Our wedding was on 9.6.25. Scott the owner put all together for us. Though he was away on vacation he still expedited everything and returned calls, texts and emails. That's a professional. He connected me with one of his DJ's Kurt who works for/with him and conducted an amazing evening for our dance music. There was another young man, I'm so sorry I do not recall his name that mic-ed us up for the ceremony. We had two DJs one for the ceremony and one for dances that I so recommend. I had a small destination wedding in Maui and planned my whole wedding out of state/without a planner and coordinator. From the initial inquiry, Maui DJ Services/Scott was professional, quick to respond, answered all my questions clearly, and proved to be very trustworthy. They responded to my many questions in a very timely manner and never made me feel like I was asking too many questions or bothering them. Their planning system is very detailed and made me feel like I could 100% trust them to understand my wedding day vision, especially as a Type A bride. I am very impressed by their attention to detail and willingness to let you customize every aspect of the timelines/music. I created the playlists and chose specific songs for all the different parts of the day and was very specific for what I wanted with the music. Their system allows you to fully customize what you want pairing specific songs to moments of the day and creating playlists, from your Spotify, that they will play as you want. I made a playlist for our pre-ceremony music, cocktail hour, dinner, cake serving, and the dance party. They will actually use the songs you give them, some DJ's want to play their own stuff or just take your playlists as "suggestions." I loved that we also could create a "Do Not Play List" because I had a lot of songs I did not want played. All of the songs played at our wedding came directly from the playlists I created and tracked in their system and I was so appreciate/grateful for that. Our sound technician for the ceremony and DJ for our wedding reception was Jesse, and he was absolutely incredible. Jesse went out of his way to find me and introduce himself to me before the ceremony which was so nice, because I had a few questions that came up day of that he was able to reassure me before the ceremony. Jesse perfectly executed our vision and paid attention to all the details/timing that I wanted included. Jesse has such a good vibe/energy about him that he brings on the wedding day that I can't explain! We had a few hiccups (our cake was not delivered/ready to be cut when it was supposed to be which messed up our timeline) Jesse was so good about not causing me extra stress about it. He came up with a plan that he ran by me and it all worked out perfectly. He was invested in making sure our day went smoothly and perfectly and I appreciated how much he cared about our day. After being left out to dry by another DJ, Maui DJ Services came to our rescue. Just from the few communications at the very beginning, I knew Maui DJs would not disappoint. Communications were always professional, transparent, and informative. Originally we were going to just rent speakers for Maui DJ Services and my fiance was going to do a DJ mix for our wedding himself, since he used to DJ. However, after a family tragedy hit us only a month before the wedding and we both got covid, it became clear that we needed help. DJ Shanalle was one of the best surprises during our wedding day. My husband and I follow the EDM world when it comes to the love of music. That is not the only genre we love so we had very well rounded music at the wedding however EDM is what our relationship is based off of. When passing by her table earlier in the night, I took a moment to thank her for her services and that's when she asked me if we ever went to a festival. Our playlist gave her a clue. I mentioned we had gone to Mexico the December prior for Holy Ship and that's when everything changed. She was there too!
