From start to finish everything was perfect in completing the move of our Mason and Hamlin grand piano from storage to our home in Scottsdale. Sherrie (or Sherry) is the owner, manager and the one that will be on the phone with you within a couple of seconds when you call. Communication is accurate with no surprises. Sherrie's "boys" Mike and Michael (her husband and son) are the movers and they know what they are doing, do it efficiently and right on time. Oh, and they charged much less than the movers in Wisconsin who just packaged it and moved from it from the first floor to our rental truck. We were actually quite happy with them, by the way. read more

Mr father's piano had been moved to Arizona on placed on edge in the garage. Yikes. The staff carefully moved the piano into the house. It is working great. Thanks again for your patience with the project. read more

Great people, cool physical store, but false advertising. They have reviews on their website that state they are the best movers for stairs. They actually have a whole page talking about how stairs separate the boys from the men in the moving industry. In reality they won't even touch a move that involves stairs. When I called they said it was "too much for them to get into." read more

We have an old upright piano and have moved it locally several times with Safe & Sound over the past 7 years. The quoted price was the same all 3 times, until today. The truck's company name is different and the guy took one look at it and said, it's going to be more. We were quoted $169.00, which is what the website says and that is what we paid each time before. The piano did not get heavier or bigger. Piano is on the truck and it is suddenly $229.00. We appreciate the work that moving a piano is, but that's a big difference in the blink of an eye. We arranged with Safe & Sound for one price and My First Piano movers showed up for a much higher price. *The piano is on it's way to our house, so if this changes, I'll update. Edited to add: It was 229. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! After securing a deal to purchase my piano, they set up a time and date. They call themselves professional piano movers, which I just accepted. I've seen true professionals use a crane to get a concert grand into a penthouse. Those are professionals. These kids can't even move an upright down one flight of stairs. They failed to tell me of their limitations and I had counted on having this piano out of my residence in time for my move. They should have, knowing that they are limited in terms of what they can do, asked if we had stairs and told us at the time that we were scheduling that they could not do stairs. Right? Do you think they did? Nope. They just informed me several hours after they were supposed to have picked it up that, "sorry, we can't purchase your piano because you have stairs and our movers can't move pianos up or down stairs." If you want a piano delivered safely, if you want a mover who is professional - meaning he has the experience to move any instrument through any type of home, stairs, etc - who doesn't charge an arm and a leg - and who WILL TELL YOU IF HE CAN'T DO IT BEFORE HE MAKES AN AGREEMENT WITH YOU - Mike is the mover I used to get my piano upstairs and he had no problem at all. Would have called him the second time but I am selling the instrument and My First Piano offered to buy it. Note: They said they couldn't buy it - after telling me that they would, in writing!! The reason? Their inept movers can't do stairs. Sheesh. Call Mike - he will treat you fairly and he'll be upfront with you. Don't find yourself in a terrible bind as I am right now, because this company is a quantity over quality type moving company. read more

I did not use them. But I wanted other people to know that they do NOT do stairs. They said they do a few steps. But they do NOT do stairs. If you have stairs don't waste your time here. read more

Awesome!! Can't beat the price and they are very kind. I bought a baby grand on marketplace and when Safe and Sound went to transport it from the sellers they found the legs were glued to the piano and they still found a way to get my piano to me!! I would definitely recommend them!! read more

The family antique upright finally went back to the sibling who inherited it... hooray!! It had been moved once by hubby & nephew and another time by regular movers, and soooooooo wish we'd used this service for both those moves!! The crew (JR & Luke) arrived on time and with a call ahead so it was easy to get the dog and two cats put away to keep them out from under foot! Their efficiency and professionalism was nothing short of amazing, having this piano move go SAFE, SIMPLE and MUCH FASTER than the two previous moves!! Their pricing was very affordable, especially knowing when we first moved the piano we damaged both the piano and hubby's back!! If you're thinking you can move it yourself, you can... but once you have professionals, you'll see it's worth every penny! read more

