Last year, we booked bucket list trip #2, a 2026 cruise of the Hawaiian Islands with our best friends. We did some searching to see if a Maui wedding would be possible while in port there. We found Aloha Maui Dream Weddings, and our dream wedding came to be. Darci was amazing. She handled everything and all we had to do was show up. First step for us was to fill out a detailed questionnaire so she got to know who we were, and it was truly planned just for us. She handled all the details, quickly answered any questions we had through email or text, reassured us all would be fine when threats of storms were in the news. She found the perfect location at Makena Cove Beach for our ceremony and was there with us on our special day. Reverend Kuya performed our beautiful ceremony. It truly felt like he knew us. We also did a memorial lei toss in memory of my parents and all our grandparents which meant so much to us. Although Veronica, our planner, was lovely and personable, the service we received on our wedding day did not reflect a 5-star experience. Given that we paid $4,000, I expected much higher quality. If the cost had been lower, I can confidently say I would not have been as upset by the small details that didn't go perfectly.

SBE were really easygoing when we asked to make a few tweaks to the appetizer menu, changed the size of the wedding cake (and then changed it back), and inquired about rentals. It all went very smoothly. Expectations and rules were clearly laid out in the venue contract regarding costs, service, vendors, rentals and food. We had one surprise with the admin fees on the bar tab the night of the wedding but the service was so excellent we didn't worry about it. The venue is gorgeous! It's right on the beach but the ceremony takes place on grass, which was helpful for our guests. It has a lovely path along the side garden that we used as the wedding entrance. The house is quite large and allowed for dinner in air conditioning. They even had the AC cranked up in the bride room for getting ready. We got A LOT of compliments from our guests (and vendors) on the food. I had at least one guest compliment that they loved each appetizer and each entree. I wholeheartedly recommend booking your wedding or event here.

Maui wedding adventures was able to meet us in Kapalua (one of our fave dive sites too). We dined at Merriman's and the food was delicious, as was the view. After dinner it was a short walk to the beach where we met Michael. We were able to choose from a list of musicians that could play while we had our ceremony. Marvin's music is just what we were looking for. He had many song choices with many of them being our favorites. His music really completed our ceremony. Michael's responses were prompt and he kept in contact by sending emails before we embarked on our trip to Maui and even sent a message the day we landed to welcome us! He also sent us messages on the day of to let us know what to look for. We got a sneak peek to our photos the next day and as he promised, the link to all the photos within 10 days. Katy is one of a kind, and clearly multiple levels above other wedding planners. If you're looking for a luxurious, highly personalized wedding, one that truly accentuates your love and journey, hire Katy, she's your gal. She knows what she's doing! Many gave us the advice that something always goes wrong at your wedding, just let it go, but our wedding, under Katy's leadership, was flawless. This review is embarrassingly overdue, as we have just celebrated our 3rd anniversary. But I can still say that the service we got from Lori and her team were excellent. Lori has a time tested process for gathering information for all her weddings, and the planning and organization of all aspects leading up to the event were great. There were a million decisions we had to make while planning our wedding, and Lori guided us through this process all the way through- flowers, tables and chairs, music, food, drinks, wardrobe, makeup, etc. etc. And once the day arrived, Lori and team were on-site from dawn to dusk, ensuring that the plan we so carefully prepared was executed flawlessly. Her goal is for the wedding couple to enjoy their day, without having to lift a finger and to be completely stress-free. I think we appreciated that the most (especially after seeing how stressed many of our friends were at their own weddings because they didn't have Lori!)
