I Contacted my Original service man and he initially was Responsive but after failed attempts to correct the issue he went dark on me. I am not familiar with anything Plumming especially in my residence that is why I call professionals to guide me through the repairs needed. I don't expect to have to research a piece of equipment to see if I think it would work for what was recommended to address the problem. I rely on the professional to explain this to me and then allow me to make the decisions based on their input and experience. The owner did the right thing and replaced the parts and offered to remove the part that I was not fully pleased with. There was originally a breakdown in communication with the original installer and a frustrating series of events after. I had a nasty clog backing things up and what turned out to be a small leak in one of my pipes. After a mild panic session, I called Star Rooter in Hayward. From the start, they were friendly and easy to talk to, which honestly helped calm me down. They came out, assessed everything, and let me know my line needed to be snaked. They explained what they were doing, didn't make me feel clueless, and got straight to work. The clog was cleared, and they were also able to fix the leak in my pipes the same visit. Huge relief. Now, plumbing work is not cheap -- and nobody is excited to pay for it -- but they got the job done efficiently and professionally. I'd rather pay once and have it handled correctly than deal with repeat issues. They mentioned there's a 10% discount if you say you found them on Yelp. I'm not 100% sure if it was applied to my final bill, but it's worth asking about when you call. Overall, solid experience.
