There was a pizza shop that smelled delicious in addition to the menus I shared in photos. There is also a basement where the flea market had vendors were set up. After the event tables were quickly cleaned for a post event concert. You do need to take a pretty long staircase to get down to the basement which I do not think is handicap accessible. There was very limited seating in the basement even at the bar. They have some unique specialty cocktails. If that's your thing I did not try any of the food so no feedback on that. I will add that the venue opted to allow food pantry donations in lieu of paying a fee to get in to make the event accessible to everyone. The venue also allowed multiple non profit LGBTQ+ and left learning political groups to have tables on a sliding scale to insure they could participate. I was told that the venue communication was fantastic if you're looking to host an event in the future. Parking is all pay by app but there is a lot behind the restaurant as well as street parking.

Went in there with my girlfriend for a price fix meal ... Nice enough looking place but once we…read moreordered our meal things went downhill. One of the items on the price fix menu was a salad. Only one entry for the salad. This salad had shrimp which I personally don't eat, so I asked that they give my shrimp to my girlfriend on her salad. When the salad came out, no shrimp. When I asked why she was not given my shrimp, the owner came to me and said that I ordered the vegetarian salad, not an option on the menu by the way. So I said well now I'd want my shrimp can you bring it to me and he said that's not what I ordered. So for the price of three shrimp, I already knew I would never go back there. $110 per person I think they can afford three shrimp. Food was okay, not stellar but we did leave hungry and for that price in Doylestown that shouldn't happen. Had one shot which was pretty expensive, would have drank more but after the shrimp incident we decided not to spend another dollar. I won't be returning. They don't seem to understand customer service at this restaurant. If you do decide to go in the future, make sure you're careful about any live entertainment. We were under the impression that we would be able to stay for the show that was happening at 6:30 but since we had an early reservation we were told we could not stay. When we made the reservation there was an option to check that we wanted to attend this and we were able to make that check on the software. Bottom line we spend our Valentine's Day angry about shrimp and disappointed we couldn't see a show we were expecting.

String beans, not my favorite vegetable, were delicious -- crisp and very garlicky. The menu says 'almondine' but I don't think they were. The beet puree is a nice aesthetic touch, albeit lacking distinct flavor. T went with the restaurant's spin on pot pie. The filling (roast chicken, carrots, onions, peas, celery and potatoes) was excellent. The pastry topping, somewhat brittle. We chose the Hattery because I had one thing in mind: al fresco dining. There are maybe five tables on the patio out front. The restaurant was formerly a hat factory (no surprise), cigar shop, shoe store and speakeasy during prohibition. It's located on the first floor of the historic Doylestown Inn, which is still in operation. (Note my photo of the lobby.) The Hattery's menu isn't extensive, but I think they cover most bases. It's worth a look if you happen to be downtown. But don't order a margarita if it's some kind of fruit concoction. We both gave it thumbs down.
