We had Jeff do our dual vow renewal and added hairpiece flowers for all the girls and shirt flowers for the boys. We also had Jeff's wife take the pictures since our camera isn't set up for those types of pictures. I was referred to A Happy Maui Wedding by the concierge from The Royal Kahana Resort. My now husband and I had this crazy idea to get married in Hawaii and I wanted to get more information. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful at answering my questions. I was AMAZED at how affordable his services were. After speaking with Jeff and my parents we went ahead and booked our wedding for February 22, 2015. We booked our wedding in October 2014 and Jeff was helpful throughout the whole process. Even when I had a major scare when The Royal Kahana was sold out! Jeff gave me some great resources and I was able to book a fabulous beach front condo at the resort and hold our ceremony there. Our package included my bouquet, a boutonniere for my husband, two flower lei's for the lei exchange, a ukulele player, a photographer and beach permit for photos. Jeff performed a BEAUTIFUL ceremony and our ukulele player was FABULOUS. There were definitely tears of happiness shed that day. A Happy Maui Wedding What an incredible experience....TWICE! Back in 2000 after reviewing a half a dozen ads for vow renewal services I decided Jeff's company "A Happy Maui Wedding" offered the type of vow renewal service, on the beach-(Baby Beach in Maui was right down a path from the house that we were renting). Jeff provided a package that was simple but elegant. Jeff also gave each one of us a beautiful flower leis following the service. We all wore them for days. They were not only beautiful but delightfully fragrant! We didn't know what to expect and we were all delighted by the words Jeff spoke. how he made the occasion feel very personal which made us feel all the more special He said Morning on that side of the island . What I didn't realize was that Jeff was more than willing after the ceremony to help us get into some fun poses and actually offered and took photographs of us, which complemented the ones than our niece was also taking. It made sure that we all got some very nice pictures. ability to use the area for a small service, helped me by providing information on how this would all work. After all I was planning it for weeks ahead of our visit and my husband and I had never been to Hawaii before. I did all the preplanning and then let our other family members know when we arrived in Maui together that we would all be renewing our vows so they were also delighted by the surprise. The cost for all this planning and personalized attention was very reasonable and weighed in at about 55% of the reason I had chosen to try his company. Those of you that have been lucky enough to visit our 50th state know that it's very costly so to be able to have something this special that was the really reasonably priced was like icing on the wedding cake! And now for PART TWO!!! My son and his wife recently had the pleasure of being awarded a beautiful vacation on Maui by their employer. Thankfully my daughter-in-law Suzanne is an incredibly organize perked her if they were going to renew their wedding vows. I reminded them that we had really enjoyed doing that the first time we went to Hawaii and Maui specifically. She said they really hadn't thought about it in the rush of just getting everything arranged and she really didn't think our son would be that interested in having that kind of event. Evidently she did tell our son that I had mentioned it but didn't take it any further than that. They flew out the next morning which was Thursday June 1st. Friday night I received a text from my son asking how I had arranged the vow renewal back when we went seven years ago. I explained that I had made the arrangements weeks before Saturday morning I looked up Jeff's company to see if they were still in business and thankfully they were. Then begin a series of emails between my son and I to determine the time in between activities they would have available as they also had a couple of work events to squeeze in as well. Once I was able to determine the small times of availability, I advised I would get to work on it and I asked if Suzanne was aware of all this. He said no that he wanted it to be a surprise When I woke the following morning, there was a response from Jeff letting him know he wasn't sure but would be happy to discuss the details with me and offered that I could call him that day and discuss. One of his companies taglines is @making the impossible possible". Well, Jeff is just as customer service oriented as he was seven years ago. He took the information that I had on the short windows of time my son had available and graciously agreed to meet him the following day.My son needed to call him early Monday to see if details could be provided and to see if Jeff would be able to accomplish all this very quickly! Well let me tell you, Jeff doesn't let any grass grow under his feet. He and my son met Monday afternoon disgusting made all the arrangements and my son and his lovely wife arrived and the designated beach early morning on Wednesday. He and Jeff had worked out a plan so that right up until the moment that he knelt down and re proposed, Suzanne remained in the dark and was blown away by the surprise of it all. The flower lays that Jeff provides nowadays he and his wife grow on their property and they are lush and gorgeous. Jeff did a great job, working with us up front planning our special weeding on the beach. We did the basic beach wedding with photos and flower package. Very reasonable fee structures. He also arranged for us to meet