I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful Simple Maui Wedding was to work with! From first communication to the ceremony, they executed perfectly. We decided to add a wedding to our already-planned holiday, and so only had about 2 months to plan....no problem! This is clearly what this company is built for. 1. The officiant [Joe!] they selected for our non-religious, Hawaiian, spiritual service....he was perfect and brought exactly the vibe we were looking for. 2. Karma photography was fantastic! She captured so many great shots, and was flexible when we wanted to move down the beach to change-up the background. She spent the time she needed to get the shots, and we will be forever grateful. 3. The flowers were gorgeous! We did leis for everyone, a masculine green lei for the groom and white flowers for my bouquet 4. Everyone at Simple Maui Wedding was friendly, great communicators and made you feel special and welcomed. We were a tiny little group - 6 of us total - and we felt just as taken care of as a large wedding party. Highly recommend Simple Maui Wedding if you are getting married on Maui! read more

Wedding planning is such a daunting task. When I got engaged I knew I didn't want to have all the fuss over every little detail. Luckily my husband agreed. We booked Simple Maui Wedding to do our beach wedding and we had the most perfect day. No amount of 5 star reviews would ever do the Simple Maui team justice. The entire process was a walk in the park from the day we inquired to post wedding things, everything was easy, and the day of my wedding went even smoother than I could've imagined. I had zero stress, zero anxiety and was able to experience my wedding day full present in its entirety. Thank you Simple Maui Wedding for the most perfect day. I want to relive it everyday! Your guidance was incredible, your quick responses were so appreciated, and your check ins before finalizing certain details is unmatched! If I can convince my husband for a vow renewal in the future, we know where we're going! Much Aloha read more

We have had a flawless experience with Simple Maui Wedding's. The whole process has exceeded my expectations. We had a beautiful, perfect wedding thanks to your team. Kylie was great and had us all on track with what we were supposed to do, she was a delight. Our officiant, Kuya made the whole thing meaningful yet lighthearted and comfortable. He was someone who will stick with me, just a great man. The ukulele player and Hulu dancer were a perfect compliment to our ceremony & mini celebration. Our photographer did a phenomenal job at making the pictures easy and comfortable, not an easy job! We loved her and can't wait to see her work from our day. My hair and makeup artist, Shelby from Simply Beauty Maui was amazing! She was there early and got me finished exactly on our time schedule. I'm a hairstylist myself and was concerned I would be too picky but she did such a beautiful job, I didn't change a thing. Every single person that we worked with from Simple Maui Wedding's has been 5 stars for professionalism, friendliness and just great at what they do. I would highly recommend your company to anyone considering a destination wedding. John and Jenifer Boese read more

We had the perfect wedding day thanks to Simple Maui Wedding and I couldn't be happier with their team. We started the planning process in April and got married in November at Wailea Beach Resort. SMW always responded promptly to our emails and John checked in with us leading up to the wedding, which left me feeling reassured that everything was taken care of. On the big day, everything went super smoothly thanks to our coordinator, Wai. She was so, so nice and listened to all of our questions and requests. Our officiant, Rev. Kuya, was incredible as he guided us through the ceremony. I especially loved the Hawaiian elements since I grew up on Oahu. Afterwards, our families kept telling us how much they loved it too and how personal it felt. Our photographer, Samantha, was also amazing. She was very familiar with the venue and knew all the best locations. She patiently directed us and we love how our photos turned out! We also opted for a musician and SMW booked Kalo for us, and the soothing ukulele music just perfected the ambience. All in all, the day exceeded our expectations, which is saying something since we've been dreaming about it for months! Thank you so much to the team! If you're looking to have a small, low stress wedding on the beautiful island of Maui, I highly recommend Simple Maui Wedding. read more

