This is good and frustrating. After dealing with a district manager, Mavis can't get rid of a vibration & pulling that is happening with my car after replacing my Uniroyal Tigerpaw tire with a Pirelli Cinturato. It didn't have that problem before I replaced one tire, then 2. Sheldon is saying every ridiculous thing he can say, when I know two different places don't have the right equipment to deal with it. The tires are of a different brand, but I was told that didn't matter. Between 2 different locations, I've been there 7 times too many. They don't know what they're doing and he's not fooling me throwing a bunch of mechanical jargon at me when I know it's them, not my car. They work on a gazillion different kinds of cars and don't know how to deal with a high-speed vibration problem of this German-made higher-end car. This nonsense would fall under the lemon law, and he said if I can prove Mavis can't clear the problem, instead of all the garbage he said, he'll give me a discount on the job they did to pay for wherever I take my car. I have to pay out-of-pocket to have someone else take a look and see why this is happening. This is nonsense and U.S. businesses lack integrity and have accountability issues. Pass the buck! Best Mavis I've gone to hands down. I went in last week late afternoon thinking I needed an alignment, tire balance or possibly rear brakes and rotors but Lee my front desk Rep said "come back another day but early so I have time to drive and assess it but I don't think it's brakes." I came back super early today and there was already 5 people there and 4 were waiting to be helped. He was the only person at the front but he moved things along fairly quickly. He took my keys and eventually took my car for a test drive. Upon returning he called me up to the front to advise that it was neither of the things I thought but that he fixed the issue and rotated my tires which I didn't realize I should do more often. He asked me to call him and let him know how it drives which I did and the best thing was there was no charge because it was a simple fix. I would definitely go back again and plan to work exclusively with Lee because I know for sure that I'm in good and capable hands. Everything was clean including the restroom, water is available along with Wifi. AC is pumping so bring a sweater/hoodie but no complaints because it was almost 100 degrees today. read more

WARNING For anyone living in Covington GA please watch out with your car repair dealings at Mavis Tires & Brakes. They told me my brakes were at 20% and 30% to try and sell me a brake job. My brakes were done in May with all new rotors and pads. I barely use my van, maybe once or twice a week. I had my brakes checked out by another mechanic and he said they are brand new and do not have hardly any wear. Mavis were to align my front end due to the shaking/steering wheel pull. They charged me $10 more than quoted on the phone and upon driving it home I still had shaking and pulling. My mechanic looked at my front end and my sway bars were shot along with another important part of the front end. He told me my front end should have never been aligned because it wouldn't work correctly with the items that needed fixing. The technician at Mavis should have come into the waiting room and told me the front end couldn't be aligned until the items were replaced/fixed. Please don't go there they are as dishonest as the day is long. They were trying to take advantage of a senior adult and that is horrible. #mavistire read more

I arrived to Mavis Tires maybe 10 minutes before closing on a flat low profile tire and Thank Goodness it was a Thursday when they close later at 8:30pm! Mr. Lee was the only one there at that time and he assisted me without an attitude and gave me great tire advice for my future tire purchase. My husband came in last Saturday for a front end alignment, brought it back Thursday for issues.... This is the first day after pick up that there was time to take it back. They were busy... made an appointment for 8:00 on Saturday.. 2 1/2 hours later it has not even left the parking lot... what is the point of making an appointment for something that would take 15 minutes to fix? Husband was told that there was a car that was a priority ahead of him, but that was after he went in wanting to know why car was not done. Unacceptable customer service. If that was the case he should have been told that at drop off for his APPOINTMENT time. They had a I don't care attitude. Just took car without being repaired. Will take it to another shop .... When I walked in the store, the guy at the front told me laughing, "our system is down" I guess no one from Mavis couldn't call, email or text customers. A wasted drive for nothing to get my oil change. I left the dealership to give Mavis my services. Went back to the dealership (Ginn Chevy) in Covington today and got my oil changed quickly. I have been coming to this Mavis location specifically for the past few years. Lee, Chris and the other staff have always been helpful, with outstanding customer service, and they charge fair prices. I have replaced tires, brakes, rotors, and have had oil changes and rotations from here. My car always has to have parts ordered before hand but they always get them ordered timely and call me when the parts come in. After moving to Covington Ga., we needed a local, trustworthy, repair shop that had associated shops throughout the southeast and found Mavis. Lee did tires and service for one car and then tires and service on another and finally brakes. A brake shimmy needed attention and Lee made good on the warranty and corrected the problem. We were loyal customers for years. New Tire sling a weight less than a month after install. They refused to rebalance the tire without charging us the rebalance fee. Guess what I found. Discount tire offers free lifetime rebalancing. Much better customer service. Never using mavis again. read more

Thank goodness for Mavis! My husband and I were taking a drive through the Metro Atlanta area this past Sunday, and while on I-20 near the GA 142/Covington exit, my front left tire started falling to pieces. It was about 4:30 pm, and I made it off the interstate. I checked a nearby big box store that has an auto department, but all their auto employees were already gone for the day. My husband happened to spot Mavis down the street, and we decided to take a chance. Even thought their official hours were until 5 pm, the workers there told us they'd replace our tire quickly even though it meant working a bit late. In less than an hour, we were all ready to go back on the road. The tire and labor even cost way less than we expected. We were thrilled with the service we received, and relieved that what started out as a terrible surprise ended much better than expected. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would... bought tires from Mavis less than a month ago and the back tire treads are gone. Took it to Mavis and they told me that due to an alignment issue, it was my fault and nothing they could do. The tires are less than a month old. I had the tires installed at Mavis. I believe if my alignment issue was something that was so bad to destroy tires in less than a month, they could have brought it to my attention and handled it when I got the tires installed. I have now wasted my time and money on tires from them. Go to them if you like being screwed over. read more