I decided to use Safe and Sound based on the good reviews on Yelp. I needed a piano moved to my new place which was a second floor unit. After reading their stair criteria and sending them a photo of the stairs and doorway configuration at the new place, they advised me they could not move the piano there. After watching their video on their website (it gave me piano moving nightmares), I was convinced if a professional piano mover said it could not be done, then what chance did my antique piano have with my regular movers who said they could do it. I opted instead to trust the professionals and move the piano to a relative's house instead. The scheduling was easy. As they indicated, they called when they were on their way (they were even early!). The guys were courteous and professional. They were in and out of my house with that piano amazingly fast....like they do this all the time...which of course they do! At the delivery site, they also stayed within their predicted time frame. Once again they called to say they would be delivering within 30 minutes. My piano arrived safe and sound. The guys had it inside the house where we wanted it and that was that. Quick and easy. I definitely would use Safe and Sound again when I need to move that piano to my next place (a ground floor next time!) I highly recommend them for your piano moving needs (watch that video!) Thank you Safe and Sound! read more

Wonderful experience with Safe And Sound Piano Movers. My piano was transported and arrived in perfect condition. They were very careful with my piano. They 2 guys that moved it were great to work with and went way above and beyond. They were also quick to communicate and worked around my crazy schedule when we didn't get the keys to our home when we were supposed to. Highly recommend them! read more

I had a great experience with this company They were quick to respond to my email for a quote, and were able to get me scheduled for the very next week. The delivery guys communicated with me when they were running a bit early, and they were friendly and professional. I plan on hiring them again for a tuning once the piano settles. read more

They moved a baby grand half an hour across town for us. They were friendly and prompt. And I literally called every mover in town- Safe and Sound were the least expensive and I felt secure knowing they're also a piano store and know how to carefully move an instrument. I have used Safe and Sound Piano for several piano moves across the valley and for piano storage as well. They have moved and stored my Schimmel Grand and Petrof upright pianos. I highly recommend Safe and Sound, and trust no one else. On time, excellent pricing, and my pianos always delivered and set up in excellent condition. read more

I had my grand piano moved by these guys and they were excellent to work with. Having moved pianos myself I knew what to look for and these guys have it down to a science. Prompt, careful, friendly, great price, and they even got me on the schedule quick. You can tell this company has been doing this for a long time. read more

This was my first experience with professional piano movers. Up until now I have used my uncles or brothers or friends to move my keys. Very professional two man team! So far so good! Pick up of my piano went swimmingly. Drop off was wonderful. The guys even checked on me after to make sure that everything was indeed intact. Great price. They quoted me more than the actual cost to move, so that is always a plus. Quick and efficient. I will definitely use Safe and Sound Piano to move again! Thanks guys! read more

They moved the pianos without issue the two times I have used them, but scheduling with them is a joke. They called the day before to tell me the two hour window they had to make it over, which was between 8 and 10 am, and basically impossible to make for me, so I ask to reschedule for sometime in the afternoon. They don't have an afternoon deliver appoint available for a full week... On the afternoon before delivery, they call to give me a two hour window again, this time 12-2, hardly an improvement but I already delayed a week because of their schedule last time so I take it. Guess what time they call me the day of to warn me that they are 20 min away? 10:40am... I would try someone else next time to see if they can do better if I found another company with good reviews, but I at least haven't had any issues with pianos moved by them. read more

So, a piano is definitely an item you should not try to move by yourself - or with friends, unless those friends are the guys at Safe & Sound Piano. I have an antique upright piano that to be fair, probably isn't worth a crazy amount of money -- but that hasn't stopped Safe & Sound from treating it like it is. Most recently, Junior & Adrian moved my piano -- they called and let me know they were on the way, were actually EARLY, moved the piano with care, had to fit it through some tight doorways - all the while dealing with me looking over their shoulders (I was probably a bigger pain than the piano!!!), and handled the piano like it was heading to the Kennedy Center for a concert!! I couldn't be happier using this company, and absolutely recommend them! read more

