Had the worst experience ever and for something as simple as mounting 4 tires with new TMPS sensors that I provided which they couldn't relearn to my vehicle for what ever reason.But the staff were a bunch of Guys just joking around playing games while my tires sat next to my vehicle already on the rims for almost 2 hours. Finally after getting them on my truck every rim was covered in black grease hand prints and they let me drive away like that. Well ended the month getting a flat tire. Lucky for me it went flat right by here. First time customer. Kyle and Drew were very helpful and nice. I was impressed with how fast the service was. They attempted to repair the tire instead of trying to just sell my on a new tire. Unfortunately, the tire could not be prepared and I had to purchase an new one. Found out afterwards that they charged me more than anyone else; they left a mess behind and never put my valve stem caps on. Valve stem caps are cheap but a huge pain in the butt that i now need to amazon a set or drive all the way back to shop to make them replace them. read more

I needed to replace my blinker lights. I called Mavis. They took me in right away. The service was just awesome. The guys were great. They had my lights in blinkers working and I was on my way in less than 10 minutes. now that service you very rarely see. This place is a rip off. Horrible service. They take advantage of people in despair. $45 for a plug on a flat tire! I couldn't believe the price. I could've went across the street to advance auot parts and pay $10 max for the plug and do it myself. Instead I went down the street to Mr Tire with my tire almost completely flat. Mr Tire charged $40 for a patch from the inside of the tire which is a much better quality flat tire repair solution and also more labor intensive. read more

Made an appointment online for 1:00pm today for a leak in one tire that was down to 17 psi and when I arrived the assistant manager asked me to come back in 1.5 hours. I told him I had a reservation number for 1:00 and he said he had no bay available and people were ahead of me. Russell and Sean were BEYOND AMAZING in helping us get back on the road yesterday after a MAJOR ordeal in getting a tire shipped to their store from across the state. Due to a mix up with corporate dispatch, we had to drive on a donut across the state because no stores in the entire state were able to get the tire we needed. This includes Firestone, Goodyear, Sam's, Walmart, and so many more. Although their computers were down, they were able to not just help us, but they finished the job we needed in under 30 minutes. Mavis better know what kind of asset they have there with Jerome working the front desk; polite, friendly, helpful, understanding and very careful of being certain of the details to ensure I was looking for the exact tire needed to replace my nail-studded sidewalk rear tire. He helped me navigate the process and made certain that the new tire was correctly placed and balanced and all tires were rotated . Made the mistake of not asking ahead of time for price on oil change. Needed car inspected and asked them to also do oil change. Inspection was $10. Oil change was $102 with taxes. Won't make that mistake again. read more

After my previous review I was contacted by Jenna S., a Brand Ambassador for Mavis Discount Tire who saw my review on Yelp! She expressed concern for my dissatisfaction with the customer service at their location in Niagara Falls. She requested that I would allow them the opportunity to resolve my issue to my satisfaction. She requested the following information: Full Name, Phone Number, Invoice number, Date, and Mavis Location Visited. I emailed it that night and by next morning I received a message stating that she had shared it with their Customer Service team and one of their top representatives would be reaching out to me in the near future. Several hours later I received a call from Chris, who is the boss of the Regional Manager, Tony (he was away at training). He expressed great concerns over what had happened. I explained the entire situation and he was very apologetic and disappointed at what had happened. He stated that the matter would be handled and did not want to lose a customer of over 10 years. Customer Service is very important to them, he explained. He also stated that this would be used as a training matter in the future. He offered to reimburse me for the brake job I had gotten done at the local mechanic. Of course I agreed, so this Thursday evening I will meet with The Regional Manager Tony, to receive my reimbursement. I have a great respect for them now and their level of customer service to right a wrong. I didn't expect any of this but I am highly impressed. read more

