I came in completely upset about my one tire being messed up and after getting an assessment and having everything explained to me by Lewis S. & Lewis R. I was in much better spirits. Amazing service, got me in and out, very personable and had the atmosphere and hospitality of a family owned shop. Definitely recommend to anyone in a pinch, they deserve promotions for sure! Explained everything very well! read more

Came in for 2 tires and an oil change. the manager got short with me when i declined all the upsell (red flag). I understood that this would take some time but when then SnapOn truck shows up the entire staff stopped working for an hour to shop and hang around and smoke cigarettes. They knew they had people waiting. they didn't care. They showed that they do not value their clients time at all. after being charged $400 for 2 tires and an oil change I brought this up to the person ringing me up and they just shrugged and said "I hear ya sorry". they then pulled my car around outside with the with the windows down while it was pouring rain. beyond disrespectful and unprofessional, read more

Busy AF - nice staff! I was stuck and needed my car quickly, so I bit the bullet. I loved all the "girl power" here - can I say that anymore?! Very helpful front desk person. I had my car back by 3:30 p.m., which was greatly appreciated! read more

this once is a complete rip off!!! I went in to get my rear brakes pads replaced. very simple thing to do and they wanted $190 which is expensive as it is. I go to get my hair cut. when I returned they told me I needed new rotors, new calipers and new brakes pads. cost of $850 plus. they said my calipers work no good and would not compress. I decided it to do it myself, it ended up costing me $50. I only needed brake pads. they tried to rip me off saying g I needed new everything, total scumbag move on their part. don't go to this place they are crooks!!!! read more

Oil change. I had a wonderful experience at Mavis. They went over and beyond to assist me. I commend Miley Smiley, Ryan and Louis for their professionalism and their genuiness to please their customers. read more

Very rude customer service!! We were looking to get some tires mounted, and the guy that was working was just rude and impatient.

If I could give less than one star. I would I was told by others not to patronize this location the service is terrible but I took a chance since I was in a tough situation with a nail in my tire on New Year's Eve. I ordered my tire for the day after New Year's Day since all was closed for the holiday. I made an appointment and came a half hour early. The cashier was polite and knowledgeable. She promised I would be in and out since the tire was there and it one single tire change. Little did I know but she left a few minutes after I arrived and none of the mechanics knew I was even there. I stood with my key for another twenty minutes now panicking because I had work at four. It's now three. I have had cars my whole life even worked in a family owned garage and I know how long a tire replacement takes. I just had four replaced brand new and the men who did them took 45 minutes with spin balance. So time is ticking and the lead mechanic finally comes into the office and I explained that the cashier knew I had work and I need it on asap that was met with flustered agitation and a barrage of I'm by myself ma'ams. I knew this wasn't going well he finally said you know what I will take it in and get it on. I was relieved but called work and alerted them I may be late. I watched through the glass and saw my car and the absolute sloth like timing this was taking. Up on the lift five minute later take the tire off walk away do something else. Take the tire off the rim. Again walk away do something else. I watched and watched and no one was touching it it's now 430. I finally had no choice but to go out to the garage and ask what is going on here. I was met with a bunch of looks and everyone saying who is working on this car !??? I stood outside and watched them finally spin balance the tire and put it on now close to five. As I watched I asked can I pay for this so I can leave immediately. I paid my bill and went back outside. Now I see the mechanic looking for the lead mechanic and showing him my lug nut. They then turn and say miss I'm sorry but the lug broke off in your tire. You'll be fine with four. Come back anytime tomorrow and we will fix it for you. I was livid. They dropped my car and drove it outside to me and I had to fly to work on four lugs an hour and 15 minutes late and I drive for a living. I'm here the next day to get this lug replaced. I cannot believe what comes next but I was actually asked to leave my car for the day because he didn't order the part and he didn't know I was coming. I was told come whenever you can we are so sorry. Needless to say I went crazy. Never in my life have I ever seen one tire change become a two day event. They miraculously found my lug in office and I'm still waiting The only saving grace here is the woman who works the counter who came out and sat next to me to ask what happened and tell me how sorry she was when she wasn't even here. I have been to dealers I have been to chain places I have been to neighborhood corner mechanics Ive seen it all but never this level of ineptness. Oh btw I'm still waiting 40 minutes in now. Update one hour 29 minutes later I have my car back read more

