Everything was great! Experience was amazing Justin aka Jay was a great guide. His energy made the entire trip amazing, he kept it interesting on and off the trails. Will definitely be doing this again our next trip back to Hawaii.

My friend Tori and I- joined Justin for the road to Hana tour and we had a BLAST. Justin is so personable and knowledgeable as someone who grew up local. We adored him and the views, food and education were elite. thank you Justin!!!!

Best day ever!! Thanks to Christine, my mom and I had an amazing day on the Road To Hana tour. The ride and views were amazing but it's Christine that made it an extra wonderful experience. Her knowledge of the Islands, culture, history and people made our day extra special! We learned so much in a really fun way, this day will be remembered for years. We did the trip on the 1st after we arrived and now we know where we want to go back to. We know more of what is where and how to make the best of the rest of our trip. Thank you Dynamic Tours for providing us with such an amazing person today. We loved Christine and highly recommend her to everyone!

Marge: I knew you had your hands full with the babies so I baked you some banana bread. Apu: Oh, hallelujah. Our problems are solved. We have banana bread. Marge: Well, you don't have to be sarcastic. Manjula: Oh, look who's here. The family with one baby. How do you manage? Homer: Marge, they've turned into jerks. Apu: I'm very sorry. We've been rude. Can I offer you something to drink? Homer and Marge: No, thanks. Manjula: Apu, they're doing it again. Apu: Okay, break it up. Marge: Maybe you two should get a nanny. Apu: Yes, and what would I pay her with, banana bread? Sorry, sorry. It's just we haven't slept in days and we're running out of money and banana bread! What the hell were you thinking? Banana bread. I apologize. I apologize again. As a token of forgiveness, please take this baby.

My family is in town for a long weekend because I'm running the Maui Oceanfront Half. Several friends recommended a Road to Hana tour. I chose Dynamic Tours because they hire local guides. We spent the most amazing day with Justin and 8 other guests. The Road to Hana is a winding but beautiful trip through rainforest and past coastline. You'll see whales, surfers, sea turtles, wild chickens. You'll experience Aunt Sandy's famous banana bread, vegan coconut milk ice cream, and take the best photos. Justin is the man: he is knowledgeable, funny, and down to earth. He will keep you safe but not bored through talking story and his soundtrack of Hawaiian reggae. I skipped the Dramanine but didn't skimp on Justin's tip.

My wife and I took The Road to Hana tour. The sights and views were amazing!! Our tour guide Charleston Mahiai Jr. made the trip even better. He was very knowledgeable of the road, culture, history, and entire island. Oh and very funny too! Thanks Charleston! -Paul & Yesi Barela

What a fun and amazing tour! This was me and my husband's first time going through the road to Hana, and I have to say it was a unique and thrilling experience. We had a small group of great fellow passengers, and our tour guide Rudy was the absolute best (I dubbed him Captain Rudy). He kept everyone informed, entertained and safe. Give that man a raise! He absolutely MADE the tour worth it. It did not seem like 10 hours because of all the stunning sights and activities. Pretty much everything that you needed was included in the tour, including a small breakfast, lunch, water and snacks as well as hotel pick up and drop off. I can't recommend this tour enough! And don't forget to ask for Rudy when you book!

We had our trip booked with Aloha eco tours but the lady canceled on us last minute. We quickly boooked with Dynamic Tours and it was all meant to be. Our driver was KAILI, and he truly made this tour 10x better. He's AWESOME. Funny, great personally, shares so much of his knowledge of the tour and the island itself. Great at communicating with us. Lovely tour! He took beautiful pictures of my partner and I. I would definitely recommend you requesting your tour with Kaili. He goes above and beyond! Give this man a raise! Well deserved.

Maui tip: DO NOT DO ROAD TO HANA ON YOUR OWN!! Book Dynamic Tours!!! Charleston was an EXCELLENT tour guide. He not only was a great driver, but he was also very knowledgeable with the island and taught us so much of its history, culture, and nature. He knew every plant and waterfall at every turn. He told us when to get our cameras ready (although the cameras don't do the views justice!) Even though the tour takes the whole day, it wasn't miserable at all because Charleston was fun. He also picked us up from our hotel, which was the furthest from everyone else in the group, so we appreciated that! After picking everyone up, we stopped at Safeway (with Starbucks inside) before taking off on the tour. This gave us an opportunity to get any food or necessities. Breakfast and lunch were provided by the tour too. Throughout the tour there were plenty of restroom stops and things to see. We were given ample time to enjoy swimming at the waterfalls and seeing the black sand beach and more. This tour gave us the opportunity to see and experience parts of the island I wouldn't have known about. If you plan to do Road to Hana, this tour is the way to go!!! Otherwise you'd be too occupied with focusing on the crazy road and worrying about parking that you wouldn't notice or learn anything about what you're driving through. TIP: Be prepared! Bring water shoes and an extra set of clothes!