At first, I was going to leave the car overnight but, the intake manager and his crew expedited the tire change and I was in and out before the close of business in under 30 minutes. I am writing regarding the Mavis Tire in Niagara Falls NY. I purchased four brand new tires from them and obviously wanted them mounted. I get a call from Brittany stating that I need a new battery, new front rotor, new back brake pads, rear converter and all new valve stems at $80 each. I don't understand why they are nosing around the rest of my vehicle when I just want brand new tires installed? When I told her not to do any of the "so called" repairs and just put the tires on, I was told I had to purchase the stems. I finally said never mind and I will come and get my vehicle and go elsewhere. She proceeded to tell me that they already took the balances out of my rims and my truck would be "wobbly". I insisted that they balance the tires the way I brought the truck to them!!!! Nothing but a rip off. I was purchasing tires for more than $800 and they want to sell me more things that I don't need. They have NO BUSINESS checking my vehicle over like they did and then telling me I need new this and that...again, they are a rip off!!! Brittany, whatever her position may be told me "you should open up your own shop" after I offered my opinion on the things she was saying. She is rude and unpleasant!!!! read more

Took my wife's suv to have a small nail in the tire tread removed on Monday. By Tuesday the supposedly repaired tire was down 15 lbs. I came back on Wednesday, and asked for it to be looked at. I was told that they were too busy, and asked if I could leave it. Approximately 2 hours later the young girl at the front desk called and told me the tire was beyond repair, and that I should replace both rear tires, or just consider just adding air to the leaking tire as necessary. These tires had only 21,000 miles on them and cost $220 each to replace. I took the car down the street to another tire service shop and asked if they could look at it. They immediately pulled the car in, and looked at the patched tire. I was informed that who ever did the repair completely ruined the tire, and that repairing a nail puncture in that location should have been a simple fix. My wife spoke to Kevin, the location manager on Thursday, and he said he would need to look at it again, before he could do anything. After 3 trips to Mavis, waiting outside on a freezing cold day for 1/2 hour (they won't let anyone wait inside), wasting my time & $26 for the botched repair, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I ended up buying 4 new tires at a competitor. My visit to Mavis ended up costing me $850 in all, just to repair a tire with a small nail in it! I've never felt more "ripped off" in my entire life, and I would seriously recommend everyone to avoid this location at all costs! Absolutely pathetic customer service!... read more

I've been taking my car here for the entire 5 years that I have lived in N.Y. I have always liked having my car serviced at this location as they have always been 110% professional. I recently took my car in to see if they had time to do an inspection and I didn't know that N.Y. had changed the window tint laws that began on January 1st of this year. I believe it was Chris that came out to explain to me that that the law had changed and my car would fail due to the window tint. I asked him if he could go ahead and inspect it for basic safety reasons and he said yes. 5 minutes later another employee that I have never encountered before came out and explain the same thing that Chris had explained. Only he proceeded to go into a tirade about how people are mad and that he doesn't make the laws. If I had actually protested or whined about it I could understand him saying this, but I hadn't given him a reason to go on a unprofessional tirade. He also stated that my front windshield barely passed inspection. I had already taken my 15% front windshield tint off several years ago since I couldn't see at night. The only tint that remains on the front windshield is factory tint which is inside the glass. I'm not sure if I'll be back to this location. read more

So my boyfriend got a flat he called triple a and they were towing it to mavis so he could get a tire. Now this was around 445 in the afternoon that this happend. Mavis closes at 6... so after my boyfriend called me and told he forgot his wallet and i would have to either drive 45 min to pay or i could pay with credit over the phone.. so i decided to call this location and give them the heads up that his car will be coming in.. the guy that answered the phone qas completly rude and told me that if he wasnt there in the next 10 min he wasnt getting serviced today. I said okay thats fine if it had to sit there till saturday we had no problem coming back to pick up. I then explained that i would have to pay over the phone with a credit card he then got short with me and said that he couldnt do it. My boyfriend then called that location and asked the same question and the guy was again extreamly rude and making my boyfriend feel like he didnt know what he was talking about and that no one called ahead to warn him a car just got a flat... needless to say we went down the street to firestone and they were so wonderful they let him know that 2 for his tires were bad and that he will need a full 4 set soon. We were able to get 4 new tires for 200 bucks and out the door in 30 min.. they closed at 6 as well and stayed to do this service. Sorry mavis we did tell you we would of drove back when it was done.