I had always been hesitant to use professional piano movers, since my piano is my baby!!! But after I found out about their million-dollar insurance policy, I figured that I would give Safe and Sound Piano Movers a try. And am I glad I did!!! They are absolutely AMAZING and everyone who works there is just so pleasant to work with! Especially the delivery manager, Sherri. She was so helpful and sweet, and was patient with all of my questions. And she was SO funny!! And not to mention, the movers (I worked with Austin and Junior) were GREAT! They were in and out of my home so quick, without even scratching my beautiful piano, a Yamaha C7. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will most definitely use them once I need to move my piano again. Superb piano movers! read more

These guys are awesome! I bought an electric organ from a neighboring community and they worked with the seller to meet his needs as far as scheduling. Pricing was fair. Thank you! read more

I have a large antique upright piano (nearly 100 years old) and had moved it four times before this last time with Safe and Sound. This was by far the best experience I've had moving it; the guys knew what they were doing and were incredibly careful, professional, and reassuring. They took what has always been a stressful experience and made it easy. I'm grateful. I don't ever want to move it again, but if I have to, these are the guys I'm calling. read more

I had such an amazing experience! Wonderful and friendly communication before the move and super friendly service on the day of the move. The guys spent a little time helping me figure out the best place to put my baby grand in a very small space and it worked perfectly!! Lowest rates i have found for the most quality service. I will never use another company again now that i have found Safe and Sound!! Thank you so much for the great service! read more

This company was awesome. From scheduling to delivery. Austin and Luke did a phenomenal job moving our piano, very courteous, polite, and caring about the product they were moving. Thank you read more

2 hours and a painful back later I stood at the bottom of the moving van, realizing there is no way to get this piano into this truck! The wheels on the piano do not turn and will not go up the ramp. You should of seen what I had to do to get it out of the door. That's when I took out my phone and found this company. They can be there the next day! It took them 10 minutes to load and 10 minutes to unload it into my home and totally set up. Safe and sound! They charged me only the price on their website and no hidden fees! Do not try to move your piano yourselves! Use this honest straight forward company. It's cheaper than renting a truck. read more

My experience with Safe & Sound was outstanding. Their service team was professional and courteous when setting the appointment and their two-man moving team was amazing. This company is a good example of how one bad employee can ruin a reputation of an otherwise professional, competent company. I employed this company to kive a baby grand piano from my old house to new house. They had two options one involved taking it up steps which they recommended as the safest, though there was an extra charge for it. That was fine with me & I agreed to the extra charge. They had other stops & gave me a window of time to expect delivery. They were actually early, delivered the piano, set it up, & left before I got there. They left an invoice with my friend for $214 & said to tell me I could send a check. Since there was no mailing address on tge invoice I had to call them - 3 times before reaching a nice young woman who gave me the address. I put a check for $214 in the mail & thought all was well. Days later I receive a call at 9:30 am from an abrasive, angry woman named Sherry who identified herself as an accountant. The minute I answered the phone she said, " we have been chasing you for days to try to get our payment. You shorted us $100 for the ectra charge for stairs and I have proof you approved it." I was taken back & offended by her attitude & told her so. I know I approved the stair charge & wrote a check that was in accordance with the invoice left behind. Apparently her employees gave me the wrong invoice. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience & error, she started yelling over me while I was trying to explain what must have happened. She was belligerent, rude, & loud. I told her she needed to listen to what I was saying at which point she hung up on me. Subsequently I sent them a check on the same day for the difference as well as a copy of the invoice that had been left for me. I would guess Sherry is either wife or relative of owner as no employee in tgeir right mind would address a customer in that fashion. Unfortunately for this company, all the goodwill created by the very nice & competent delivery people was erased by this nut. As a result, I could never recommend them to anyone, nor would I use them again. Life is too short & there are many piano movers in town where you don't have to deal with this nonsense. read more

They were so easy to deal with from the get go. I called and talked to Josh who was very friendly and informative. He said it was a set price of $149.00 for my stand up piano. No hassle it was easy to schedule the appointment for the next day. They called in time to pick up. They were very patient and friendly when I got to the pick up location a little late. Called again for drop off location and were there in the window they gave me. Dropped it off, I signed and it was done. Very seamless and friendly process. They even said that when we are ready to to tune the piano I can call back and they have staff to do it. I Highly recommend them. read more
