    Chicken Kiev

Usually come for dinner but decided to try dinner. I felt very rushed and like the waitress was hoping we would finish up so they can close. We got there 1 hour before they officially closed. It was a very uncomfortable feeling. She was doing the same to the other 2 tables that came in also. As for the food. I tried the Chicken kiev. It was good and tasted like what I make at home, but they put a gravy on top. I didn't think the gravy was necessary. The side of vegetables were soft like they were sitting for a long time. I think I will stick to going to breakfast only. They is what they do really good.

We love Maxfield's! My husband used to bring me here when we first started dating and even though we now live in Michigan it's the first place we come when we're back in Schaumburg. Dimitri (the owner) and his staff are so welcoming; the waitresses fantastic, and the busboys do a great job keeping the place clean. We love it here! Highly recommend the country fried steak, pancakes, or corned beef hash. But really, any breakfast item we've ever held has been fantastic.

I went to Maxfield's on a Sunday morning with my family! It's a classic, old-school, low-maintenance breakfast joint with cheap but tasty breakfast items. This place was POPPIN on a Sunday morning (prime time for breakfast restaurants) but it's a spacious place (also with lots of parking) so we got seated immediately. Our server was a nice older lady - the service here was wonderful. Everyone was so sweet and our waters were constantly filled! We all basically got omelettes - I got the chicken, tomato, mushroom and broccoli omelette, my mom got the vegetarian omelette, my dad got the corned beef hash omelette, and my sister got breakfast quesadillas. Our meals were good - nothing extraordinary but that's usually how it is at old-school diners/breakfast joints, ya know? It was still yummy enough for me to come back!! I also got a Cafe Vanilla coffee which was soooo good. Overall I had a good experience here and would come back!

Every once in a while you come across a place that feels like an extension of your family and home. For us, it's Maxfield's restaurant in Schaumburg. Upon finding out that Maxfield's is back open for takeout or delivery, I had to order the breakfast we've been missing for weeks. Dining here in the past, the service has always been super fast and served up exactly how we've ordered it, by friendly and attentive servers. My coffee cup (and heart) was always kept warm while eating at Maxfield's. And the owners and hosts are so caring no matter how busy it gets. They always make time to greet you and thank you on your way out the door. Today, I was greeted so warmly and thanked for being a customer. Both the woman who helped me and I were tearing up as I shared what Maxfield's means to me and the memories of meals shared with dear family and friends here. The quiet morning conversations, summer celebration meals, carnations on Mother's Day and so on. Maxfield's, thank you for being an anchor in our community and for providing delicious home-like food and a comforting place to visit. Thanks for opening and providing food in a safe way. See you again soon. #ThankfulThursday

The ice pistachio matcha was recommended and new by the cashier. He was right! He mentioned how he puts 1 pump instead of 3 and there was a very very small amount of sweetness. If u don't want sweet, do 1 pump. The topping and foam adds some sweetness. Small/regular size was a perfect amount. I paid about $20 for 4 pastries and a regular drink. Very disappointing experience at Tous Les Jours today…read more The service was extremely rude. The cashier (long black hair) she had an unfriendly attitude from the start--no greeting, no smile, and it felt like she was already irritated. What made it worse was how both the cashier and the owner spoke to me. They raised their voices instead of helping. There was a promotion for 3 bakery items for $5. I accidentally selected 7 items instead of 6, and I clearly told them multiple times that I only wanted 6 and did NOT want the extra item. Instead of fixing a simple mistake calmly, they kept raising their tone at me, which was unnecessary and uncomfortable. As a customer, I expect basic respect and professionalism. This situation could have been handled politely in seconds, but instead it turned into a negative experience. I won't be returning, and I hope management seriously works on customer service.

However, I'd join when you are 10 minutes away as sometimes the line goes quick and you get passed. After we are called for our seats, we wait in a small line as they prep the table. After we were seated, the staff quickly gave us water as we looked over the menu. I was not in the mood for a fancy breakfast so I went traditional, Two Eggs over medium, veggie patties (homemade), hash browns and pancakes with decaffeinated coffee with honey. The food came in a nice time, not too long and not too quick- enough to have a nice conversation while waiting. When the food came, everything was cooked to perfection. The eggs over medium, the hash browns were cooked and had that bit of crunch from the skillet. Pancakes were a nice size. And the veggie patties were tasty! The coffee with just honey hit the spot. It appears everyone else really liked their food as it was pretty quiet. Lol. I enjoy this place especially bringing family and friends from out of town. Good times and great memories.

When a company prioritizes short-term labor cost cuts over employee retention, it creates an illusion of profitability that eventually shatters. The high cost of constant turnover - including recruitment, onboarding, and the hidden cost of lost sales from slow service - directly eats into margins.