We are just finishing a Road to Hana Tour with Justin as our guide. And all I can say is Wow! . Definitely a two thumbs up experience in Maui!! Justin was a fabulous guide. His sheer happiness and love of Maui comes shining through. He is from Maui and knows this island like the back of his hand. We stopped at a local farm for fresh produce, shopped at a local artisan's store for Hawaiian jewelry, stopped for banana nut bread and coconut ice cream, swam and dove into waterfalls and had an hour enjoying Black Sand beach. Priceless experience!! Thank you Justin and Dynamic Tours.

As a young couple visiting Maui for the first time, I was a bit weary about spending 13 hours in a van all day. I am SO glad that I did!! It was the BEST part of our Maui trip. My fiancé and I still talk about it. This is only one of 2 tours that go ALL THE WAY around Maui, past Hana. The other side is a desert and it's beautiful! Our tour guide, Kristie, was the best! She was so informative and would stop to have us eat a flower or get a better view of a waterfall. Highly recommend this!

Just Do It! First rate service and tour of Road to Hana! We…read morewere picked up promptly at our resort and our Driver/ Tour guide Tom was personable, fun and extremely knowledgeable about the islands history and the people of Maui. Food and drink were provided which was better than expected and plenty of it, along with plenty of bathroom breaks. The van was comfortable and limited to 8 guests and we had a good group. We were so glad we didn't drive it ourselves because Tom showed us sooooooo many things we would have driven right by. If you're not sure about taking the tour or driving yourself...do yourself a favor and take the tour and enjoy the Road to Hana!!!

In response to the owners lies - (Original reviews in…read morephotos. Yelp said I reached my character limit capacity. Added more photos for our proof). There was no one else on the tour except one couple, whom we had no issues with. The 7 people on the bus was my family of 5 and one couple. 1. There was a hiccup in your booking system, you allowed us to book a tour because you did not close your online reservation window. If you were sold out why did the website allow us to make a reservation? Hence the "hiccup". After we booked the tour, we did move a flight around so this person could make the tour that we had a confirmation email for. Very unprofessional to email the next morning saying you were sold out AFTER we made the booking. Yes we did book late but if you were sold out you shouldn't have allowed us to make the booking plain and simple. We called multiple times because we were asking about pick up arrangements and were told to keep calling back to see when/if the tour filled up, because only then would they be able to tell us what pick up rotation we would be in. I wanted to know what hotel would be the first pick up, etc. I didn't care that our two parties were not on the same bus, which was why I didn't mention it in the booking. 2. Since you claim to have the proof that he wasnt speeding, why dont you show it? It absolutely does corroborate with the Google maps picture. I did move the camera to get a video of how bumpy the bus was DUE TO HOW FAST THE DRIVER WAS SPEEDING! But I'll include another video straight ahead where you can see how fast he flies past the mountain. As for your lies, you need to come up with better ones. I asked for a Spanish translator due to the fact only ONE person in our party spoke Spanish. The fact that you guys said we were speaking Spanish all day is hilarious because NO ONE IN OUR PARTY SPEAKS SPANISH except my mother in law, who didn't speak the whole trip. Let's add more proof that you guys are racist - when the driver picked us up II asked about the Spanish ear piece translator before my mother in law was there. The driver said no, he said I speak a little Spanish so I will do my best to speak to help you guys out. 5 minutes later he came up to my husband and started speaking Spanish. My husband told the driver he speaks ENGLISH. Louie said oh you were quiet miguel so i figured you were the spanish speaker. we were asking about translation for my mother in law. I'll also add he made multiple claims about how Latinas were "so violent" and people had to watch out for us. let's add to the review that not only are you guys liars, you are racist liars. Your tour driver is a liar, we were all sleeping on the drive back due to how sick/tired we were. Your tour driver is clearly lying to cover his mistakes. 3. We didn't ask the tour driver for ONE illegal thing AT ALL. Due to the fact he was an arrested convict (which you can find proof of by googling it) he made illegal stops on his own! He even mentioned how the rangers loved him and when HE chose to make the illegal stop in front of the waterfalls, the ranger allowed it bc they told him make it quick. We appreciate the opportunity but never asked him for one illegal stop. 4. I never said we missed anything, I said I couldn't help but wonder if we missed something. Since you want to be so detailed, we actually DID miss Ohe'o Gulch / Seven Sacred Pools (D) Charles Lindbergh's Grave / Palapala Hoomau Church Kipahulu scenic ocean views, St. Joseph Church Kaupo Ranchlands / Haleakala backside views / Maui's Last Lava Flows (D) Maui's Upcountry / Kula (S) 6. The entire tour WAS my family. Let me also add one thing I forgot to the review someone in your company gave our tour guide my number and he texted me twice asking me for his tip which was EXTREMELY unprofessional. This is an extreme safety violation. He unprofessionally texted me "This ***** Just making sure I did venmo right.. If sent tip, I have not recieved..." at 7:27pm. And "If you could let me know.." at 7:56pm. For my safety, I should NEVER have received text asking about a TIP! Even if he was wondering about the tip because he wasn't used to electronics, you still should never text someones personal cell phone number. Since he did mention multiple times that he was a liability I was scared he was going to show up to our hotel since he knew my number, hotel location, etc. Where is the response to the bulk of my review??? Do you have an explanation for how we know all this information about him being fired from his last tour job? How the current owner was only allowing him to drive as a fill in driver as a favor? Why was he a liability? Bc he speeds and risks the lives of passengers? In one of my videos I do have him talking about the story of how his dad gave him money and guns to illegally transport. As I have over 500 videos from this tour, you guys are lucky I don't want to go through and find the hard proof I have. Where is your hard proof?

