    Cinnabon!

Aside from the riff raff that likes to hang around and the the robbery attempts this gas station is legit. Perfect location in the hood right across from waterworld. Probably the best gas station in the town of Federal Heights because they have the cheapest gas prices and the biggest selection of goods. This is always my stop before I head out to go fishing and camping. Great place to stock up on firewood, ice, snacks, gas and other miscellaneous items. We've won on quite a few scratchers at this location too. If you mosey on to the back of Maverick they have a Cinnabon back there with. I love to smell the freshly backed buns when I walk in. They also have a hot dogs, nachos, pizza, etc.

Store number 9 on my quest (having missed the well-hidden franchise on Arapahoe), my visit to this…read more7-11 marked a 'second wind' for your humble narrator. The polite staff, spacious parking lot and close proximity to my house made this a corner store to remember. Like every 7-11 I visited on this July 11th, I assessed this store on five qualities: Gas Price, Slurpee Flavors, Business Flow, Customer Service and Location. Although none of them were exceptional here, this store provided all five in ample quantity, making it a high point at the end of a long 90 minute journey. First of all, gas prices tied for the day's low, at $2.39 for a gallon of regular unleaded. There were plenty of pumps available in the front of the store, and additional customer parking aplenty. An RTD stop on 38th Ave right outside the store is a nice touch, too. Off to a good start. Today's Slurpee flavors at 38th and Alcott were: Banana, Pina Colada, Coke, Wild Cherry, Crystal Light Apple Mango, and the promotional Liquid Artillery flavor. "You've put it off this long," I told myself as I surveyed the whirring Slurpee machines, "you might as well get some soda." Adding to my Coke binge, I noted that the staff was quiet but kind, and smart enough to tape up signs and sample cups so customers would know which cups were the free ones. Way to look out for the patrons, guys! That's staying on top of things. The store wasn't too busy, and I was on my way out in a minute, onto the next final 7-11... The location isn't prime, and it is in direct competition with the nearby store at 38th and Irving (which I've frequented before), but otherwise, this visit proved to be one of the best of the day.

Still run by the same bunch of ne'er do wells that ran the last one it seems. I have no idea how this place is run in the daytime.. but in the early morning when you need to stop for a cup of coffee and/or to get your lunch and/or breakfast.. they are out of items. Perhaps they get restocked beginning of the month, but by the end there's nothing. Not even hotdog buns.. but the wieners are turning on the grill nonetheless.. slowly getting cooked to death because no one's wants a lone wiener.. (LoL).. I don't know if it's a racial thing.. don't want to speculate.. don't really care.. but the guys who're running the place at this time look as though they don't want to be there.. and pretend they don't understand you.. cuz I've seen and heard these guys actually have a conversation in English.. so what's up ..?? I put it to the owners/operators.. get your shit together and make that store something to be proud of..!! One plus.. they did allow a poor homeless guy come in out of the cold and get a cup of of their coffee.. which I truly can't complain since 7-11 coffee tends to be better than most places.. (I'm looking at you Dutch Brothers!!) But c'mon.. this is getting to be old.. let's evolve 7-11 on 64th .. for the better..!!
