It definitely felt like being in Charlie and the Chocolate factory when visiting here. There's so many options for chocolates and candy. I got the Dubai chocolate which was absolutely delicious! There's also a variety of fun souvenirs you can get. Otherwise I loved the options and I'll have to come back again in the future!

This is a great find while visiting family for the Holidays and it was right across the street from the hotel we were staying at. My sis is a great chocolate fiend so we had to stop by to get some snacks. Chicklets, Mambas, and a whole lot of nostalgia. My mom made sure we got a lot of items to bring back. It was nice to see lunchboxes, gourmet chocolate treats, and some interesting plushies in the store. The ambiance was laid back and we shopped without issue. I got some white chocolate dipped pretzel sticks and dark and milk chocolate sea salt caramel truffles. SO GOOD!

He thought I said I needed some hiking shoes but, realized I was talking about Hi Chews when we got to the candy store, lol!

One of my favorite candy stores! Not only does it have old time favorites and newer candies -- they also have hand-dipped strawberries and serve scoops of ice cream. It's in such a convenient location along the Maumee River. Perfect for a candy or ice cream out stop while strolling along the river.

This place is a trip down memory lane. I was in town for a conference and just noticed the sign on a whim. I am so glad I did. This place has cool nostalgic candy and puzzles and chocolate covered everything. There was vintage sodas and treats i thought i would never see again. The ice cream was a pleasant surprise. The signage didn't mention ice cream. I absolutely love ice cream and today was no exception. The gentleman employee was very kind and welcoming. Now to figure out if I have time to double back before we leave. If you find yourself in Toledo, definitely try this place out.

What a great new find. I went for ice cream and found they have fantastic gelato. Price was right as well. Such a nice clean shop, I will return on my next trip to PERRYSBURG!! Thanks

While the chocolate looks very delicious and artsy, I did not particularly enjoy the Gelato…read moreoptions. There were a handful of options to go with, but out of the three I tasted: apple, orange, and vanilla, they all had a grainy texture to it. Now usually, Gelato is not as creamy as ice cream, and it is served at a higher temperature than its cousin, in order to maintain that famous elasticity. But this Gelato was a bit flaky/grainy. I imagine it had to do with the tub maybe having melted with the constant opening and closing of the glass, or maybe or it was turned to fast, but it had a sort of ice crystal flake taste/texture to it. The slow-churning technique that makes the majority of difference from Gelato to ice cream just maybe didn't reach the level I was used to (granted I had lived a year in Italy). But unfortunately, the Gelato felt more like ice cream, while the rich flavoring and vibrant coloration was lacking. This is my first time there, and perhaps I just happened to turn up on a slow or bad day. Now, I did not have a chance to get any of the chocolates, but from their looks, I could see myself picking a few up. The gentleman who served us was extremely kind and helpful, and I did feel welcomed. But this review should be acknowledged purely as a reflection on my opinion of the Gelato. It was not horrible, but it left much to be desired. That said, I would not be opposed to swinging by another time I feel the sweet escape. I'll probably venture into the key lime truffle.

I had high expectations. A minority owned business check. Especially a woman owned business check…read more Now they're on doordash, check. Checked all my boxes. So we ordered a little bit of everything. We got the chicken salad that I heard was really good. We got the gumbo which was the soup of the week during Mardi Gras time. I got some hot tea. I got some pound cake and some sweet potato pie. Now usually I don't order sweet potato pie from places because I'm almost always disappointed unless it's truly homemade like my grandma used to make. I have to say I was let down by this one. I kept trying to taste more of it to get some more flavor from it but it just was okay. I didn't finish the one slice that I got. The pound cake was okay again. My man loves chicken salad and they give you a nice Hefty portion here but he said it was way too many onions in there and he only ate maybe four or five bites before putting it in the fridge which is where it still is right now. The seafood gumbo was again average. My man says no comment lol but we go to New Orleans a few times a year just to eat. So this was a letdown for me. I didn't have anything great. I heard awesome things about this place. Maybe I'll come back and try the cookies but the desserts I tried here didn't do it for me and I wouldn't go out of my way for them.