Due to Hurricane Lane, our wedding and time in Maui didn't go quite to plan. A few days before our wedding date, Simply Maui contacted us to say there may have to be some changes to our wedding due to the hurricane, which is understandable. They noted that the venue, officiator, and musician would stay the same but that our time/day of wedding would have to altered: night before or morning of. We opted for morning of, when the peak of the hurricane was supposed to be later that evening. On the morning of, everyone showed up as promised but we definitely got the vibe no one really wanted to be there and were putting in just the bare minimum effort (except for our officator, he was nice). Definitely not what we envisioned and paid for. Coordinator was "there" but not really there. She facilitated the wedding, but definitely not up to the caliber we expected given the cost of the package we paid for. Photographer was nice but the entire photo session felt very rushed and unorganized, unlike what I've seen from other wedding photographers who are able to corral the crowd and get the kinds of photos they want to shoot. It's unfortunate that we had such an amazing experience with a different photographer for our engagement photos and then to have Simply Maui's photographer mandatorily added to our wedding package. I'm aware that there was a "natural disaster" incoming but to rush us through our special moment and put in minimal effort is unacceptable in my mind. read more

Absolutely would recommend Simple Maui Wedding!! Our wedding was this past weekend and I could not be happier with the way it turned out. I worked with Kristen and she was so responsive from the very first email. Every time I had a question, she responded the same day. Even if it was just an acknowledgment to a request, she was always so prompt to respond and always very pleasant. Our small wedding included just our immediate family, and they commented on how smoothly everything flowed, and also how beautiful the flowers were. The photographer they coordinate with at Karma Hill was also awesome. She was so sweet, and really made the most of our photo session time. Overall, I am just really REALLY thankful that I found Kristen. Wedding planning can be stressful, and she just really took a ton of weight off of my shoulders so that I could just enjoy the day. read more

Simple Maui Wedding helped me create my dream destination wedding! Their packages are AMAZING! Venue, photography, bridal bouquet, and lei's are included! What I was really looking for something that was no fuss, stress free, and had a lot of value. It would have taken me forever to try to find a venue, photographer, and flowers on my own but they work with such great vendors that they made it so easy! I talked mostly with Emily and Naomi... and they always eased my mind about all of my concerns. Naomi was my coordinator during our ceremony at the Maui Dragon Fruit Farm and she lead the way. Literally all I had to do was walk down the aisle! Rev. Ernest performed a traditional hawaiian, religious ceremony and he did an amazing job. He was a great speaker and definitely made our ceremony fun. Cheynice was our photographer and my husband and I are blown away with our pictures! Everything in general just exceeded my expectations and I thank them so much for making our wedding day so calm and easy. read more

SMW delivered exactly the experience we were looking for - a simple, straightforward beach wedding where we didn't have to do hardly any planning work ourselves. I really appreciated how detailed their website was, and the number of reference photos available. Their different package options were very clear, and we only had to have 2 calls with them to feel comfortable that they would take care of it all on the big day. One of our photographers actually didn't show up due to an illness, and our coordinator Emmie actually stepped in and acted as our Assistant Photographer during the wedding which was awesome! They selected Kula as our minister and he did a great job as well and entertained our guests throughout the ceremony. Overall they did a wonderful job planning and and coordinating the wedding and I'd recommend the SMW team to anyone looking for a great team to take care of you! read more

Absolutely flawless planning and execution from start to finish. The communication from the team was clear, organized, and incredibly helpful throughout. I was impressed by how quickly my many questions about minor and major details were answered. Their customer service is top-notch. The photography was some of the best I have seen in Maui. My husband and I used Simple Maui Wedding for our destination elopement in July of 2018, and we absolutely loved our experience! Coordinating the details of the wedding through email and by phone was easy and not at all anxiety-inducing, even for a control freak, type A person like myself from over in the continental US. We were able to select our date, time, location, bouquet, and photo package without any fuss. They also helped us coordinate with a videography company for our videography needs. We had selected SMW mostly for the photos we had seen on their website. We truly loved all of our photos, and our photographer was so sweet and made us feel very comfortable. We also really appreciated the option to purchase our full collection of photos, which we did. The only hiccup we had with the photography was that we had specifically noted wanting some shots at a specific location at the beach we selected when we booked, but on our wedding day, our photographer didn't know we had wanted those shots and we ran out of time. We ended up booking a portrait session a few days later at that location with our same photographer, but we would have preferred to have had the time for this on our wedding day so we wouldn't have had to drive out to the location again and go through getting hair and make up done again. All in all, our wedding was a dream, and we can't thank SMW enough for helping us make it happen! Planning the wedding was easy and seamless, and we would definitely recommend the company for anyone considering a destination wedding in Maui! read more

