Road to Hana tour with Fi
    Shani F.

We did the road to Hana private tour. Our guide Fi was fantastic. She is super personable and full of information. Everyone had a good time and have talked about it all day today. This was our second time using this company and I highly recommend them.

This tour of The Road to Hana was amazing the best I've been. Our tour guide Keenan was the best, he was so knowledgeable of the Island and very friendly as well. My family had such a great time and this tour made our vacation extra special. If you are going to stay anywhere on the island of Maui, I highly recommended this tour.

We decided to have Maui's Private Guide take us on the Road to Hana for the day. It was only 3 of us and Fi was our driver and guide. There had been a lot of rain the previous day and although very beautiful, we were not able to swim or get very close to the waterfalls. They are spectacular site nonetheless. The trip started at the infamous Safeway at about 8 AM and we headed towards Hana. The trip is really about just that...the trip...the adventure rather than one or two single waterfalls. Fi was a wonderful guide and host and knew a lot about the area and local culture. Our many stops took us through the lush bamboo forest, Aunty Sandy's Famous Banana Bread, a recent lava flow (1500 yrs old), an awesome trek inside a lava tube, delicious lunch at one of many local food trucks, the infamous black sand beach and much more. It is definitely worth it not to drive yourself. This will allow more time to look at all the beauty the island has to offer without worrying about keeping your eyes on the road. Plus, Fi knows the ins and outs of this road, all of the locals and awesome insights. If you head out to Maui and want to check out the road to Hana, definitely give these folks a call!

Bryan is the owner. Maui island tour, Road to Hana and Lanai excursion private tours. Fi and Bryan were our tour guides. Thank you both for making each tour a super special experience. We traveled to garden center, my nephew found on a google. I was able to keep my reservation at Momma's Fish House while on the road to Hana. Bryan made our last day an amazing day on Lanai, pick up 0600, caught a ferry and had rented a Jeep took us to Lanai cat sanctuary, ship wreck beach, cafe lunch and returned by ferry to van and our luggage and took us to the airport. Nothing was impossible. Truly custom private tours tailored to my family's needs. Three happy people, safe and well cared for. Totally satisfied and highly recommended Maui Private Guide. Reasonably priced and worth every penny!!! Both Bryan and Fi are truly a pleasure and both well versed in Hawaiian history and lore. Just call Bryan to discuss your up coming trip, I know you will be put at ease. He's gonna take real good care of you. Everything will go so smoothly.

Brian was extremely knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture and history. He was very friendly and tailored the tour specific to our interests. We not only got to see the beautiful points of interest during the tour, but learned so much about the history of the area. We would HIGHLY recommend this tour.

Big shoutout to the best Maui tour guide ever, Keenan!! Mahalo

We joined two other couples for a wonderful wine tasting paired with small bites. The table for 8 is in the old jail building, offering an intimate experience in a relaxed atmosphere. We continued our wine tasting by going to the main building where we had wo different flights of wine -- one of sparkling wine and one of robust reds. We also chatted with a lovely couple who had just gotten married, and we helped them celebrate by gifting them a glass of bubbly and two bottles to take with them. The overall service was wonderful, and I would gladly go again.

The grounds are beautiful with several different seating areas surrounded by large mature trees. It was a cool and slightly cloudy day when we were there. It was a nice break from the hot muggy climate in the Kaanapali area. We were seated at one of those high tables on an outside patio area. Then, you order your wine or snacks at the tasting counter. Patio seating areas allow you to take in the lovely ambience of the property. I was nicely surprised to find some very good reds. I liked their 2022 GSM the best. Mele, a red blend was also good, a lighter red than the GSM. We later found Mele in local markets, making it an easy choice of a bottle of wine to buy and take back to enjoy at our hotel. Maui Wine will definitely be on my list for the next time we return to Maui.

We had visited once before back in 2012 and remembered it being a great experience, and it's nice to see how much the farm has upgraded since then. They offer goat and cheese tours that you can sign up for online. This time, we just wandered around the grounds and relaxed while watching the goats and baby kids play in their pen. We also bought a $10 bucket of hay to feed the goats off to the side. We were told they were under a year old, though they were already pretty much adult-sized! They were extremely enthusiastic about the hay, and the bucket was gone in no time. It was such a fun and wholesome experience, for both me and the goats. Definitely a cute stop, and I hope to come back next time and sign up for one of the tours next time in Maui.

