Well, Lee did it again. Went in for a diagnostic and he found what was wrong right away. He gave me a referral and I was on my way. Great, no nonsense service here. Thanks. SJ. read more

Took my car to Mavis Discount Tire & Auto and had a great experience. They serviced my front brakes, flushed my brake fluid, and changed my oil. The work was done well and the service was solid all around. Would recommend if you're looking for a reliable shop. Will be back for future maintenance. read more

I just showed up without an appointment and they helped me right away. I did not have to wait at all. Great service and very friendly.

I had two tires I needed changed and was in a hurry. They told me I could drop the wheels off, run my errands and they would call me when they were ready. Service was great! I'm very pleased. read more

Mavis Tires & Brakes - Tires Near Me - Covington, Georgia

Made a reservation and when I arrived they said it was canceled and couldn't tell me why. Now I have to wait. What good is a reservation?

I was quoted $428 for rear brakes and rotors, but was charged over $600 upon completion of the job. Had I known that price, I would've shopped around to compare prices. It was a real slimy move. read more

We have been using Mavis in Covington, GA exclusively for years. We are always treated with respect and kindness. The work they perform is top quality and the pricing is fair. Lee, the manager, is very professional. The waiting room area is clean and comfortable. We have complete confidence in Lee and Mavis of Covington! read more

Customer service was excellent, price was the best in the area and I checked several places. I will be a repeat customer,

I'm new to town and was recommended Mavis by a neighbor. I was so impressed by the customer service, the cleanliness of the waiting area, how efficient the mechanics were with my car and the transparency of pricing for what my car needs. Everyone I interacted with at Mavis was super thorough from start to finish with me and they had all the pieces I needed in stock so I didn't need to come back to get additional work/repairs done at a later date after they had to order parts for my car. Big shoutout to Malia and Chris who were absolute rockstars!! read more

Took way too long, manager was talking to another employee while I was waiting at the counter. Then they parked my truck in a handicapped space. I complained to the manager and he had a smart asz comment about playing a fool or something Will not be back read more

Mavis Tires & Brakes consistently have the most competitive prices for tires. They always provide my family with excellent customer service, whether getting new tires, brakes or oil changes, courtesy air & tire checks. They have even replaced a tire on the rim of my lawnmower for me, as a courtesy. You won't find many tire garages that have a stronger customer service! read more

When everyone else wouldn't give me the time to look at my car and the minor issue. The crew here did, they gained another life long customer. They are highly honest and they take the time to get to the issue and not over charge you. Are going to MULTIPLE places, they were my last what the heck I swing in there. They also show you the issue so you know what they're talking about. GREAT CREW HERE. read more

Haven't been there yet but the phone call was polite and helpful! I have a friend who has used this company at a different location and told me he bought a set of (4) tires and they were not riding good , he went back to that location he bought them & the tires had something wrong with them,& even though he had the extra coverage, they told him all they can do , just sell him another set even though they were just purchased and he called corporate office and also told him too bad, when he told them about the defective tires? So all can say that was him not n me, and it was a different location , but the same Franchise? read more

This is good and frustrating. After dealing with a district manager, Mavis can't get rid of a vibration & pulling that is happening with my car after replacing my Uniroyal Tigerpaw tire with a Pirelli Cinturato. It didn't have that problem before I replaced one tire, then 2. Sheldon is saying every ridiculous thing he can say, when I know two different places don't have the right equipment to deal with it. The tires are of a different brand, but I was told that didn't matter. Between 2 different locations, I've been there 7 times too many. They don't know what they're doing and he's not fooling me throwing a bunch of mechanical jargon at me when I know it's them, not my car. They work on a gazillion different kinds of cars and don't know how to deal with a high-speed vibration problem of this German-made higher-end car. This nonsense would fall under the lemon law, and he said if I can prove Mavis can't clear the problem, instead of all the garbage he said, he'll give me a discount on the job they did to pay for wherever I take my car. I have to pay out-of-pocket to have someone else take a look and see why this is happening. This is nonsense and U.S. businesses lack integrity and have accountability issues. Pass the buck! Good people have been helped and satisfied by service many times! Would definitely recommend

Best Mavis I've gone to hands down. I went in last week late afternoon thinking I needed an alignment, tire balance or possibly rear brakes and rotors but Lee my front desk Rep said "come back another day but early so I have time to drive and assess it but I don't think it's brakes." I came back super early today and there was already 5 people there and 4 were waiting to be helped. He was the only person at the front but he moved things along fairly quickly. He took my keys and eventually took my car for a test drive. Upon returning he called me up to the front to advise that it was neither of the things I thought but that he fixed the issue and rotated my tires which I didn't realize I should do more often. He asked me to call him and let him know how it drives which I did and the best thing was there was no charge because it was a simple fix. I would definitely go back again and plan to work exclusively with Lee because I know for sure that I'm in good and capable hands. Everything was clean including the restroom, water is available along with Wifi. AC is pumping so bring a sweater/hoodie but no complaints because it was almost 100 degrees today. read more

