Damaged my piano on delivery. Was very rude as well. I would not recommend this company to move your piano

Great service! We purchased a used piano and were debating on moving the piano ourselves or hiring professionals. We did a few exploratory calls to compare prices and see what's available and so glad we landed on Max Piano Moving! Responded quickly and reasonably priced. Called over the holiday weekend, left a message, received a prompt call back, and got on the schedule within the week. Funny enough, we didn't realize that the family we bought the family from also used Max Piano for moving their piano! Received a text when they were headed over for pickup (pleasantly ahead of schedule), another update when they were on their way over, and they were in and out within minutes. Contactless payment and we really appreciated them wearing masks too. Such an easy process from start to finish! read more

Looked into moving companies for a baby grand piano we bought from a private seller. Max Piano moving had stellar reviews and this will be another. They were the most responsive of the companies I called, they were professional, on time, respectful, communicative, and did their job without any issues at all. I can't say a single negative thing about my experience with them. Highly recommend! read more

Jim with Max Piano Moving is awesome. He responded very quickly to my request for a quote, and after I responded back, the piano was moved within a couple of days. The piano was almost 100 years old (and very sentimental to me) and I was donating it to a family with children that were learning to play. He and his assistant showed their experience by taking great care and being very thorough. Jim was very patient with me and my sentimentality as well as when I gave him the wrong address and he had to call back to get the correct one. His prices were on par, and I would recommend to anyone that has a piano moving need. - Julia W. Phoenix read more

Max Piano Moving - My mom's 1927 Camp & Co piano. - Piano Services Near Me

AmaZing. I called on Friday afternoon (June 6, 2020) and was on the schedule for the next day. They arrived on time and had my piano wrapped up snug as a big in a rug before I could turn around to mention it might be difficult to maneuver it through the room it was in. They arrived at my new house, and again, a perfect transition to the awaiting spot. It is obvious they've moved many a piano. There was no dinking around. Absolutely would recommend!! read more

Definitely recommend! They made moving our piano so quick and easy! Responded right away, scheduling was simple and they had the piano moved into our house in 10 minutes. Very impressed! read more

These guys were fantastic! Quick, efficient, and professional. They were recommended by my daughter's piano teacher and they did not disappoint! They called me to confirm that they were on their way and promptly came and delivered our piano. read more

Coordinated a pickup through a third party. Reliable, easy, and smooth! Hands down would recommend them again.

I called this company and they responded immediately. Jim was very accommodating on working with the Seller's schedule to pick up the piano. He delivered earlier than expected. He gave me a lot of information about my instrument - more so, than the person I hired for the appraisal in many ways. He was professional, personable and even offered to place the piano in several places throughout the house in order to pick the perfect spot. I'd never use another company. read more

We recently hired Max Piano to move an old upright piano for us. At over 100 years old, weighing in at over 600 pounds, and being VERY top-heavy, I was a bit hesitant to do it myself. Sure - I thought about renting a dolly and trailer, and getting a few friends to help, but there would be no guarantee of us getting it moved un-damaged. I phoned Jim, and he was very friendly. He answered all of my questions, and addressed all of my concerns. Jim was able to set up a move day and time within a few short minutes. His communication with me was superb - he even sent me a text message when he was on his way the day of the move. The guys were right on time - not a minute late! Jim and another gentleman (apologies for forgetting his name), moved the piano into their truck so quickly, that I was in complete shock! They made it look easy! A short drive later, and the piano was in our home, safe and sound. No problems, no worries, no hassle! If you have a piano to move, I urge you to use Max Piano. DO NOT do it yourself - it is not worth the hassle, headache, and stress. These guys are pros, and know what they are doing! Max piano is money well spent! Thanks, guys! read more

I called Jim with a next-day move request and he was able to quickly work me into the schedule for the next morning, which I very much appreciate! He said that he would show up to move the piano the next day in the morning and that he did -- right on time and with a smile on his face! Jim's quoted price was a bit lower than others I've used to move pianos in the past. He was professional, his communication was excellent, and he took very good care of my antique piano. I'll call Max Piano Moving every time for my future moving needs. Thanks Jim! read more

