Dr. Walsh and his team are the best. Kind, considerate, and experts in the field---we won't go anywhere else!

I've been here once before about 2-3 years ago. I'm POSITIVE they were NOT as inept as today. I…read morearrived about 30 minutes early for my appt. I give Linda my ID and medical card. She asks for my referral. I'm thinking my eye dr's referral. She says no I need a global referral. Mind you I scheduled this appt over a week ago. So i should have been told this. I thought it was covered under my vision insurance. Linda says, "Well you didn't talk to me so I don't know." I respond with "I don't work here. So if no one tells me to get a global referral, why would I know?" She repeats that it's not her fault. She tells me the biller says my options are: 1. To wait until 9am and call my Primary for a referral. 2. Pay out of pocket $340 and get reimbursed once the referral is received. 3. Reschedule 1. I could have wasted my time sitting 45 minutes for my Primary Dr to open. Then ask them to rush a referral over when they require 24-48 hours notice. But why reward this office for ineptness??? 2. I could have paid the $340 on my AMEX, and wait for this inept office to reimburse me. I mean if you can't inform a patient to bring a Global Referral for an appt, why would I subject myself to possibly being out of $340. 3. Reschedule with them? Nope b/c if everything I've stated. Linda was unapologetic. But, she wanted to take scans of my ID and insurance card! No way!!! Both her, the receptionist she said I spoke to and the biller should be FIRED. Dr Zuckerman has a plaque for being a Dr of excellence. Too bad his staff doesn't follow his example. They ABSOLUTELY WASTED MY TIME! I'll have to now find someone else.

After speaking with the receptionist, I was amazed to receive a call back within 15 minutes from Dr. West, the specialist on call. She was incredibly kind, thorough, and compassionate. After listening to my symptoms, she made the decision to bring me in for an exam within two hours as we live two hours away. Despite her already full schedule, she fit me in and performed a careful, detailed examination. I couldn't be more grateful. Dr. West went above and beyond when she didn't have to, and she also made sure I was scheduled for a follow-up to continue monitoring things. Her care and professionalism gave me peace of mind during a very stressful time. I'm truly thankful.

Wife had service here in June, they contacted us in OCTOBER that there was an issue with the…read morebilling. Any time you wait to resolve billing issues after 6 months, it becomes very difficult to work with insurance companies and I'm sure they knew that... so they gave themselves 1 month to figure this out. Whatever they asked for (pre-authorization from my wife's PCP) we gave them but they still had an issue because apparently they didn't get what they needed. After I called to try and resolve this matter (and their mistake on extending this timeline so long), whoever I spoke to was super rude and condescending as if I was in the wrong.. "Well did you call back to make sure we received the referral?!" No I didn't, I don't work for you. If they had an issue, don't wait 5 months before saying something. I don't recommend anyone coming here. Super expensive anyways and they have horrible customer service... any other company would admit fault and write off the (less than) $200 fees they were trying to collect. Their doctors are fine, can't really say anything bad about the care. But then if you need contacts or glasses just be ready to pay $$$$ or go elsewhere anyways.

My issues are with Clarkson's "Eye Care Partners Central Billing"…read more - Overcharged for daughter's contact lens fitting ($142.80 should have been $60 copay), - 2 months later (after multiple calls and confirming with insurance that no claim had yet been filed): "Please wait a few more weeks for processing" - I've already waited 2 months (after we were overcharged in the first place). Extremely frustrated. - Also fun that my solution: "refund me the overcharge, and then YOU wait 30-45 days." was somehow "not possible" Our location in Novi, MI was previously Town and Country, never had an issue in the past, optometrists are nice to work with, too bad the corporation behind them sucks.