My wife, Kari, broke her foot 2 days ago so we modified our excursions and eliminated hiking to attractions. Kellen quickly came up with some alternatives and explained/described them perfectly. Kellen's knowledge of the area, the plants, the trees, and the sights were full of insight and knowledge that only a local would have! We throughly enjoyed it. His driving was superb, professional, and cautious (complete with short horn honks on the countless 1 lane blind turns). We enjoyed the small independent farms, stands, and choices for lunch too. As a side note, Kellen's personal relationship with those owners opened the door to Kari being able to use a non-public restroom. We truly appreciated your assistance helping Kari to the lookouts, negotiating the roadsides, and especially to the swim under a waterfall (Kellen knew the easiest to access and really made getting to it possible for Kari). We hope others utilize this personalized service. -JoeandKari

His driving was calm, smooth, and confident, and we felt completely safe the entire time getting there and back. He knew exactly where to stop, paced the day perfectly, and took us to some truly stunning spots. It rained most of the day for us, which is just part of being in the rainforest, but it didn't take away from the experience at all. Genaro kept the energy positive, fun, and engaging throughout the long day. He's very personable and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. The answer was Yes, one can change into swimsuits during lunch before the black sand beach visit and then change out of them at a stop after the waterfall stop to be dry for the ride back to the hotels. A few days before our tour I received an email confirmation that included other useful information, such as bring along swimwear, towels, water shoes and a light jacket for the air conditioned van. I had not considered the A/C and I'm always cold, so that is a very welcome heads-up. On the day of our tour we received texts that the driver was on his way. Pretty close to the scheduled meeting time the van pulled up to our resort. The van was spacious with huge windows. Our tour was full with all 12 passenger seats occupied. Our driver/guide was Travis. He was born and raised in Hana and was a wealth of knowledge about Hana, Maui, and Hawaii. He seemed to be related to all the locals he passed on the road. There was not dull moment. Among the stops along the way were Maui Tropical Plantation for breakfast, Auntie Sandy's Banana Bread stand for those that wished to purchase, Wai'anapanapa State Park (black sand beach, also with a lava tube and a blow hole), Pua'a Ka'a State Wayside Park (usually calm enough to swim but the falls were roaring due to rain earlier in the day), and Ho'okipa Beach with turtles on the beach. Travis was an excellent driver and guide. We got great value from the cost of the excursion. One minor thing did bother us. We are Jewish and were uncomfortable during the praising Jesus sing-along. Hawaii Island Volcano Adventure Tour (from Hilo)…read more The entire place is a delight to the senses - and Dexter, the world's greatest tour guide, gives you the best day ever! The day I spent touring the area in and around Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park was probably the greatest guided tour experience of my life! Of course, the beauty, majesty, and power of this unique place creates one of the most amazing natural galleries of art and science on earth. But what made my full day of adventure truly exceptional was having Dexter for our bus driver and tour guide. He put his whole heart into giving us the most personal and delightful experience we could possibly have - for a full 9 hours! His knowledge and passion for the land, history, ecology, wildlife, and people of the Big Island of Hawai'i radiated through his ability to identify and describe myriad points of interest in a manner that was clear, steady, engaging, informative, fun, and personal without ever becoming overbearing, monotonous, or canned. He answered questions with gentle unassuming honesty, shared personal perspectives without being intrusive, and made me feel as if he was personally offering me the very best experience of Hawai'i - as if I was an old friend and he was catching me up on all I need to know and love about this Pacific island hotspot. Thank you for masterfully and hospitably wrapping a week's worth of adventure, wonder, learning, and laughter into one of the best days I've experienced in all my fifty years on this planet! Mahalo and Aloha, Dexter - you're the best!!!

