I also returned the vehicle approximately two hours earlier than the scheduled return time. However, after my trip, I received an additional invoice for $60.48, which appears to consist of taxes and fees that were not included in the original prepaid total. This was both confusing and frustrating. If these charges are mandatory, they should be clearly disclosed and included in the upfront price at the time of booking. Receiving unexpected fees after the fact undermines trust and makes it difficult to accurately budget for travel. I would appreciate clarification on what these additional charges were for, and why they were not included in the prepaid amount. More importantly, I encourage Hertz to improve pricing transparency so customers are not surprised by post-rental charges. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I'm so glad we did because I saw some interesting things along the way that I probably wouldn't have seen if I hadn't dropped the car off here. In particular, there is a cluster of very high-end homes in this one section of the beach. These things are like $10,000,000+. go look them up on Zillow.

I…read morecalled Avis our first evening here and was told I could exchange the vehicle at the local Avis right near our resort in the am as it was currently closed plus the airport was an hour away each direction. The lady behind the counter could care less about our predicament and the fact that not only were there ants all over our feet driving but they had taken over the food we had picked up for dinner. I was informed that the airport Avis gave us an upgrade which I wasn't aware of since it was still a small Nissan 4 door car, but no big deal since Avis often has upgraded us in the past when low inventory. Without even looking at her inventory on her computer she said she had no equivalent car for us as all were already reserved. She flat out told me my options vs driving an hour each way on vacation back to the airport (which is not something one wants to do during an already short vacation.) Options: Gi back to resort and wait til a car came in (which said she couldn't tell me when that would be and it could be days,) call roadside assistance and have car towed (wow-makes no sense and not financially practical on the part of Avis) or pay for 2 more upgrades! The lot was full of small cars like the one I had. When I told her it wasn't my fault the car was ant infested and that I was told the night before when I called I could exchange the rental here, she rudely said and just shy of yelling, but in a mean harsh tone, " I have nothing for you, I told you your options!" then put her hand up and said "Goodbye" loud and rude, over and over basically telling me to get out. She did this in front of another customer who looked shocked. She pointed to our buggy car parked in front of office and said "your cars over there, goodbye!" with hand up again repeating goodbye about 4 more times, each time louder! Never have I seen an Avis person be so rude and lacking in customer service. We rent from Avis all the time and this girl should not be working in customer service. I wish I had her name to leave here. Very Bad attitude which put a damper on our trip to say the least. I have never been treated like that at a rental car company.