Let me start my review with saying my wedding was a unique situation.. the potential hurricane Lane turned tropical storm came on my wedding night.. So Simple Maui was on top of it, very proactive with keeping the same vendors and changing the wedding as needed. We changed from a sunset to a morning wedding (10:00 am).. They offered the night before and a Sunday night but not all our guests would still be in town or were yet to be in town. All vendors stayed the same except my wedding coordinator. I was assured months and months in advance that my on site coordinator would do this and that, and blah blah. Because this was my first wedding, my first time in Maui and my first time at 5 Palms. So, everything was fine, I was fine with the change in time, fine with the wind, and the sprinkles, it was still HOT and humid. Fine. But, my coordinator was not very good. There were too many moments when we were like, what now? where do we do go? where's the bathroom, hows my hair? My dress had a mermaid look with a small train, it got wet and very heavy. And muddy.. I was having a hard time with it. Especially for photos. People were stepping all over it. And my coordinator did nothing. She couldn't help me out with some photos? she was useless. I honestly think any Joe off the street would have been just as good. Which is too bad because I was assured she would walk us through everything and it would make sense once we were there... She was nice but I don't think she had enough experience or something..? read more

If you're looking for the best team for a laid back beach wedding, look no further. We are SO grateful that we chose Simple Maui Wedding for our elopement. Aysha & Kristen were absolutely incredible. With their help, we had the most beautiful sunset wedding of our dreams. Our package (basic elopement) came with photos (Karma Hill), flowers (Dellables), an officiant (Rev Kuya), location assistance, a day-of-coordinator (Jen), and vendor recommendations. Their vendor recommendations were so incredibly helpful - we booked our hair/makeup, marriage license agent, and post-ceremony dinner based on their lists - all of which were also great experiences. From start to finish, they ran a flawless operation. Most notable was their clear, fast communication all throughout the process. Thorough, detailed, and accommodating. Amazing customer service. We didn't really encounter any issues whatsoever. The only thing that went awry was professionally handled and ended up being an upgrade - our day of coordinator called us 30 mins before our ceremony to let us know we needed to move beaches due to a downpour at our chosen location. She moved us to an even more beautiful beach that ended up being completely empty - we had the entire beach to ourselves. An "after rain" sunset & empty beach made for some pretty incredible photos (by Karma Hill's Samantha). Can't recommend SMW enough - thanks Aysha, Kristen, Jen & co. for one of the most memorable days of our lives! Highly recommend. read more

