Honestly, I was a little upset after my stop at Maui Wowi. I am obviously a tourist in Plymouth, and was unsure if this shack was a joint or small business owned by a family. Whatever the case, they are definitely slacking. There is a sign saying that their ingredients are "all natural" which I have no freaking clue what this means. To make my smoothie, the girl literally took some ice and a big ladle of orange gloop from a counter fridge and blended it together. And then even worse, to mask the fact that they are essentially serving me liquid sugar with absolutely no real ingredients, she puts an umbrella to make the drink more festive. I don't know if fresh fruits are grown in Massachusetts, but hopefully Maui Wowi decides to stop taking shortcuts. read more

The owner (Rich I believe?) opened this franchise branch right nex to the Govenor Brandford. C and I were on our way to get her Icecream. I wasn't in the mood, but still wanted something cold, so we stopped in on a whim. They were playing Jimmy Buffett, and the two people in the store seemed to be in a good mood, so I ordered up a smoothie. I noticed a half (maybe whole?) banana go in the blender. What came out was sweet, cold and delicious without the rotting your teeth sugary taste a lot of smoothies leave behind. I walked outside, to where C was enjoying a seat on their picnic table. I visited Maui Wowi today and I swear it was the best smoothie I have ever had but the customer service by one of the workers today was terrible. I am a professor and believe if you have a job in which you have to serve the public that you should put your best foot forward. It would not hurt to greet with a smile and when serving a smoothie/beverage please do not make a customer feel as though it was a burden or that you were interrupted from doing absolutely nothing. read more

Nowhere on the menu does it say that the fruit smoothies contain dairy. Unfortunately, I learned that the hard way after taking several sips of my strawberry "fruit" (and breast milk) smoothie. Owner was initially reluctant to refund my money, and offered no apology. Hopefully they have the decency to inform the customers of this addition on the menu before someone has an allergic reaction. In addition, there were a LOT of flies, regular flies, horseflies and fruit flies. None of which says "what a clean establishment this is!". Lost my business forever. read more

So cute! We were walking with our kids around 10am and my husband and I were desperate for a to-go cup of coffee. We stumbled upon this little gem. The menu consists of brewed coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies and blended coffees. My husband and I opted for regular black coffee and it was perfect. My kids both tried a smoothie. The ingredients were REAL. No liquid smoothies here. They added fresh fruits and bananas. My kids loved them and it was the perfect mid-morning treat to hold them over while we strolled the waterfront. read more

Wow what great service and drinks. This a great place to stop and grab a drink while walking the waterfront. They have cute tiki cups as a souvenir. The smoothies are blended very nicely. They have hula hoops for the kids to use. In fact the lady making my smoothie complemented me on my manners she had not had someone with my manners in a long time. I love the vibe I get when I see or step inside it is very cool and gives you the Hawaiian vibe you expect. read more

FRUITE FLIES IN THE SYRUP***Unfortunately, we had a poor experience here for a few reasons. The frozen drinks they make are ice and some slop in containers that splashes into all the flavors as they serve it. The shaved ice is $4.20 and the syrup they squirt onto it has fruit flies in it. When I approached the woman working, to discuss it, she really didn't want to own that there were bugs in my 4 year olds shaved ice. She offered to make her another one, but nothing more than that. Sorry, but we will never be returning. $20 that I would rather spend else where. read more

We were here on a overcast Monday and there weren't many people in town. I believe we were served by the owner, very nice guy. I asked for a decaf, which he advised that he did not have brewed, but quickly brewed me a cup. We had regular coffees, nothing fancy and they were very good. Great all natural ingredients and phenomenal smoothie combinations. For a caffeine boost I recommend the frozen espresso, it's smooth and refreshing. The employees there work hard and we had our two smoothies in a matter of a minute. It is really fast service, reasonably priced and who doesn't love a fresh frozen drink by the water on a hot day. I really enjoyed the coffee from a store in the Peabody mall, which is now closed. I can't speak for the Plymouth store, (I haven't yet been) but I tell you the coffee was so good in Peabody mall that I am motivated to go to Plymouth and check it out. When I do I will update here. This place is awesome! They make the best smoothies in all of Plymouth and for a great price. The smoothies are high quality and if you stick to the fruit and yogurt based drinks they are a healthy summer treat. The staff is very nice and you can tell they take great pride in what they do.
