First, come hungry. No skimping on portions here. But it's to the point of way too much. First visit we ordered fish and chips served on a mountain of fries. Literally. Enough for three people. The fish is cut into four or five pieces. Some pieces were delicious. Some pieces seemed to have been leftovers from last night. The next visit we tried the Mac and cheese with pulled pork. It was good, not great. The pork was mixed in and I would have preferred it as a topping. It's nice if you're staying at the hotel I guess.

Like, what were they thinking? Only about a third of the tables were filled - bad sign for a Halloween "Party". The worst thing, this is the second year they've booked the same act. I won't use the singer's name because she's very good, just the totally wrong venue for Halloween. However, the booking agency is "Bad Monkey", and they messed up big time. Tonight should have been a packed out party crowd, and it was kinda tragic. The singers were very good, just totally inappropriate for the day (Halloween!).

Great place to unwind and relax with a good companion. the check-in process was kinda slow,…read moreconsidering that we were the only people there. You're asked to arrive 30 minutes early, and we sat around the entire 30 minutes, then finally they walked us through the how-to of it all. the staff is really friendly and the place is clean and well appointed. it was a nice experience, but very indulgent. i don't believe the price is worth it, esp at $1/ounce on the beer & the 90-minute time limit in the room, when one wants to bounce around from sauna to cold shower to hot tub (not necessarily in that order), etc. plus time for dressing and undressing. the anti-gravity massage chairs are also an extra add-on, which i find a bit extreme. overall, we enjoyed ourselves and disappearing from the outside world was rather nice, but it's definitely a one-off, or an annual experience at best. Checking out was equally slow. The host was giving a lady a demonstration on the beer bar and he could have kindly asked to be excused to check us out, but instead he let us sit for over 15 minutes as he gave the gal samples.

They greeted us as we walked in the door to the spa, and immediately ushered us to check in, grab a beer, and wait for our room. The individual suite was very private and extremely relaxing - both the sauna as well as the infused GF beer bath were exactly the medicine the doctor ordered that day. We also had a very nice server and each time we needed something, they were quick to take care of us. Most of the experience was great. There were two things that we would change if we went back though. There was a bit of confusion for us when it came to the time frame for the private suite and next steps after our 90 minute time frame was up. No one came to grab us and we had to find someone to ask about next steps. Just a little bit confusing given how step by step the beginning of the experience was. The other thing we probably won't do again was the zero gravity massages. The ambiance of the room was great - but even on the lowest pressure, it hurt a bit and was a little uncomfortable instead of relaxing. If you like a tougher massage, then this is for you, but otherwise I would schedule with caution! Overall a good experience, and we appreciate the hospitality they showed us while we were there! Would recommend!

Me and The Hubs had a 'date night' here a few weeks ago one night mid-week. The night we went,…read morethey weren't very busy and plenty of tables were available both inside and on their beautiful patio. We started with indoor seating since we both thought it was a little too warm outside, but the a/c was blowing super hard on our heads and we moved outside. That turned out to be a great move! Their patio is so inviting - so many pots and hanging baskets of flowers! AND it turned out not to be too warm so we were very happy. We both ordered beers (duh) to start and an order of the Crispy Fried Brussel Sprouts (deep fried and drizzled with a balsamic vinegar glaze). These days every restaurant seems to feel the need to have B sprouts on their menu. Some are really good. Some just aren't. These were the really good ones as far as I'm concerned - they were just sprouts perfectly crispy fried and with none of the stuff I don't want (ie no bacon, cheese, croutons, etc). And the amount served was very generous! Delish! I already knew what I wanted before we arrived - FRIED CHICKEN! I've had this restaurant bookmarked for quite a while mostly to try this chicken. I was not disappointed! It was so so good - super crispy, not greasy, not too salty, moist. Needless to say, I managed to eat all of it myself (minus the SMALL piece I cut off for The Hubs to taste). It came with two blueberry cornbread muffins and some slaw (I also ordered a side of steamed broccoli). The Hubs ordered a burger (I think it was the burger of the week) with slaw. Both of us really enjoyed the food. I can't say enough about their patio. Beautiful! The day we went, it was practically empty so it was pretty quiet and pleasant. I did mention to our server when we were sitting indoors (and noticed it was barely audible outdoors) that some music would be nice, though. Maybe they don't notice when they're working that it's off, but any night (and especially a quiet night) there needs to be music for ambience and so people that are dining feel comfortable talking. I REALLY hate sitting in a restaurant that sounds dead... Anyway, rant over. Our server was great. The restaurant (including the restroom) was clean. Will definitely return.
