Yes, but watch out for the drinking glasses. They are plastic plus have chips in them Today w my breakfast order. I had glass of water which had a chip on the edge of the drinking side and also my ice coffee glass had a bigger chip on that one too. Brought it to the waitress attention. and their comment was if we get off rid of all the chip glasses they won't have any drinking glasses. I think this place does a good enough business to effort new drinking glasses. Not only are they chipped. they were scratched, and they look like they are dirty. otherwise from that food is great. Return today August 22, I had the croissant with egg whites, sausage, and Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato. It was delicious and they have new glasses. I'm so happy five stars now. read more

Had a great unplanned lunch with a friend and my first time at Max's Table. Very busy place! Friendly and efficient staff with a great breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. It was tough to decide on breakfast or lunch but once we decided to have a beer we opted for lunch. I had the patty melt and it was cooked as requested, medium rare. Sautéed mushrooms, carmelized onions with cheddar and swiss on marble rye bread. Very juicy and messy which is what I expected. The horseradish sauce was a wonderful addition to the patty melt. My friend had the BLTA sandwich, which she gets almost every time she goes to Max's Table. Great place and cannot wait to go back! read more

For my past many wonderful and tasty breakfasts and lunches at Max's Table my rating would be all 5's across the board. But today, Thursday January 9th, the opposite. Although past 1pm, I decided to order the brioche French toast. I was familiar with the same at First Watch. Disappointment reigned supreme once I received my order. First there were only 4 very small and very thin half slces..Second both sides were blackened from being over cooked ( though covered with powdered sugar), and lastly it was as tough as leather ... hard to slice. our server never approached us to as if we needed anything. The next time we saw our server was when she presented us with our bills. I mentioned my concerns to her at that time, and said she would mention it to ? and went off with my credit card. BEST RATED RESTAURANT IN THE AREA???Drove past this place multiple times and it looked busy every single pass. Went on Yelp and it turned out to be the highest rated place in area. We decided we had to try it. Went in during peak breakfast hours and it seemed busy. The wait turned out to only be 20 minutes. There was no waiting area so be ready to stand outside. They do not take down a phone number so you actually have to be close by. Once sat, our server welcomed us and brought us water. She was attentive and informative. When they kitchen got backed up she let us know. She made a few recommendations (Benedicts and Waffle with crème) and even though I did not order the items directly, I did indirectly. I ordered the Kitchen combo with a waffle, poached eggs, bacon, a side of hollandaise and an English muffin. Also tried Max's Biscuit. The best part of this experience was that this place knows how to properly cook an egg. I got perfectly cooked easy poached eggs. It is surprisingly hard to find a breakfast place that can cook an egg correctly. The food itself was good but not unique or out of this world tasty. The Max's biscuit was pretty bland. Overall, this place is a good breakfast option. The menu does not have any other than ordinary breakfast items but they can actually cook it right. We've been coming to Max's Table for several years now. A great spot for a brunch or lunch date complete with drinks (usually mimosas for us). It's not a huge restaurant but the food comes out fast, the staff is always friendly, and you never have to wait for a long. There's a nice breeze off of the water sitting outside but you can grab a table or booth inside too. The menu has a great selection from eggs, sandwiches, and several salads. The kitchen is always willing to mix and match things and everyone's very easy-going. Highly recommend! read more

It's funny how a frustrating mistake can turn into a wonderful experience . . . I got up at 6:20 AM (a bit early for me) so that I could wash my car and head to SRQ Cars and Coffee in south Sarasota. Upon arriving at the location, I quickly realized that I must have gotten the date wrong since I was the only one there (that and I checked online and it's next weekend). I decided to treat myself and Yelped my breakfast options. While Max's was 6 mi out of my way, the reviews made it sound like it might be worth while (spoiler alert, it was).  The menu has so many great options that I decided to fall back into my bad habit of ordering multiple things on my first visit. I was helped by an outstanding server named Tamara who was nice enough to make sure that I knew how much food I was ordering. Sure enough, two large plates arrived which were overflowing with homemade corned beef hash, perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, home fries and 2 huge chocolate chip pancakes. Yes, I had ordered enough for 3 normal people. LOL.  Everything was outstanding. The cc pancakes were absolutely perfect. They were nicely browned yet soft as cotton with loads of chocolate chips and a big dolop of butter in the middle. The home fries were thinly sliced whole potatoes that were crispy brown on one side and soft on the other. The corned beef hash was shredded corned beef with diced potatoes and caramelized onions. Fantastic !   Not only was Tamara great but everyone I encountered who worked there had the friendliest demeanor. For those who are dog lovers (count me in), this place is perfect. There are approx 10 outside tables where dogs are happily welcomed (there were 3 dogs there during my visit). Great food and happy puppies, what a perfect combo. I haven't tried the lunch menu yet but I'm told they are usually full right up to they're 2:30 PM closing time. While Max's is definitely outside of my normal travel routes, I can guarantee you that I will be coming back whenever I am nearby. Anyone who doesn't like their food needs to have they're taste buds examined. read more

Make sure you they and get whatever special they have. Im always going for the specials. They are unique and very tasty. I wish we had one closer to Lakewood Ranch. Everything is good at this place. We were a total of 5 people. Everyone finished the plate. We had eggs and pancakes, Eggs Benedict, Avocado toast and a breakfast sandwich. Nothing was left on the plate. I'm big fan of IHOP pancakes but these were really good. The hollandaise sauce was the best I ever had. I can't say enough about this place. The keys to a good omelet - not too dry and full of fresh ingredients. And they nail it here! Our table had three different omelets and each were so full of deliciousness. I can't say anything was "special" per say about them, but they were so dang good and prepared so well. The cheesy grits and biscuit were also favs of our table, and I was impressed with my side of fruit that contained all types of fruit.