with the licensing person and took care of everything for us including detailed maps and directions. This was a big help. I also upgraded based on Jeff's suggestion, and had a ukulele play during our ceremony and it was a nice touch to our special day and he sang as well as played during and after our ceremony. Even had a first dance on the beach while he played and sang. What a great touch. Fuji did a fabulous job on the flowers. They also did a great job picking the spot on the beach. Pictures were awesome and had the pictures on a usb stick before we headed home. I highly recommend them for your wedding. My wife Linda and I returned to Maui this year for our 31st Anniversary. We had Honeymooned here in August 1982! This time we brought two of our three children along with us. We found A Happy Maui Wedding online after having a less than great experience consulting with another company. From that very first phone call, Jeff was amazing; very knowledgeable, willing to answer any questions (even when I forgot that they're in a different time zone and called before 8am!), explained every step on the process, and made everything so very easy on us. Today I did a surprise renewal of our vows. Jeff had a perfect plan to pull it off. His directions to me were easy for me to make work. My wife was totally surprised, and the experience that I shared with my three children was one that I will never trade for anything. I asked for a Hawaiian style wedding that was light hearted. Jeff has a perfect personality and a lot of patience to deliver what I asked for. I ordered extra leis and two hakus for the kids and the wife. They were all perfect. Jeff made sure the girls had theirs perfectly displayed. The bouquet was off the charts and beautiful. I also ordered the extra photos which were totally worth it. We had a lot of fun with the kids and getting their reaction to the ceremony is priceless. I wrote my own vows and Jeff worked with me to incorporate it into the ceremony. My wife was touched to say the least. I did have a problem that I caused with the initial payment. As it was a surprise, I sent a check from a checking account that was defunct. My wife is in charge of the finances at home so that was my mistake. Jeff worked with me to give me another shot at the payment and kept my reservation. I was referred by our concierge at the Kaanapali Alii. I would say that today's experience was wonderful and I have no reservation making a full recommendation. read more

I contacted A Happy Maui Wedding a few weeks ago to inquire about wedding packages. I spoke with Jeff, who was rude from the start. He basically told me that the other wedding planners I contacted didn't know anything about beach weddings. Then after speaking for 2-3 minutes, he asked if he could call me back because he had to help his wife cook. I asked him if he could direct me to the information I was looking for on the website, and he said he would when he called back. Seriously?!?! The whole encounter was completely unprofessional. If he was busy, he shouldn't have answered the phone. And to top it off, he never called me back. I was shocked by the rudeness. We originally used them in 2009 for our wedding and everything was perfect from the flowers to the ceremony, the level of detail is awesome. They hand picked all of the flowers and the pictures that we got were great! My husband and I wanted a really simple wedding. All we wanted was something to make the day just a little more special than a city hall wedding, but Jeff and Fuji made our wedding day even more special and beautiful. The beach they selected and recommended was just perfect. The ceremony was short and lovely! They got beautiful flowers and leis with them not just for us but for all our family and it made my outfit all the more prettier. The morning hour he suggested was perfect for the wedding and the light for the pictures. We took the simplest package because we didn't want to spend a whole lot on this wedding since we would have to go back to India for a bigger one. For even the simplest package Jeff and Fuji made it more beautiful than I could have imagined. The wedding was scheduled for Ironwoods beach and it was raining and he was unwilling to wait it out. He INSISTED we go to some beach near Lahaina next to a graveyard. The beach was dirty, trash all over and a man passed out in the sand. The vows were weird and his wife took the photos and wouldn't "allow" us to assemble people for photos the way we wanted it. Worst "customer service" I've ever experienced in my life. I simply called to find out how to obtain a beach permit for our wedding, and proceeded to get pushed around, interrupted, talked down to, got my wedding party, friends and family insulted, and was told my wedding would be a disaster. I was also accused of preparing to do something illegal, and was told I was basically stupid. This spectacular customer service all from a "gentleman" named JEFF , and all because I already had my wedding details worked out and didn't want to just up and change all of my vendors in order to get a beach permit through them. I nicely asked if there was another company on the island that offered the permit without having to throw the whole wedding as well, and that's when the rest of his insults started. I'm a very even keel person who never sends anything back or writes bad reviews, but this guy deserves the worst bad review I can possibly write. He might be the greatest to work with when you're booking everything through him, but if you're not...don't even call. He's not worth your time or money. Real gem, this guy. He shouldn't be allowed to continue business if that's how he treats human beings. read more
