I have had two check-ins recently so writing for both. Both were drive-thru experience. The person…read morewho greeted me over the intercom was pleasant. My second experience has more detail than the first so I will focus on that. I had some specific customizations from my husband and my son as I was picking up our dinner. The person taking my order was able to match their customizations to the basket that included the majority of their selections and just add the remaining additions and subtractions from there. Both were specific burgers. I got a Reuben basket. For sides, we all had something different. My husband wanted crinkle fries, my son opted for onion rings and I opted for cheese curds with marinara. My husband and I both wanted root beer, the Culver's root beer is really tasty. My son asked for a root beer float. Everything was still hot and fresh when I got it home and we all enjoyed our meal.

We ended up waiting for 45 mins from when we placed our order :( we finally had to flag someone down to check on our order, and shortly after they brought out 4 melted concrete mixers :'( they forgot about us We love Culver's and concrete mixers, but we're definitely bummed about this experience. We are unsure if the "pull-to-the-side-and-wait" method is reliable after our recent experience.

The sauces were good and flavorful. The chile rellanos were soft which is not my preferred style (I like crispy), but they were great. They came with rice and beans and sour cream and guac and were smothered with a tortilla on the side. I really enjoyed the food. The staff were friendly. There is an interesting quirk to this place, I think it is the only place I have been to that has the drive-through on the wrong side. So, you pick the order up through your passenger window. I wasn't sure how it was going to work out, but it was fine. The person at the window stretches out to you with a tray and uses this method to hand your payment and food back and forth. I will say, part of the menu board was hard/impossible to read with the way they have it set up. I had to pull up, read the combos, then back up and enter the drive thru. Not a big deal, but this is one place that makes this place a little different than the rest. I would say that the strange drive thru configuration may impact you if you have a handicap and cannot lean far over your passenger seat to get your order and pay so keep that in mind if handicapped. Overall, it was great. I will definitely be back.

On my search for the best Pho in Denver, I visited Faifo Noodle House last year and got their Beef…read morePho with extra Beef Rib. The broth was deep and aromatic and the portion size, especially with the beef rib, was massive. Everything was so impressive that since that visit, this place has been on my regular rotation for pho. Beside Pho, they have a few other offerings, one of which is rather unique. For the more adventurous, Faifo offers a spicy beef pho. This is a dry-style pho serves with all the fixin' and a spicy sate style sauce that makes for an amazing meal on a hot day. It also comes with a bowl of pho broth for satisfying sips between bites. This is easily one of my favorite dish on the menu and a must try here. Beside that, I've also had their Bun Bo Hue, which is pretty dang tasty. The broth is very tasty, though not as funky or spicy as ones I've had in Vietnam. Nonetheless, it's a mighty tasty bowl and something to get for the colder days here in Denver. Both the Bo Kho and the Banh Canh are also very good as well, though not a must compared to other dishes on the menu. Overall, Faifo is a great Vietnamese restaurant. The value is also tremendous given the portion size. This is an easy 4/5 for me.

Wow, how fortunate are we to find this unicorn of a restaurant that serves bò kho and many…read moreVietnamese staples. Their bò kho definitely reminds me of my father's recipe, which is rich and not overly sweet. This aromatic Vietnamese beef stew is a fragrant broth infused with lemongrass, star anise, and spices. It's a bowl of distinct and complex flavor profile that balances savory, sweet, spicy notes, with a vibrant brick-red color from the annatto seeds. The cuts of beef shank, flank, and chuck were soft so you know they spent hours simmering to achieve this level of tenderness. The deep beef profile is highlighted when adding bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime juice to cut through the richness and carrots provided a natural sweetness to the savory broth. Bánh canh is a Vietnamese noodle soup featuring thick, chewy noodles made from tapioca flour, rice flour, or a mix, served in a flavorful broth with various toppings like pork, shrimp, crab, or fish cake. The broth is clean from the hours of simmering bones to create a savory, collagen-rich base. You can taste the freshness of the soup garnished with fresh cilantro, green onions, fried shallots, lime, and chili oil. Plus you get a boat load of proteins and garnishes - shrimp cake, imitation crab meat, shrimp, quail egg, mushroom, tapioca noodle, onion, cilantro and black pepper. We'll be back and try the bún bò huế and cá ri.