Decided to call to see how long it would be for an oil change last minute and was told it would be some time before I'd be helped and I was fully aware of this and didn't mind. I didn't have anything on the agenda that would require a time crunch so I headed on in after speaking with Yaya. Let's just say this will always be my favorite location to go too. I have an older vehicle and I'm 100% aware of issues that could be caused for concern and don't expect to be treated special but it doesn't matter the vehicle you have at Mavis Discount Tire, you will always feel important and special at the end of the process. I'd like to say thank you to Yaya and Miley for their amazing customer care, I needed it today more than Miley will ever know. During the entire process I was informed very well, I've never questioned anything from this location. I'd really like to say if you're an unhappy customer, it won't be because of Miley or Yaya as they make the situation better in my opinion. Some things are out of their control and shipping and receiving can be a pain in the end for anyone having to order specialized items or parts for their vehicles. The value and customer experience was met today with satisfaction and appreciate the love so much. read more

More than happy with the service at this Mavis (Chews Landing Road). Ron the manager was very accommodating and went out of his way to get my tire repaired. It was a pleasant experience with no pressure. The repair cost was well under what I was expecting. I would recommend this Mavis. Thanks Ron. Mark C. read more

My husband and I have been having both of our cars serviced here for 10 years now! The staff is beyond excellent, likely because the GM Jen runs this place right with customer satisfaction as top priority! Very knowledgeable no BS and they always got us the best prices! It is easy to get an appointment, they are open 7 days which is a bonus and the cars are always ready when promised with no issues with the quality of work! Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

I found my new tire shop. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. Thank you for the excellent service read more

Will never shop there again. They installed new tires but left my trunk open for several hours after putting my spare in the trunk. They drained my battery and handled the situation horribly. Ron was extremely rude. Emily was no help. Yaya was the only person who showed any empathy. I took my business elsewhere. Glad I did because I purchased the same tires somewhere else 80.00 cheaper. read more

Have been here on multiple occasions as I have terrible luck with tires. Jen was always great as well as two other male managers that were both so helpful (I forgot their names). Every time they try to get me in and out in a reasonable time. I will continue to come back to this location! read more

Nice crew of technicians, great service and a great location. Outstanding turnaround for service.

These guys do a great job! No pushing, just matter of fact advice on your options for your vehicle.

Oh no, another very inconsistent experience.. They said it was NORMAL maintenance to get struts replaced every 60k miles? I never heard of such thing... I feel like my daughter was taken advantage of. Not good. The work was done, and no problems. But I still feel, overcharged. read more

What a great experience I had there. Jennifer did such a great job getting my Pirelli's for my Lexus, I went back to get tires for my Expedition. The staff is knowledgeable about their product and no hard upsell. I recommend this location and will come back when appropriate. Thanks Jen!! read more

For a chain service mechanics, they're very honest and will show the problem in their shop. Unlike AAA service shop, they won't pad on or up sell you on the bill. read more

My wife went in for a slow leak in a tire. The leak was caused by a roofing nail in the tread, which I readily identified as the cause to my wife. This is normally a very easy fix. Not at this Mavis though, she was told they tried to plug it but it was still leaking, and it was caused by a screw and needed to replace the tire. Now I know they scammed her as it was clearly not a screw, either way that should have been able to be plugged. This is the second time she was told the same exact thing at this Mavis. I have had numerous leaks fixed with plugs in my car and my wife's, oddly this Mavis cannot fix leaks but has to replace your tire! Buyer beware!!!!!!! To many other places to go to get a legitimate repair for a slow leak; choose elsewhere. read more