We didn't reserve a tour ahead of time, and the next one was not for over an hour, so we decided to just walk around the grounds on our own. We started with the cheese tasting. They offer 2 different options, and we chose the mixed. Between 2 of us, it was plenty. I would say even 3 people could share. We enjoyed most of the cheeses - a few were definitely unique. They have a patio area to sit at, and they just call your name when your tasting is ready. They give you information with the cheeses, so you know what you are trying. The shop had a nice assortment of other gifts, as well as the truffles. The truffles were definitely my favorite. You can just get one if you want, or you can pick out several to make a box to take home. We walked around and saw the area where the babies/young goats played on the surfboards, which is super cute. The adults are all over in different areas, and you will even see them on the roofs of different buildings. The tour would have been nice to learn some history and information, but it is still really nice to go without the tour. It was a fun and peaceful little experience.

I took my parents for their 44th Anniversary and we all love outdoorsy activities so I knew we'd all enjoy this! We were asked to arrive at 10:30 am for the tour and it lasted until 1-1:30 pm. Arrive with good walking shoes, SPF, light sweater and hat (it can get either a little chilly or hot from the direct sunlight), and well hydrated if possible. We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree. Last course of dessert was the O'o Freshly Brewed Coffee with Milk and Simple Syrup with a Dessert Platter of Fresh sliced Pineapple, Tangerine and Apple with Homemade Chocolate Truffles. The meal left us full and nourished! What a wonderful anniversary gift to give my parents. We truly enjoyed it and even made some new friends, both local and visiting.

The catamaran was pretty sweet, with some really comfy bean bags overlooking the edge out to the ocean. While we did occasionally get splashed in this area, it was worth the unobstructed view of the sunset and the breeze in my hair. The crew was especially sweet and treated all of us like absolute royalty. A note to those who are prone to motion sickness: do not try to be brave and only wear sea bands thinking you'll be okay. Take your Dramamine an hour before you board the catamaran. While the first half of our dinner cruise was fine with my motion sickness, the second half of the trip left me feeling really queasy around dinner service time. This made me very sad. This was no fault of the crew, and 100% my fault for thinking I could tough it out. If you are ill-prepared, the crew has ginger ale, club soda and ginger chews to help. Speaking of dinner, the few bites I was able to eat on our first trip were fantastic: a full dinner buffet prepared by Cafe Jai. The salmon was perfectly tender, as was the short rib. The caesar salad was just the right amount of tangy (and the extra dressing was really great on the salmon as well.) I'm not sure what kind of sauce was on the crispy seasoned potatoes but they were absolutely delightful. And of course, the crown on top of a delicious meal was the mini brownie cup we were served for dessert before we wrapped up the trip. Our second trip (where I was prepared with some Dramamine) was a memorial for our grandparents, where we released their cremains at sea with eco-urns. I must say that the crew handled everything wonderfully. We had the full bar, another beautiful buffet spread including some delicious crispy chicken, a pesto pasta salad, pulled beef sliders, and rolls. After we said our emotional goodbyes, we were given rose petals to release into the ocean. We even received certificates after the trip that gave us the coordinates of where my grandparents cremains were released. I seriously cannot thank Sea Maui enough for giving my family a truly memorable experience on our trip to Maui. They made our trip so special. A million thanks for the kindness!

The Irish gentleman who pre-briefed us before leaving for the tour had a great sense of humor and set the tone for our excursion. Once aboard, the Captain and his crew were polite, cordial, fun loving and efficient. We saw many, many whales and at least 12 displays of whales big and small leaping out of the water. The hour long snorkeling provided the passengers with a myriad of tropical fish and sea turtles. We even had one try to climb the ladder into the boat. The fees for the excursion were fair and we definitely got our moneys worth for all we saw and participated in. I highly recommend The Sea Maui if you are looking for a great experience for you and your family or tour group.
