Wow! Such a dream! I came here (as a maid of honer) with my friend, who is a bride to be, and we were treated like never before! This was our 3rd and last stop for a day of wedding gown shopping. My friend felt defeated, everywhere else we went to was sub-par, whether it was the sales associate not helping her into dresses, or just simply not listening to her likes and dislikes.We walked into Max's and were greeted with such kindness, she knew this was it! This was the first location I tried for my wedding dress. I had a nice rep (I don't remember her name) and tried on very nice dresses. However, I asked for a particular dress weeks prior to my appointment. The girl on the phone said she'd call me after she would find out about the dress availability. They are able to order from the designer for a $150 fee. I never received a call back. When I called to confirm my appt there were no notes on my dress. I let it go. I came in for my appt and had a nice experience (but I also didn't know what else to compare it to since it was my first bridal gown appt ever). I then kind of decided on a dress and got all emotional and happy and whatnot. I asked about the dress I originally wanted to try on and I explained what happened. The rep that helped me said "yeah for sure we can order it for you". Then I noticed she was a rude with the girl at the front desk. The receptionist looked up the style# confirmed that she ordered and told me that she would call me in 7 days. The time came and went and they never called for a follow up. By this time I didn't care to follow up with them because I had already found a place who offered me better service, kindness, and found the exact dress I wanted. read more

Review is long overdue, but I visited Max Bridal around Sept 2015. I was given a 10 AM appointment. Unfortunately, the store assistant was running a bit late, but was very helpful. They let me try on as many dresses as I wanted in an hour. They were very helpful in trying to determine my taste and the style I was going for. So they get 2 stars just for their friendly demeanor. Unfortunately, another bride came early for her appointment and was there with her entire family for approximately 30 minutes of my hour appointment. Not only was I uncomfortable but I didn't like that the store assistants and receptionists just let them stay there and watch me try on dresses with my mom and MOH. I felt like if you have a boutique with a main dressing room/stage, it's very uncomfortable to have strangers look at everything you're trying on. Their selections were nice, but didn't fall in love with anything. read more

Going to Max Bridal was a great experience from beginning to end! I had no idea what I was looking for in a dress, and Chelsea helped me find the perfect one for me. She really took her time, and found great options for me to try on, while really listening to what I liked about the different styles. She was great about keeping things within our budget, and made the whole experience (which I was nervous about before hand) super fun and easy. Mya did an incredible job on the alterations, and made me feel comfortable every time we met for fittings. I was so impressed with how the dress looked in the end - it was clear how much she cares about her work, and she's truly great at what she does. The staff at the front was always super accommodating and friendly throughout the process, especially when it came to scheduling fittings before the wedding, which can be stressful with a busy schedule. Excellent and very professional service. The employees are very friendly and nice. The girl I got to help me was Jillian, I don't know how to describe her in words. She is an angel, such a sweetheart, very patient and down to earth. I have been to other bridal places before Max bridal and my experiences were really bad. When I came to Max bridal I was surprised how friendly and nice they were to me. She didn't force me to buy anything or given me the rude face that you are wasting my time. In fact she gave me her honest opinion about every different gowns I have tried on. Also they don't have any restrictions on trying out more than five dresses or 'X' number of the dresses, you can try out as many dresses you want to, which is really a cool thing. I found my dress for my 12/1/18 wedding at Max Bridal. I went to many different shops and Max was by far the best - every dress they brought me was beautiful and I had so many options to choose from! They actually suggested for me a different style than what I had originally planned on and I loved it and ended up in that style! The team there is amazing to work with - the level of client service is exceptional. Their new store in Syosset is gorgeous too! I had my alternations done there too by Ines who is affiliated with them and she was just so amazing to work with. My dress had some complicated alternations and required a lot of appointments and Ines was just so patient and hard working and helped make me comfortable and be assured that everything would be perfect for the wedding. I've recommended friends to Max and I'll continue to do so. You would be doing yourself a disservice to go dress shopping in Long Island and not make a stop at Max Bridal. read more

