Expect to blow your budget, but you pay for what you get (we spent ~$2,800/guest for the weekend) and trust us, it was well worth it. Katy is one of a kind, and clearly multiple levels above other wedding planners. If you're looking for a luxurious, highly personalized wedding, one that truly accentuates your love and journey, hire Katy, she's your gal. She knows what she's doing! Many gave us the advice that something always goes wrong at your wedding, just let it go, but our wedding, under Katy's leadership, was flawless. Our advice: trust her and listen to her advice because she knows exactly what she's doing and she'll get it done so you have peace of mind. This seemed fair and normal. However, when we tried to arrange a follow-up meeting, Kara refused to meet with just my husband and me. She insisted on including her entire team in the feedback session. We felt it would be more appropriate and comfortable to provide our feedback directly to her, with the understanding that she could then relay it to her team. During numerous email discussions, Kara made excuses for every issue we raised and essentially blamed us for the shortcomings of our wedding planner. Because of that, I cannot recommend Aloha Wedding Planning Services. Although Veronica, our planner, was lovely and personable, the service we received on our wedding day did not reflect a 5-star experience. Given that we paid $4,000, I expected much higher quality. If the cost had been lower, I can confidently say I would not have been as upset by the small details that didn't go perfectly.

With a bit of regret not having done our vow renewal "formally" 5 years ago (FIL passed a few months later suddenly), we decided to do it for 15 years with our family being less grandpa but with a new addition, our 3 yo. We stayed in the Kaanapali area and most wedding/vow renewal services advertised were on the Kīhei side which would've taken 40+ minutes depending on traffic to get to and with 2 young kids, the drive back wouldn't have been fun (not to mention bedtime). Maui wedding adventures was able to meet us in Kapalua (one of our fave dive sites too). We dined at Merriman's and the food was delicious, as was the view. After dinner it was a short walk to the beach where we met Michael. We were able to choose from a list of musicians that could play while we had our ceremony. Marvin's music is just what we were looking for. He had many song choices with many of them being our favorites. His music really completed our ceremony. Michael's responses were prompt and he kept in contact by sending emails before we embarked on our trip to Maui and even sent a message the day we landed to welcome us! He also sent us messages on the day of to let us know what to look for. We got a sneak peek to our photos the next day and as he promised, the link to all the photos within 10 days.
