Giles Property Inspection

A BIG thank you to Andrew for inspecting our son's home. After our son's realtor messed up on the…read moreinspection date deadline the seller denied a full home inspection. Seller only let the realtors inspector review the crawl space and attic. Realtors inspector said only needs a new sump pump so that was done. After closing on the house, we contacted Andrew with Giles Inspection to do a whole house inspection. He was so nice. Our son was moving from Indiana to Findlay Ohio and needed to be flexible on the date of inspection because we wanted to be there. He worked with our schedule to make sure we were able to make the appointment. Andrew talked us through the whole inspection, which was incredible. So patient with us. The big issue that he found was MOLD IN THE CRAWL SPACE. WHAT!! The realtors inspector DID NOT tell us about the mold but he was working for the realtor! We came to find out later that the person that worked for the realtor was not an inspector. Andrew is a real Inspector and a GOOD one. Andrew walked us through what needed to be done to remove the mold and even helped us understand how we needed to fix the mold issue. We called Andrew numerous times to ask questions and get even more advice, he never once treated us like we were bothering him. The price of his service was more than reasonable. Not only did he answer all our question and phone calls but he provided us with paper documentation of the work that he did and the lab results of tests that were ran on the mold. Andrew has our highest respect for his vast knowledge. Thank You again.

While he was purchasing, the cashier who was a young man (clearly presented on his badge was his name, and then male pronouns were present) so either Mr. Giles is totally illiterate or incredibly transphobic because he constantly went out of his way to refer to this young man as "her" even while the kind cashier let his daughter take a sticker or something each time saying "her" he'd say it louder. If this interaction shows you anything it's this company definitely doesn't have any compassion and most definitely doesn't put people first with staff/ownership acting like this.

To whom it may concern: (Cape Coral, Fl)…read more I'd like to share my experience with Jarvis Property Restoration and more specifically, Kevin Rice and Ryan Perry. I am a homeowner and have lived in SW Florida for 7 years. Like any homeowner, there is always something that needs to be done or a possible disaster/water line leak in your attic. (Ugh) I have tried company after company and cannot come close to finding the craftsmanship or work ethic I am use to, growing up in Michigan. It is beyond frustrating waiting for Florida contractors to answer a call, return a call or have only 1 of 10 actually show up for a scheduled job. (And the one who actually showed, you wish hadn't!!!!) I met with Kevin Rice and was immediately impressed with his professionalism, promptness and kindness. This gentleman was always on time, answered every phone call, responded to any e-mail and was so unbelievably patient, as I battled my "clown of an insurance adjuster". I was also blessed with the impeccable workmanship of Ryan Perry. This gentleman always shows up to work on time, always seemed to be in a wonderful mood and there are no words to describe how he transformed my DISASTER of a house, back to the BEAUTIFUL HOME I once had. Actually, Ryan made my home more beautiful than I could have ever imagined!!!! These gentleman went ABOVE AND BEYOND any expectation I had. All my Florida friends and neighbors (I'm not exaggerating) have had the same terrible experiences as I did, when it comes to Florida contractors!!! I am delighted that I can now share the amazing experience I had with Jarvis (Kevin and Ryan). A simple "Thank You" doesn't seem like enough. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

This caused some misunderstanding but thanks to Mr. Jarvis himself, all problems were successfully resolved. Jarvis Restoration removed cabinets, dishwasher, drywall, asbestos and afterward replaced everything in a thorough professional manner. I want to thank Mr. Jarvis and Jarvis Restoration for their first-rate work.

Having read the prior review, I can only assume there is a new owner. Because our experience was…read moreexcellent. Our finished and carpeted basement flooded with rainfall coming up through the drain tiles in the last big storm. Javier and his team came out to clean the damage. The basement is divided into 4 rooms and there is a lot of heavy furniture in it. They moved everything, cleaned thoroughly, including closets, stairs and wool rugs and left the entire lower level not only clean from the storm damage, but cleaner than it has been in years. They were considerate, efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!!

Servicemaster literally came to my house to take a crap in our toilet and deliver four rugs that…read morewere never cleaned. They took our rugs that were exposed to black mold and airborne particles from a sewage/plumbing disaster and had the audacity to return dirty, filthy uncleaned rugs that dumped sand and dirt onto our newly cleaned floors. All they did was wrap them in paper to look like they were cleaned! On top of that, their guys are always smoking cigarettes so everything that is "restored" and "cleaned" comes with a nice stench of smoke. Thank you, Servicemaster. This is the 5th issue we have had with you due to our sewage/plumbing disaster. Let's not forget the time you wanted to charge almost $500 to houseclean the interior of our 1,500 square foot house. I came home to an 18 year old boy with one dirty, purple rag and zero cleaning supplies attempting to "restore" and "clean" one of our bathrooms with warm water. I literally laughed and sent him home and had management call a real housekeeping service. I asked him, "Have you ever cleaned a house before?" He said, "No, the housekeeper didn't show up, I usually steam clean carpets.". Exactly. Am I in the Twilight Zone? Servicemaster, you are the worst company I have ever dealt with. Lastly, the owner's level of arrogance and rudeness is above and beyond. Obviously, he must be a trust fund baby and not be in need of work or there is a monopoly in the restoration field because he is anti-customer service and anti-respect on top of their shoddy work and unprofessionalism. Servicedisaster is more like it.