I could not have asked for a better experience at Max Bridal. I chose it as my first dress shopping destination because it carried a designer I was interested in and was conveniently located in Nassau County for my mom and sisters, as well as easily accessible for me via the Long Island Railroad from NYC (less than 5 min cab from Mineola station). I'm so glad those factors led me here! My bridal consultant, Jillian, was THE BEST. She listened closely to what I was looking for, but combined my direction with her expertise to select the perfect dress for me (not the designer I had come in seeking!). For me, saying yes to the dress was easy. My only sticking point was what size to order. As we all know, sizing for bridal gowns is nothing like street sizes, and if one of your measurements is larger than the other two, the standard recommendation is to go with the largest size and deal with alterations down the road (even though that could mean ordering a dress that is up to 2-3 sizes too big for the rest of your body). Having had a bad experience with a bridesmaid dress (bought elsewhere) for which I needed several inches taken in on the hips and bust, and knowing that the heavy lace detail on the dress I had chosen would present a challenge for both a seamstress and my wallet if very major alterations were needed, I was reluctant to just "follow the chart" but didn't want to make a mistake with such a major purchase. I had the luxury of time, given my wedding was 9+ months out, so I held off on ordering. A couple of weeks later Jillian called to say that they had gotten a sample dress by the same designer in the smaller size I was leaning towards and suggested I come in and try it on to get a feel for the size: it fit like a glove and I placed the order for my that day. This is the level of service you can expect from Jillian, Courtney and everyone at Max Bridal! And don't let the somewhat small facade fool you -- the place is PACKED with beautiful wedding and wedding party dresses to fit almost any taste, size or budget while retaining its boutique level service and feel. From the first phone call I made for an appointment I felt comfortable, Such a cute boutique store and everyone is super nice, and super helpful. Came here on a Saturday with a bunch of my bridesmaids. They have literally 15 samples of bridesmaids dresses and bascially no mother of the bride. The wedding dresses are on two long racks of either side of the store. The condition of the dresses are horrible. I had tried on a beautiful Allure dress that I was considering earlier in the day and saw it again here. After trying it on here, I actually liked it less because it looked in such bad condition. They only have one dressing room as well. The women were nice, but the selection was poor. The photos are painting the store in a better light than it actually was. read more

The personal touch and the "one bride at a time" appointments were exactly what my daughter was looking for. Jillian and Courtney were great. OMG! I really loved the experience I had in Max Bridal. Seon was the attendant and she was a sweetheart. The store was closed for me and my mother and everything made us fell very comfortable. Like I was trying the dress in my house. She let me look all over the dresses first and I decided to go for the ones on sale, just because I can´t wait 6-7 months for my dress to come. So, she let me try the ones on sale and 2 just to satisfy myself. I can't say enough good things about Max bridal and their staff. First off Amanda is an amazing consultant. I came to this salon twice and had Amanda as my consultant both times. She is extremely helpful, has a great bubbly personality and provides some wonderful insight. All of the staff here are very warm and welcoming. A few days before my first appointment someone from the store called to confirm and I was informed that they have a Pinterest board with all of their available dresses on it, so I could look and see beforehand which dresses I thought I may like to try on. Very helpful as I felt more prepared coming into the salon. I had been to one salon prior to this and there really is no comparison when it comes to the experience Max bridal provides you. I loved (as did my mom) the fact that the fitting rooms are spaced out and each has its own area for your party to sit and watch as you try on gowns. Though there was another bride in the store trying on dresses while I was there we never even saw each other. You don't have to worry about standing on a pedestal next to another girl trying on gowns, you truly feel like you're the center of attention during your appointment. The gown selection here is really beautiful and fairly priced. Amanda made sure to only show me gowns that were within my budget, And i never felt pressured. TRULY & UTTERLY BESIDE MYSELF on how they treated my family and I after we ordered the dress. The list of issues and explanation can go on for awhile. From my dress coming in yellowed to them trying to tell us it was our problem, to cancellations in my fittings, to MY DRESS NOT BEING COMPLETELY FIXED FROM MY LAST FITTING OR STEAMED AND READY when I went to go pick up my dress the day before my wedding, to the OWNER THEN TRYING TO SAY THE SEAMSTRESS IS CONTRACTED AND IT WASN'T HER FAULT--completely unprofessional. The owner does not know how to run a business or take ownership of anything. The seamstress that they have "contracted" from what they indicated to us is not reliable in getting things done I guess since I had pearls missing off my dress, things not sowed in where it should have been and the dress was completely wrinkled. Absolutely disgusted and I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. They ruined the true gown/bride experience for me. read more

