Here's my review from last year on the other location: I could tell by looking at the photos and reviews on Yelp that this place was going to be wonderful. Thankfully, when we finally gave it a shot, we were not disappointed. Talk about made fresh. Everything was so delicious and freshly prepared. Flavors were spot on. The service was fantastic. They always made sure that our drinks were filled and we had everything that we needed. My absolute favorite dish was the fried green beans with minced pork. Get it with extra minced pork and you'll love it. The steamed dumplings and pancake appetizer are also really good. Highly recommend! They also have clean restrooms with an extra large sink outside the restroom area so you can quickly wash your hands if you don't actually need to use the restroom. Pretty cool. We can't wait to go back for more!

After a 30 min wait the food came out. The sizzling pepper steak came out very hot and sizzling but it was incredibly oily. It was well seasoned, but way too oily. After we finished it, there was a puddle of oil remaining. The braised beef noodle was decent, and it was not special in any way. The restaurant was fairly clean, although the tables were packed tightly to fit the most amount of people. Our server was attentive, refilled our water frequently even though the restaurant was packed, and knew both mandarin and English. Overall I was mostly satisfied with the experience, but I would wish the food was less salty and greasy.

Our food was delivered to our table as if it were a fast casual restaurant, which we totally weren't expecting. The portions are huge and isn't overly salted. We don't normally eat a lot of salt in our meals and are always worried that restaurant food would be salty, but here, it is lightly salted and you can always add more salt if needed. Please note that even though it's not salty, that doesn't mean it lacks flavor. This place totally understands flavor and it's awesome!! Also, the inside of the restaurant is CLEAN! The first time I visited St. Louis, I had amazing Chinese food,but I still wasn't expecting this level here in Springfield. I've actually walked past Corner 21 multiple times and kept going to the restaurant across the street... yeah, big mistake. The food here is legit Northeastern Chinese cuisine, super authentic, not watered down, and full of flavor. Everything we ordered was spot on, and the dishes came out pretty quickly too. For context, I grew up in Asia and have lived in California for 25 years, so I'm pretty selective when it comes to Chinese food. This place easily holds up even compared to spots in LA. Service was great. Our server, Allen (天宇), was friendly, attentive, and just easy to talk to. It felt welcoming without being over the top, which I really appreciated. The space itself is clean, nicely set up, and has a comfortable vibe. And I have to say the milk tea was ridiculously good. I've been drinking boba since I was a kid, and this one really stood out. I used Uber Eats to find the highest rated spot in the area and was happy to see they had one of my go to meals, Roast Pork Egg Foo Young. The order arrived fast and fresh, thanks to my delivery driver Jeffery. The portions were very generous, the food was hot and very tasty. I'd say it's one of the better Egg Foo Young's and Sauces I've had from a Chinese restaurant. The Fried Rice was fresh and the Egg Roll was well stuffed, crispy and had a great taste. For dessert I had Almond Cookies, they were the perfect sweetness to top off a good meal. My fortune cookie fortune was fitting for the week of business meetings I was conducting.