After doing plenty of research and checking out different companies to help us plan our dream elopement, Simple Maui Wedding was the only company that made me feel like they were more interested in addressing all of my questions without making me feel like I had to leave a deposit first. They also provided great recommendations for dinner, I was initially hesitant to show up to a restaurant in my wedding dress and feeling like a spectacle, but they recommended dinner at Hotel Wailea, and it was great. The service and food were outstanding, and it really felt like a celebration. I loved everything about our wedding, the day of coordinator and officiant were wonderful and attentive, and the native Hawaiian flowers were absolutely stunning and vibrant. Simply put, Simple Maui Wedding provided us with a dream wedding. We worked with Emily as our primary contact and began our planning in September 2016, from San Francisco, for our June 2017 wedding at Kukahiko Estate. Emily is phenomenal. Sasha was our photographer through Karma Hill Photography, and we worked with Brooke there too. Simple Maui Wedding was always prompt, generous with time, attentive to our questions and requests, and a genuine pleasure to work with. It felt like we were with family with Emily as our on site coordinator, Reverend Joe as our officiant, and Kalo as our musician and singer. In other notes, the rates are beyond reasonable. Also, Simple Maui Wedding handled our same-sex wedding with ease and grace. We felt totally comfortable with them. I can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had with Simple Maui Wedding! There is nothing "simple" about the level of service and professionalism this wonderful company has to offer! Everything went so smooth, communication was great, and the pricing was amazing for the level of service and quality of photos we received. My husband and I were married on Po'olanalana beach at sunset. Marissa had emailed and called prior to make sure we knew where to go and what to do, even giving us her cell number in case we had any last minute issues. We would HIGHLY recommend finding the beach/location before the big date, as Siri took us to the wrong beach. Luckily we did a dry-run the day before so we figured out where to go. To our surprise another couple was having a morning wedding, so it was great to see the beautiful beach and watch their celebration. My husband showed up first and Marissa and Naomi were ready to go! They helped him get staged and then I arrived. Marissa helped me with my flowers and had me walk to my husband and the photographers took a bazillion photos. It was so special and wonderful. Marissa was right there to fix my dress and hair and even held my iPhone throughout the entire ceremony so our family could watch through Face Time back home. Can you say: PRICELESS. They had us do several routine photos and then asked what WE wanted, which was great! We added the trash the dress which was WELL worth the extra money and the photos were fun and turned out amazing. Naomi and the other photographer even ended up getting wet to achieve the best pictures, now that's dedication! We literally selected the location, photos, minister, and flowers and then showed up. EVERYTHING was thought of and prepared for us, down to a list of vendors for hair/makeup/limos. Marissa even checked to see how many other couples had pulled permits for the same beach that evening so they could plan the best part to take us to photograph. That's so thoughtful... everything was about us having the best wedding experience possible. The process was soo easy; we have told everyone we know they are crazy if they don't use Simple Maui Wedding! I hope in 10 years they are still in business so we can renew our vows and use them again. P.S. We just hopped in the shower afterward to wash the salt water off my dress and his Tommy Bahama silk clothing and none of it was ruined! So "trash the dress" maybe should be called "kick ass water photos" instead?? xoxo read more

Simple Maui made us planning for a destination wedding so stress free. I am so thankful for all they did for us to make everything fall into place and they did above and beyond our expectations! We planned to get married in August and we notified them in June. I had so many questions and they were easy to reach out to address my concerns despite the huge time zone difference. They are very responsive with all of their emails as well. I changed my wedding venue from a beach to a house back to a beach because I was not sure how many guests would attend. They were so understanding with my situation and did not give me any issues. Their coordinators are so responsive to any stress that was on my mind throughout the wedding planning process and they made sure that was taken care of before the wedding. They made sure the ukelele singer, videographer, officiant, hula dancer, and photographer fell together on our day. It came out to be perfect! We were one of the weddings that were postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Simple Maui Wedding did so much to make sure we felt calm and secure with our plans and didn't make us feel guilty for rescheduling twice due to the pandemic. The ladies were all extremely communicative with us for the full two years we planned our wedding. When the wedding week finally came, we were not let down. The beach we chose was beautiful, photographer & videographer both amazing, and they really made our special day so perfect with the mini reception package. I appreciate them so much. If I *had* to critique something, it would be that it seems the day of the wedding was a little jumbled and not super smooth. I had lots of guests calling me 5 minutes before the ceremony asking me where to go, they couldn't find the coordinator, had to move to another beach spot, etc. But honestly, I would still book them over and over again if given the chance. Book your wedding with SMW! Simple Maui Wedding takes everything that you have ever dreamt of in a Hawaiian destination wedding and makes it a reality! They communicated with us so well throughout the pandemic and worked with us as we planned... and then replanned... and then replanned our wedding day again. Our officiant Rev. When Patty and I decided to get married on Maui, Our plan was to go away to somewhere wonderful, and come back married. Keep it simple. I started making contacts and sending emails and got nowhere. Planning a wedding in Hawaii from Indiana quickly became frustrating. I found Simple Maui Wedding on the internet, I thought that maybe they could do what we were wanting - keep it easy and simple. We wanted a beach wedding at our condo. OK. We wanted a certain officiant. Done. Sunset wedding. Done. After the flight out, the big day was here, and the big question was - is this going to work out? Yes, our wedding was amazing. Everybody was there on time and ready to go. Karma, our photographer, was great to have with us. We knew what to expect before, during, and after the ceremony. It. Couldn't. Have. Been. Better. Ever. And yes we're legal! Sorry to run on, but it's been almost five months since our wedding, and we still talk about how wonderful it was. read more
