We started buying what we thought was healthy food on Amazon for the past couple years, until we discovered Aristopits. It had just opened and its everything i want a local pet store to be. Locally owned, healthy food options (including lots of gluten free food and treats), knowledgeable and passionate staff, even raw food and treats, plus a lot of toys! I buy Zignature gluten free salmon & trout from them, and its better food than what i was purchasing before from Amazon, and its a couple bucks cheaper also! If you love your furry friends... feed them good healthy food! Shop local and you've got a win win. Love Aristopits!

He greeted me and began to help me once he finished with the other customer. He listened to what I was looking for and gave me feedback on finding a tank mate for my larger sized gourami. His insight was helpful. I decided on a black angel fish. I asked Christopher how much they cost. He said $12.99. He then realized that he had misspoke as the black ones are 19.99. He said he would honor the $12.99 and I really appreciated that. They have lots of pets supplies, reptiles & fish, rabbits & Guinea pigs, crickets & rodents, dog and cat food, even vaccines! The only mark I would give against a perfect review is that it smelled like smoke. Not real strong but definitely present. Even still, I am happy to have found a nearby pet store. I will definitely be coming back for pet needs. I'm also thrilled to support a family owned, black owned business.

However , since I started here it seems they have a turnover in help and now seem to clearly be understaffed. I was told to drop him off at 8:00 am. He was there for over 6 hours before I was called to pick him up. I was very unhappy and told her this was unacceptable. I had told the owner from the beginning I did not want him kept crated more than needed. If they are taking so many dogs that it takes them this long to get them complete, they clearly should be timing the drop offs so they are not having to crate them over this long of a period. I have never had my dogs in groomers more than 3 1/2-4 hours tops! Her answer was that there were only 2 of them working that day. Clearly they had more than they could handle in a timely manner. I would have preferred to be called and told they were shorthanded and I would have gladly rescheduled. Also I tried numerous times to call when time was ticking by, and they had no one to answer the call. Sorry to say, I feel their business practices have much to be worked out. If time is not a problem for you or your pet, then maybe this is the place for you.

Next thing I knew I got a email stating he reminded my offer letter of employment due to not doing what was asked of me which I did do and sent him the emails directly and then he just stopped responding. You do not treat people this way by no means. i was so excited for this job and then it was taken away from me for nothing I did wrong. How do you treat anyone that way? I feel this shows true character of people, and this business claims to care about people and their pets? The job listing is back up and I caution anyone of applying for a job here because they do not care, what was done to me was cruel, cold, and callous

My dog was in the house all day; I discovered it only when I arrived home - no communication from the business. After I found their oversight, the owner did not respond in a timely or satisfactory manner. She had a, "Well, stuff happens" attitude. One other time, they came when I had cancelled the visit. That day, her own employee explained this oversight as, "[The owner] is not the best communicator." In summary, find another pet sitter like I did. These people are not responsible enough to trust your pet with them.

My partner left a review here about our experience when we brought my dog in to pass over the…read morerainbow bridge. They conveniently ignored the most important part. We showed up as soon as they opened which was 7 or 730. I specifically went to this location because the were open earlier than the emergency vets...my baby was struggling, I wanted to make sure he didn't suffer. Anyway- I'm new to the area and of course I didn't want to show up somewhere as a completely new patient for this. Heck I didn't wanna be there at all. Losing my baby boy was devastating. In my partners review he talked about how untimely they were, however the wait time was never the actual problem. I've taken my dogs to emergency vets before and I know there is typically a wait time. The part they conveniently ignored was how souless the employees were. Not one single time did I receive sympathy from anyone- not even a "I'm so sorry this is happening." The tech who took my intake info was practically asleep, I couldn't even hear her for the most part. They had ZERO bedside manner. This is a vet...they're supposed to care about animals. The only reason I went here is because they have stellar reviews on Google, but Yelp tells a much different story. So I'm pretty sure they delete bad reviews. But Yelp doesn't allow that. The point is, I wouldn't have to leave this review if they showed even the slightest bit of empathy or sympathy. Do better.