I can't say enough amazing things about Seon and her team at Max Bridal. I wanted a blush dress and found a bunch of dresses I loved at other stores but I never had "that" feeling everyone talks about. I figured I just wasn't going to get it, that it was me. Then I went into Max Bridal and Seon had me try on dresses that I thought I wanted, but also had me try on dresses I never would have picked up but fell in love with once they were on. It was so much fun trying on dresses with her. Then, she had me try on a blush strapless gown even though I insisted I didn't want strapess. The moment I pulled up the dress and looked in the mirror all I could say was "oh my god" and saw her smiling in the background. It was the one! She absolutely knows what she was doing, and has that great balance of getting you to try new things but isn't too pushy. Everytime I dealt with the staff there they were absolutely phenomenal. Wow. I had the most incredible experience at Max Bridal due to the amazing Celia. I was very nervous to go wedding dress shopping (wedding dress nightmares, anyone?) Max Bridal was the 2nd store that I visited. It is small, but in the best way. It is intimate and you are the only bride trying on dresses, so all of the attention is on you! You get a completely personalized experience. I pulled a few gowns and Celia pulled some as well. The first few dresses I tried on were gorgeous, but not quite what I was looking for. I tried on the third dress and it was a STUNNER. As soon as I put it on, Celia's reaction was amazing. Her excitement and enthusiasm added so much fun to the appointment, and really made ME more excited about the dress. What hit me the most is that Celia was so genuine throughout. I did not feel like she was a salesperson trying to just sell me a dress. She was so invested in helping me feel beautiful and find the right dress, and when I had it on she helped me celebrate! I was so touched when she actually cried along with my mom and sister. It really shows how invested she becomes in the appointments. She was super professional but at the same time was warm, funny, and energetic. It felt like having another family member there by the end of the appointment. I am still floating over my experience at Max Bridal! I found this hidden treasure after researching locations for LaSposa gowns...the fact that it was so close to my home was just an added bonus! I had a lot of anxiety and worry about finding the perfect dress for me, and Jillian was like a guardian angel. She listened to my concerns, stayed within budget, made me laugh, and most importantly, put me in dresses that accentuated my positives! She was the perfect combination of critic (when a dress didn't "do anything" for me) and cheerleader (when I was shocked at how nice a dress looked). I have been to this salon twice. The first time I had a great experience. I would have given this salon 5 stars if that was the only time I had gone. The second time I went was for my bridesmaids to try on the dresses I had selected from my first visit. The girl who helped me, Amy I think her name was, was so rude. I had an appointment which I was early for. I understand other people were at the salon also but she very rudely said she had other clients in the fitting rooms and we had to wait. When I asked if the dresses I called about were pulled she said nobody told her they needed to be and went to go look for them. She came back saying she could only find 3 of the 4. I told her the 4th one was the reason I was there that day and she told me "I looked three times I don't know what you want me to do about it. You probably gave me the wrong style number". I told her the number I got was from her the last time I was there and she rolled her eyes and walked away. Then, when she finally found the dress in the discontinued section she alerted me to the fact the dress was discontinued and then told me she had to tend to the other people in the store and walked away from me. My bridesmaids were fuming with how she treated me. She didn't even try to accommodate us with different dresses. She was so rude. I will NEVER recommend this salon to anyone nor am I going to order any of the other bridesmaid dresses here. read more