This Mavis location is great. They are friendly, respectful and do not try to gouge you in pricing. Jenn is always so pleasant and willing to explain the intricacies of the work both needed and recommended! Last time I was here it was clear I needed tires but waited until it was time for me to do it. Today I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service that was provided by Rich! I would highly recommend this business to anyone in the area! read more

Called ahead to get an oil change tire rotation and brake check. They said I'd get a call with what they found. Realized 45 minutes before they close that I never received that call? When I called they couldn't find my keys or paperwork?! They had the car for 4 hours and obviously did nothing to the car!! They get back on the phone and said they found the keys with no explanation. They've lost our business. read more

Great customer service. Dan was helpful, professional and accommodating. Had a flat tire and needed replacement, my tires are expensive and hard to have in stock, Dan recommended what type and availability. Had a new tire within hours and at a lower then usual price. Highly recommend. read more

I'm disappointed with the service for the amount I paid. I bought new tires for over $400. Shortly after, I noticed that my steering wheel felt wobbly and the front seat felt funny. I took it to mavis, who test drove it and said nothing was wrong. I took it then to my local mechanic, who said the belt on the front right tire shifted and that my rim was bent. So I got my rim replaced, then I took it back to Mavis, still saying nothing was wrong with it. I then drove it to my dealer, who agreed with the mechanic that the belt was loose and the only way to fix it is getting new tires. Needless to say I will ask for my refund and not get my tires done there again!! read more

I've been to Mavis for an oil change on my old car and to get a flat patched on my new car. Both times the employees were all very friendly and professional and had my vehicle ready as quickly as possible (in the case of the flat, even less time than I had expected it to take). Reasonably priced services as well. I highly recommend them! read more

I've been going here for oil changes since they opened up. The location is super convenient for me and is right next to a dollar store, Shoprite, PetValu, and now a gym in case you want to run errands while you wait. You can also take a walk in Veterans Park across the street or chill at the Dunkin Donuts while you wait. I've had long waits and short waits at this place - you just have to pick a good time to go. They're always honest about what my car needs so I keep bringing it back even though I get free oil changes for life at the dealer - I just got tired driving up to Hamilton and getting the run around. The free air compressor outside has a tire pressure gauge on it to make it super easy to check your tires. They laugh at my cheesy jokes, and they usually put on a discount if one is available and I forgot to bring the coupon. No complaints here. read more

Just don't go to the Magnolia store, I had an appointment for 10:00 to have new tires installed finally called at 3:00 they said I was the last car to go in so I drove over there my car was still sitting where I left it it wasn't even close to being started on I got my keys and left. Poor service and so much for having an appointment. This store won't be in business long read more

Great customer service. I called on Sunday to see if I can get my oil change and tires rotated, the guy on the phone was nice and straightforward. He told me they were busy that day and the best time for me to come in without an appointment was today at 8AM. I came around 8:30, there was two customers ahead of me which I didn't mind. My son and I walked to ShopRite to get snacks and drinks. When we walked back around 9 my car was already getting worked on. We patiently sat in the waiting area. The guy rolled in one of my tires and kindly explained to me that my two front tires needed to be replaced due to worn out tracks. Of course, I agreed in getting it replaced since I haven't had any work done with my car since I got it in 2017. In about and hour my tires were rotated, aligned and replaced, oil was change, they checked my engine, fluids and breaks. Everything checked out good. Excellent price and great service. I will be returning for my routine car maintenance. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Horrendous customer service. Ordered tires, confirmed price match, brought in printed price from pep boys less then mile away. First I was told they couldn't price match because it's too low a price then after asking to speak with manager was told they can't price match promotions. Although I referenced website was told they can't do it. Ended up getting tires at pep boys. read more

Great customer service. I feel I got a great tire at a great price. Will be going back for tires on my other vehicles when needed.

I just wanted to have them take care of a high speed issue with braking. After over $1000 on new tires, new brakes, front-end alignment and wheel balance still have the same high speed skimmy. Took it back twice and still not resolved. When I ask if they tested on the highway that said no. read more
