    Grilled Reuben

This was my second time at May Kelly's and it will definitely continue to be a regular stop whenever we are in North Conway! It is such a unique little place with great hospitality and delicious food! It's called May Kelly's Cottage for a reason because the moment you step in you feel like you're in someone's home and you're greeted by a friendly face. The decor is quirky and tables are spread around multiple different rooms. They also have a nice bar area and outdoor space. They have a great menu with both Irish and American classics. Lots of comforting dishes that would hit the spot after a busy day exploring, hiking, or skiing. I had the roast turkey dinner. It was fabulous and included an absolutely enormous portion of tender roasted turkey breast. The turkey gravy was light but still loaded with turkey flavor, and the sides were delicious as well. My husband had the Reuben sandwich with fries. The corned beef was cut in a thick slab and was super tender. The fries were thick cut with skin, and nice and crispy. I was way too full for dessert, but I did have a glass of their homemade Irish cream and it was delightful. Just the right amount of booziness, not too sweet with hints of espresso and chocolate. I highly recommend it! As with many of the restaurants in North Conway they can get very busy. Go at an off time if you don't want to wait, but it's definitely worth the wait!

    Kilkenny Cream Ale...yes !

Driven by this place many times usually in a rush to get home after some outdoors activities, fortunately today we had a bit more time to stop in. Great vibe inside and you could take awhile just to look around at the decorations etc. try to spot the stuffed owl. Draft beer! Yeah they have Kilkenny Irish cream ale - a rarer find and now another known purveyor ! Food was great, we shared a pear salad and the roasted turkey sandwich - enough food for a nice lunch. Service was also friendly and prompt.

I felt like good hardy food for our 44th anniversary and May Kerly's didn't disappoint! I made reservations, we were immediately seated and within 10 minutes we had our dinner! The turkey was so tender I did not need to use my knife. The stuffing was very well seasoned and when combined with some cranberry sauce, gravy and turkey was a perfect bite! My husband really enjoyed his chicken pot pie, especially the puff pastry crust. The decor was fun and interesting, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We will go back when in the area!

From the moment I walked into May Kelly's, I knew I was in for something special. The decor is unique and full of Irish character, every corner tells a story! The hostess was incredibly kind and welcoming, The food was delicious and authentic, must try Shepard's pie and corned beef dinner, the Guinness was poured to perfection, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were lucky enough to visit on a Sunday and enjoy live Irish music -- it truly felt like being in Ireland. An unforgettable experience!

We stopped at this wonderful restaurant before our long journey home. We hadn't seen such an interior in a tavern for a long time, even though we've traveled a lot. From the very beginning, it felt like we had stepped into a museum, and it was very interesting. The restaurant has a fireplace, which creates a festive and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant has a fireplace, which creates a festive and cozy atmosphere. The staff is very pleasant, and the bartender made perfect cocktails. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Amazing fish and chips!! Three nice sized servings, filling and plenty for extra! Coleslaw was also so yummy! Fries weren't my fav, but personal preference. Still would order again.

My Irish gal at one of May Kelly's high-tops

We happened to be "in the neighborhood" for this past St. Patrick's Day and wanted to enjoy the vibe at an Irish Pub if we could. Well, we and EVERYONE else with the same idea descended on May Kelly's (one of only two or three Irish Pubs in the area--and likely the most popular). Our strategy was to come in the middle of the day--after the early crowd and before the late crowd--but they were still slammed. We got extremely lucky and were able to be seated at a 2-person high-top in the bar area that someone had just vacated.  Of course, it was a bit chaotic--it was St. Paddy's Day--but the bartenders who cared for the small bar and the high-tops were attentive. After a discussion about what I like, the bartender/server recommended an Irish whisky, and we looked over the large menu. Given the holiday, we went full-on Irish: me a Traditional Irish Shepherd's Pie and her a Corned Beef & Cabbage. Both were very good.  Overall, it was a great experience, and while we may skip trying to do this again on St. Patrick's Day, we will be sure to pop into May Kelly's when we are in the area.

Loved the coziness and eclectic decor. Food was great but be warned the portions are gigantic. Definitely consider splitting at lunch. We stopped in for lunch while passing through so no way to take leftovers. Wish they had smaller lunch sized portions. (Ex:just one chicken breast with the Gaelic chicken meal instead of two.) Hated spending dinner prices and tossing half of our food. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She kept our glasses topped off and checked on us several times.

Definitely coming back here! This restaurant is pretty cool with all the vintage items inside, and I didn't see all of it. The atmosphere, service and food were excellent. I had the Fish N' Chips, excellent! My husband had the Harvey Gibson Sub, which is their black pastrami sandwich...that was amazing! Their fries are slightly seasoned and crispy - another yum! Coleslaw leans a little on the tart side, again, yum! Portion sizes are pretty good, so we felt you get your money's worth. We sat at a corner table and it was bench style with cushions and pillows, very comfy and cozy, and the view of the mountains outside our window, was gorgeous! Now comes dessert, if you have room....they are not on the menu, you ask your server. That night was only 3 to choose from, due to them getting ready to close for 10 days - this is every year, so everyone can relax and the place is ready for the busy season coming. She had me at Bailey's Cheesecake...the other 2 mentioned was a blurry sound - hahaha - anyways...that cheesecake was awesome!! If you're in the North Conway area looking for some good food, with gorgeous views, oh, they do have outside seating on their patio - check this place out!!

The food is awesome. We had the Irish sampler, French onion soup and shepherds pie. Excellent home cooked-feeling food. Great atmosphere, the deck has a beautiful view of the mountains.

One of the best Irish pubs I've ever been to with authentic Irish food and drinks. Very eclectic ambiance with decorations that ranged from antiques, to classic Guinness memorabilia, to a tribute to It's a Wonderful Life. Loved the seafood reuben I ordered and my wife had the corned beef and cabbage. Yummy. You can lose yourself for hours looking at all the art and memorabilia. Great service.

Came back w/friends & family - the Rueben was just fabulously delicious as I remembered - juicy slabs of meat - so generous! Split it & a salad w/my mom - the salad had fresh, rich & creamy goat cheese - 10/10 recommend!

This salad was so good that we got it to go the next day! For entrees we got the Texas Tornado sandwich (boneless chicken breast with bacon) and the Surf and Turf Burger. The chicken wasn't dry and the sweet potato fries ($2 upcharge) were good. For the surf and turf, I didn't feel like the lobster blended well with the burger so I took it off and ate it separately.