I called several companies to see about moving a piano from storage to my home, the quotes that came back seemed overpriced. I did a search and found Max Piano Moving. He gave me a reasonable and fair quote and was available within the next day to move! He was super responsive to my questions and texted me when he was on his way to my home. He unloaded both bench and piano in 15 minutes while patiently navigating around my small children (I did my best to keep them out of the way...). These guys are great! Needed my baby grand moved into the garage while we had new flooring installed, then moved back into the house. They came out on really short notice and when they brought the piano back in I wasn't sure exactly where I wanted it and they humored me while I tried out a few different options. Super friendly, efficient and professional. I will definitely use Max Piano Movers anytime I need my piano moved! read more

Jim showed up with a huge smile and a "sorry for intruding" attitude when he came by to move the 1912 Lyon & Healy piano I restored. Shared custody means it bounces back and forth from house to house... long story. Jim has a great spirit and makes you feel like everything is going to work out fine. I've never worry about the condition of the piano, I know he'll take great care of this antique. Plus, I rebuilt it, I know how bullet-proof furniture made from that era is. Now if I could protect my emotions so securely with the loss... Thanks Max Piano moving read more

I've had Jim move my piano twice now. He's friendly, good natured, highly competent, and timely. He put the piano exactly where I wanted it quickly and with a minimum of fuss. My husband and I just bought our first home and my mom was anxious to get my upright piano out of her house and into my own :) She'd gotten a good word-of-mouth review on these guys from someone at work and set up the delivery. They whisked in and out of her house in minutes and were at my house minutes after that. We moved the piano from the main floor in her home to the main floor in my home so it was pretty straight forward. We both thought they were extremely professional, focused, and quick, as well as reasonably priced. They treated my precious piano with care and also took care to ensure that the door, door jamb, floor and furniture were undisturbed during the move. I would happily recommend Max Piano Moving! read more

I would recommend him and his company to anybody who needs to move piano. His company affordable and very helpful. read more

Just used Max Piano Moving for the 2nd time this year. We have a 6' grand and in April we sold our old house and moved out of town for the summer. We sent the piano to my son's house while we were gone. We have recently bought another house and called Jim to bring the piano from my son's place to our new home. Both time's Jim and his moving partner did a great job. They wrapped the piano and carefully moved it out of one house and into another. They have a truck specially equipped for Piano and organ moving so they are very efficient and know exactly what they are doing. You can always tell two piano movers that have worked together for some time because they don't have to say anything to each other to get the job done. A nod or a grunt says it all. Jim is a real personable guy - courteous and easy to deal with. He is punctual and utterly reliable. These guys are my piano movers from here on out. read more

Jim did a wonderful job moving our piano. He was prompt, efficient, and I knew my piano was safe in his hands. I recommend!

As a piano technician I have seen what happens when a piano is not moved professionally. The average furniture mover DOES NOT know what is involved with carefully moving a piano. you have no idea how hard it is to find Whitworth bolts until the movers lose the bolts that hold your legs together. Whenever anyone asks me for recommendations on piano movers without a doubt or hesitation I always recommend Jim at Max Piano moving. On time. Efficient and safe. The peace of mind knowing your piano is is good hands is priceless. if you need a piano moved, look no further. read more

Greg is Amazing! He worked us into his schedule quickly and his communication was prompt and clear! He made moving piano's (even my Mom's antique player piano) look like a piece of cake (and at an extremely reasonable price!). He even played with our three boys and they didn't want him to leave! They won't soon forget Greg's kindness and neither will we! I highly recommend their service!!!! read more

I recently hauled my Mother's 1967 Baldwin baby grand to Phoenix from the East Coast. I had a crew from North American Van Lines load it for me- and they managed to chip the ebony finish on the top...When it came time to offload here I called Max Piano a few days ahead. I had some logistic problems- truck broke down outside of Flagstaff- and was delayed a bit. Jim was able to fit me into his busy Saturday with just a few hours notice. My pianist daughter had many questions while Jim was setting up her piano, and was very patient. He even recommended an excellent tuner nearby. I highly recommend Max Piano! read more

We heard about Jim through Stilwell Pianos (see http://www.yelp.com/biz/stilwell-pianos-tempe) and he moved our piano from Mesa to Phoenix last October. I was so impressed with his punctuality, professionalism and friendly personality. He picked up the piano from a residence in Mesa, brought it to Phoenix and placed it carefully in our home ensuring it was exactly where I wanted it to be. His pricing was very reasonable and I believe a piano is something that should be moved by a specialist -- spend the extra money and hire someone who knows about pianos! Thanks, Jim! read more
