Loaded Fries $14
Jenny C.

The location was okay, not the best. You have to pay to park. We went on a Saturday and there were plenty of street parking. The restaurant was pretty quiet during the day. We were there during the day, and it was slow. The food was not the great though... we order loaded fries, braised short ribs, and fried chicken and waffles. The loaded fries was not worth it. The toppings were lacking and it was just very soggy and not very f fries. The fried chicken was very dark and dried. The braised short ribs were not bad. A little tough but not bad either the flavor. The service was its redeeming factor though. We were upstairs for an event and were told there wouldn't be a server. If we were to order food, we would order it at the bar. However, the bartender(?) came around to the tables and took people's orders. We were in a big group, and he was patient with everyone.

Cool comfort food menu. Cozy feeling and really cool artwork throughout. Friendly fast service. The bartender was great asking if we wanted to sub a liquor we ordered for one that was on happy hour. House red for HH is ok. Not sure what it is. A bit vinegary Fried pickles - thick cut pickles. Good breading but overly breaded. Nice dipping sauce with slight tang to go well with pickle flavor. Deviled egg- lots of dill. Slight spicyness to it. Spices flavor overpowers all other flavors Wings- great buff flavor. Super crispy. Not too spicy. Tender checken Cheesesteak egg rolls- good flavor. Pretty greasy. Good crunch. Not a fan of the marinara sauce it comes with.

Solid place. Nice decor: exposed brick, tin roof, good Southern food. There's a rooftop patio on the second floor.

We ate here for our anniversary. This is one of our go to places for special occasions. The…read moreservice is always great. The server paid attention to us without being overbearing. The only caveat is that the dining area is small and can get loud. The meal came quick. We ordered a Caprese Salad which was great. The mozzerella tasted good and the tomatoes were red and fresh. The balsamic they used was also top rate. They split the order in 2 and served on separate plates which wa since so we wife and I did not argue about who got more. For the main cause, I had Poppy's Chicken which is always good. I like food a little spicy and this meets that bill. The sausage on top of the chicken is actually a little hot (spicy). Sometimes dishes like this do not have as much topping as I like. in this case it was perfect. Finally for dessert, we had the Barry callout chocolate cake. People in the US do not realize how good of chocolate Callout makes but you can taste it in the cake. The final good word is that this is a BYOB establishment, and we like that too because wine is always so overpriced. The bottom line is that we will continue coming here for special occasions. The food and atmosphere is great.

The balsamic that was drizzled on it was incredible. Bronzino came with broccoli and whipped potatoes. Delicious! Completed the meal with warm chocolate cake, fresh whipped cream with drizzled caramel, strawberries and nuts. Yum! The ambiance is relaxed.
