Where do I begin! First, I will miss waking up to emails from Katy (as my husband and I live in California) to discuss wedding details. We've been emailing back and forth for the past year to create the wedding of our dreams. I wish we could plan another one! Our wedding was everything we could have dreamt of and went perfectly! Katy was on top of everything, from our very first email/zoom meeting, to our very last goodbye after the wedding. She made all of my Pinterest pictures and our ideas come to life and it was all even better and more beautiful than we expected. It's been two months since our wedding and we, and our guests, still can't stop raving about our wedding weekend. Much of that credit goes to Katy for pulling off the best wedding ever. We hired Katy to plan our wedding and welcome dinner. She's not cheap and the wedding wasn't either. Expect to blow your budget, but you pay for what you get (we spent ~$2,800/guest for the weekend) and trust us, it was well worth it. My wife and I hired Katy in 2016 to be our wedding planner for our 2018 wedding nuptials. We researched planners at length, and even met with a few different planners via Skype before choosing to work with Katy. We chose Katy based on her great website, photos and easy-going yet on-point communication style. We felt like she carried the relaxed, kind and unpretentious Maui vibe that we have come to know and love from the island, while still maintaining the mainland quickness and organization that we are used to from living in Silicon Valley in California! Katy is an exceptional wedding planner. When my husband and I started planning our wedding in Maui, we spoke with every established wedding planning company on the island. We made large spreadsheets incorporating every data point we could gather and debated the pros/cons of every company. It was a particularly important decision for us to get right because we live 5000 miles away in New York City, and I've never visited Maui. We ended up choosing Katy out of all the companies we spoke with, and it ended up being the best decision we made for the wedding. Katy is incredibly organized, detailed-oriented, and thorough. I am a planner for work, but when it came to planning my wedding I was completely lost. All I knew is that I wanted to get married in Maui. I reached out to numerous wedding planners on the island, but Katy stood out from the very beginning. She was the only planner who asked questions about my fiancé and myself. We hired Katy to help us plan our wedding in Maui. My husband and I live in Seattle and we were looking for someone local to the islands to help us navigate vendors and locations. We came across Vows Wedding & Event Planning through a google search and arranged for an initial consultation. Luckily for us, Katy was going to be in Seattle soon, so we were able to meet in person. We started working with Katy a year before our wedding. We were on the fence about hiring a planner, but given we were planning the wedding from San Francisco, it was so helpful to have Katy on the ground in Maui taking care of all the details. We were still in the very early stages of wedding planning when I contacted her for information. In my inquiry note, I mentioned we were interested in Olowalu Plantation House.