WARNING For anyone living in Covington GA please watch out with your car repair dealings at Mavis Tires & Brakes. They told me my brakes were at 20% and 30% to try and sell me a brake job. My brakes were done in May with all new rotors and pads. I barely use my van, maybe once or twice a week. I had my brakes checked out by another mechanic and he said they are brand new and do not have hardly any wear. Mavis were to align my front end due to the shaking/steering wheel pull. They charged me $10 more than quoted on the phone and upon driving it home I still had shaking and pulling. My mechanic looked at my front end and my sway bars were shot along with another important part of the front end. He told me my front end should have never been aligned because it wouldn't work correctly with the items that needed fixing. The technician at Mavis should have come into the waiting room and told me the front end couldn't be aligned until the items were replaced/fixed. Please don't go there they are as dishonest as the day is long. They were trying to take advantage of a senior adult and that is horrible. #mavistire read more

Good service fixed my car correctly . Will come back good customer service nice people

I arrived to Mavis Tires maybe 10 minutes before closing on a flat low profile tire and Thank Goodness it was a Thursday when they close later at 8:30pm! Mr. Lee was the only one there at that time and he assisted me without an attitude and gave me great tire advice for my future tire purchase. I will return to this location and recommend others do too! read more

My husband came in last Saturday for a front end alignment, brought it back Thursday for issues.... This is the first day after pick up that there was time to take it back. They were busy... made an appointment for 8:00 on Saturday.. 2 1/2 hours later it has not even left the parking lot... what is the point of making an appointment for something that would take 15 minutes to fix? Husband was told that there was a car that was a priority ahead of him, but that was after he went in wanting to know why car was not done. Unacceptable customer service. If that was the case he should have been told that at drop off for his APPOINTMENT time. They had a I don't care attitude. Just took car without being repaired. Will take it to another shop .... And pay again to have it fixed correctly. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! read more

Had an appointment at Mavis 2:00pm today on 6/13/24 in Covington. Got there on time. When I walked in the store, the guy at the front told me laughing, "our system is down" I guess no one from Mavis couldn't call, email or text customers. A wasted drive for nothing to get my oil change. I left the dealership to give Mavis my services. Went back to the dealership (Ginn Chevy) in Covington today and got my oil changed quickly. Google review is my duty. read more

I have been coming to this Mavis location specifically for the past few years. Lee, Chris and the other staff have always been helpful, with outstanding customer service, and they charge fair prices. I have replaced tires, brakes, rotors, and have had oil changes and rotations from here. My car always has to have parts ordered before hand but they always get them ordered timely and call me when the parts come in. I would definitely recommend this Mavis to anyone in the area or passing through. Great job guys!! read more

Went in for new tires and I always feel like they take good care of me at the Mavis on Hwy 142. Let's be honest no one wants to spend hundreds on new tires but I don't even feel like I am being taken advantage of here and I am getting my monies worth. read more

Kudos to Lee and the staff for great work and honoring the warranty. After moving to Covington Ga., we needed a local, trustworthy, repair shop that had associated shops throughout the southeast and found Mavis. Lee did tires and service for one car and then tires and service on another and finally brakes. A brake shimmy needed attention and Lee made good on the warranty and corrected the problem. My unqualified 5 stars for Lee and the Covington MAVIS Tire shop. read more

I recently had my car aligned and was told I had a 3 month warranty. I hit a curb about a month later and no questions asked they honored the warranty. I dropped my car off and within an hour they called to let know it was ready. They were friendly and courteous. Would definitely recommend. read more

I was passing by Mavis Tires and decided to stop and inquire if they also replace headlamp bulbs as well. I had only really considered Mavis tires for tire services and maybe oil changes, so I was pleasantly surprised that they also provide that service as well. Lee was very helpful and prompt to service my car, even though I did not have an appointment. During a time when GOOD customer service seems to be vanishing, I really had to give a shout out to them. Thanks, Lee! read more

We were loyal customers for years. New Tire sling a weight less than a month after install. They refused to rebalance the tire without charging us the rebalance fee. Guess what I found. Discount tire offers free lifetime rebalancing. Much better customer service. Never using mavis again. read more

Thank goodness for Mavis! My husband and I were taking a drive through the Metro Atlanta area this past Sunday, and while on I-20 near the GA 142/Covington exit, my front left tire started falling to pieces. It was about 4:30 pm, and I made it off the interstate. I checked a nearby big box store that has an auto department, but all their auto employees were already gone for the day. My husband happened to spot Mavis down the street, and we decided to take a chance. Even thought their official hours were until 5 pm, the workers there told us they'd replace our tire quickly even though it meant working a bit late. In less than an hour, we were all ready to go back on the road. The tire and labor even cost way less than we expected. We were thrilled with the service we received, and relieved that what started out as a terrible surprise ended much better than expected. read more

UPDATE: I am pleased to report that Mavis looked into my concerns the very next day and rectified my situation. Thank you Mr. Lee Searcy.

If I could give 0 stars I would... bought tires from Mavis less than a month ago and the back tire treads are gone. Took it to Mavis and they told me that due to an alignment issue, it was my fault and nothing they could do. The tires are less than a month old. I had the tires installed at Mavis. I believe if my alignment issue was something that was so bad to destroy tires in less than a month, they could have brought it to my attention and handled it when I got the tires installed. I have now wasted my time and money on tires from them. Go to them if you like being screwed over. read more
