The tostones, or crispy fried plantains, were light and crunchy. My favorite was the shrimp topping as the shrimp were perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. The conchitas a la parmesana was another interesting dish featuring seared scallops. I found that the sauce was a little overpowering and took away from the scallop itself, but I really enjoyed eating it with the ciabatta. Lastly, we ordered two empanadas: one chicken and one made with a mix of sirloin and tenderloin. The dough was a little too oily for my taste, but it was thin and flaky. The chicken and beef fillings had slightly different seasonings and textures, and both were enjoyable. If I could add one thing, I wish our server had explained more about the menu or drinks when she asked whether it was our first time there. She also wasn't around the table consistently, which made it a little difficult to order additional drinks and dishes. Other than that, we really enjoyed the meal, and I'm glad we came here.
