem is that is very stressful for us because we have had this appointment for months, I take a sick day from work, figure out babysitters and then get a call the night before telling me they haven't received payment. There is absolutely no reason they can't call me a week before so we have time to contact the insurance and have them reassure them once again they will in fact get paid. Absolutely ridiculous. We love Dr. Emm, but I think this time they went too far and we are going to a different doctor.

I've also seen Saxtena (sp?) and Lee. I prefer seeing Dr. Kolb when I can. She's there part-time, so I don't always get an appointment with her.

I always go early everywhere so I arrived about an hour early and take a book to keep me occupied. Less than 10 minutes after arriving I get called in for the appointment. When the doctor comes in and I thought it was a two way involvement between patient and doctor like she stated in her mission statement. I quickly was told to stop talking and let her share what she sees in my chart! A lot of misinterpretations occurred and when I tried to speak she told me to be quiet while she went over her findings. This went on for most of the appointment! The last item was my handicapped sticker renewal that need to be signed and dated by a doctor. I have a 3 year placard currently that is expiring in the next two months. She would only sign it for 6 months because I didn't have my cane with me. When I disputed her denial because I have a bad back and neuropathy in my feet and can't walk long distances and afraid I could fall which I don't want to do, she told me without any assistance seen OSF limited the approval to 6 months while she works to find solutions to make me better. Well, I am 71 and had this problem for several years and been an OSF patient all this time and it's only getting harder to get around for fear I will fall and hurt myself worse! So much for working with her patients as a team. I won't be going back! There was no respect or appreciation for a senior citizen who knows her body and OSF has not done much to make the situation better. I was not impressed and will be looking for another doctor! I know my body and needs better than a young doctor who is just meeting me for the first time!

Dr Arzon was the first doctor I took my son to when we moved to Illinois. I had to get him set up…read morewith a new primary care doctor and a health confirmation for daycare. I wasn't pleased during or after the visit. I felt like she wasn't listening and she was telling me generic information. My son was potty training at the time and was doing well. He said he needed to go potty a few times, and since he was newly trained (3 months shy of 3 years old wearing pull ups at night only) so I excused us and took him. He couldn't go. He asked again towards the end of the appointment and Dr Arzon told him that her and mommy were talking and he needed to wait. He ended up having an accident. While discussing his medical history, I mentioned that I had been diagnosed with melanoma while I was pregnant and that is a cancer that can cross through the placenta, she pushed her husband's practice for me. My son also had previously had an episode of giant hives (almost a year before this visit in another state) and I mentioned it. She "diagnosed" him with something because he had dry skin ... it was winter. I paid our normal copay, then a few weeks later I got a bill for another copay. Because we had talked about the hives, she billed as another appointment because it wasn't "just a check up." I challenged that and they said "oh, someone coded it wrong" even though the second code had to do with the hives we had talked about in his history. I was originally told that if you talk about anything other than the check up, she can charge separately. I had already scheduled his 3 year old check up, so I gave her a second chance. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt that the way she talked to me was just because she tells all new patients the same thing. She didn't listen to me then and treated me as if I didn't know how to parent my child. That was the last time we went to her. We have a new doctor now that we like so far. I did the standard medical release form. Today I received a letter from Dr Arzon that she will release his records as soon as I paid $41.00 for them. I told them they could keep the records and I would just have the records sent from our doctors in another state from before we moved.

Very disappointed by this doctor. He makes parents feel like idiots and never really listens to…read morepatients or their parents, too busy showing off his "knowledge". Never reads prior history even though we copied all medical records from the previous out of state provider. He really messed up and missed a critical situation with my son then refused to acknowledge error. Even refused the requested referral by me. Switched pediatricians immediately after that incident. One professional told me with that with my son's history he should have been referred to a specialist immediately, however, Dr. Trainor NEVER did. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR KIDS HEALTH NEEDS.