My wife and I recently booked a Pearl Harbor tour with Polynesian Adventure Tours, and while there…read morewere definitely some positives, the overall experience left us feeling rushed and wanting more--especially given the cost. The Highlight -- Leo the Tour Guide The best part of the entire day was our driver and guide, Leo. He was kind, informative, and thoughtful from start to finish. You could tell he genuinely cared about the guests and took pride in sharing the history and making the ride enjoyable. He truly set the tone in a positive way, and he deserves recognition for that. The Biggest Issue -- Time (or lack of it) The main problem with this tour is simple: everything felt rushed. We arrived at Pearl Harbor National Memorial around 8:25 AM and immediately started moving. By 8:27, we were already trying to quickly go through the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park. We barely had time to walk the submarine itself and didn't have any time to explore the museum building before needing to head across the complex for our 9:15 AM call time for the USS Arizona Memorial. Even though we were on time, we were initially placed on standby. After realizing we might miss our 10:40 AM bus return, we had to speak up just to get onto the correct launch. Because of that, we missed the 20-minute documentary that plays before visiting the memorial--which is a pretty important part of the experience. The memorial itself was meaningful, but the visit is only about 15 minutes, which felt surprisingly short given the significance. Ford Island & Missouri -- Not Enough Time Next, we headed to Ford Island, where we had lunch and visited the aviation hangars. These exhibits were good, but again, time was limited. Guided tours weren't clearly explained, and it felt like if you joined one, you'd miss seeing other areas entirely. The biggest disappointment for me was the USS Missouri. This was the main attraction I had been looking forward to my entire life. I could have easily spent half a day exploring the ship--but instead, we were rushed through it. I didn't get to fully experience the areas I wanted, missed out on exhibits, and didn't even have time to properly explore or enjoy the ship at my own pace. On top of that: We weren't informed ahead of time that the front turrets were under restoration It started pouring rain toward the end of our visit, and we got soaked The rushed schedule meant we didn't even have time to browse shops or grab anything onboard It turned what should have been the highlight of the day into the biggest letdown. Suggested Improvement One major area for improvement: transportation logistics. There were multiple hotel drop-offs at the end of the day, which took about 1 hour and 40 minutes before we even reached our stop. When you factor in pickup time as well, that's easily 2.5-3 hours of the day spent just driving. If the company reduced the number of stops to 2-3 max, they could significantly cut down travel time and give guests more time at the actual sites, which is what everyone is really there for. Final Thoughts This tour has potential, and Leo was outstanding--but the overall structure made the experience feel rushed and, at times, stressful. If you: Want to take your time Are a history buff or military enthusiast Or want to fully experience each site ...I would honestly recommend visiting Pearl Harbor on your own. You'll save money (around $500 for two people in our case) and have the freedom to explore at your own pace. Great guide, but the schedule needs serious improvement. - Dr. Rick

We went into a lava tube, saw a blow hole off of a black sand beach, jumped into a water pool just underneath a waterfall, hiked into a bamboo Forrest, saw the grave of Charles Lindbergh, and many many breathtaking views. I can't say enough about how "once in a lifetime " this tour was! I highly recommend taking the opportunity to explore all that the island has to offer with Holo Holo Maui private tours. Oh, I almost forgot! We were in a great Ford Bronco with convertible top!!
