He had provided us two beautiful leis for the ceremony as well as a recital and Hawaiian chant during the ceremony. It was a great time for the both of us, and we loved the unique special gifts and words that he had shared. My husband and I had never been to Hawaii and were unsure with how it would be planning a wedding somewhere we've never been. After some research, it's was crystal clear that Napili Studios was the best choice for us . This was based on reviews and the photos posted within reviews simply spoke for themselves of the quality provided by Napili Studios! We reached out via email and heard back almost immediately from Christine, who wears many hats. Christine set up a time for a call and went over our options and described areas to us. She sent a very thorough email with links to help us decide what was best for us and within an hour, we were ready to book! The responsiveness and customer care we received every step of the way from Christine was nothing short of absolutely flawless! Other businesses could really take some notes from this stand-out company on how to treat their customers! Within just a few days, we had all the details nailed down. Initially, the thought of booking a wedding many states away was so stressful and held many unknowns, but it honestly couldn't have been any easier or more stress-free! Weeks before our wedding, the tragic fires in Maui happened. The area we were supposed to have our ceremony in was closed off due to damages. Christine reached back out and gave us a ready list of options to pivot to. Once again, this should've been extremely stressful to pivot just weeks before the big day, but Christine had it completely handled and it was a piece of cake! Our wedding day was picture perfect! Napili Studios didn't skip a beat. All the details of our day were perfect from our leis and flowers, to my hair and makeup done by the lovely Jen Castelo, to our sweet officiant Joe! It was wonderful meeting Isa, the owner/photographer and our photo shoots went off without a hitch! Upon meeting Isa, I knew our photos would be stunning. He communicated well and was fun to work with! Hands down, if you're planning an elopement in Maui, don't hesitate! The island is open and we had the very best time! If you're reading this review, look no further than Napili. Working with them is everything could you possibly hope for when it comes to planning your special day! I started planning last august and basically finished planning everything by December. Everything was done via email and phone. Just like any bride I was very excited and nervous that I couldn't go visit the venue or see flowers etc in person. But Deanne talked me through everything!! She was super patient and kind...I was in bridezilla mode almost due to not being able to see things in person but she made it so easy to plan everything virtually. When we celebrate our anniversary we will definitely reach out to Deanne again. Deanne was recommended to me by a coworker who also utilized their services.

At first my husband and I were just going to elope -- but didn't want to deal with the backlash of family members attempting to kill us when we got home. So now we have to get some "plan" together here since we now have guests! Now you would think we looked to Yelp to find one-stop-shopping for our wedding, but we didn't. I picked it based on how good the website was arranged. Yes, that's right ... I basically picked a website that looked *together* and basically looked, well .... pretty. Pretty pictures and cursive writing accompanied with easy page navigation. That's how I roll. Deanne sent us information and we picked our package. There was an a-la-carte menu to have additional things added, like releasing white doves or butterflies. (We decided to opt-out of releasing random insects or birds since we don't know what the repercussions are to the environment, and with our luck they would be hit by a car or sucked into the ocean, and of course we are so morbid ~ our laughter might be met by evil stares from onlookers.) Deanne was awesome! I wanted someone to have it all together for us, and we would simply show up -- and that's how it went down folks. No fuss, no confusion, no problems. If there were any, we didn't know about it. All of our communication was via email and then by phone when we got to the island, and we met her when we arrived in the parking lot of the beach we were getting married on. I only had two requests, the date and time, and I had to have a specific lei. Deanne delivered! We took a shuttle down to the beach, and when the door opened, I felt like I was met with paparazzi. Who's this guy taking pictures? Oh, that's our camera guy? Sweet! Deanne came and gave me a big hug, and I looked over at our minster, I realized he wasn't the one that she said was performing our service. Should I be worried? Nope! This guy was amazing! He did a traditional Hawaiian wedding and even blew the conch shell during our ceremony. Deanne, thank you so much for making our wedding day with friends and family awesome and totally stress free!

We both got to be so relaxed (as did our families and friends!) because Jacqueline was across every single little detail. It could have been stressful booking venues and vendors we had never seen or met but Jacqueline's expertise meant that we never had any worries. Our wedding day was unforgettable and amazing. I admittedly looked into things later than I should have and was relieved when Matthew told me he was available the day before we departed back to the Mainland. We opted for a 2-hour sunset session as I wanted to capture some of those beautiful Hawaiian shave-ice colored skies! We were pleasantly surprised when both Matthew and Madelynne showed up -- I wasn't expecting a second shooter! My husband is a bit shy/nervous in front of the camera, but these two made it so fun and easy! (In fact, after the trip my husband admitted the photography session was a major highlight of our vacation!) They were great at directing and open to ideas. They also gave us a few moments to enjoy the sunset to ourselves which made for some great candid shots. They have an excellent eye for capturing both expressions, moments, and of course, the breathtaking landscape of Hawaii. (definitely check out their website and blog -- they have the ability to capture lovely images at all times of day -- early morning, midday, sunset, and even the beautiful starlit sky) We started out in the early evening at our hotel and moved down to a secluded beach later for the sunset session. I honestly did not know exactly what to expect, but after receiving the images (super quick to boot - the turn around time for our session was about a week!!!) I was FLOORED - - I loved just about every single picture. Their style is so unique and unexpected...sophisticated, artistic yet accessible, playful and romantic. You'll definitely have a few pictures that you'll want to blow up and hang above the fireplace! :) For the quality of work you are getting, they are a STEAL. After doing some other research online, I am convinced they are one of the best on the island. I was also quite pleased with their response time -- communicating and coordinating was easy. Although Matthew and Madelynne aren't natives, they really do embody the spirit of the islands -- they are incredibly knowledgeable about island history (in fact, aside from their photography, I think they also do tours!) and spiced up our session with fun facts about Maui and the surrounding islands. (bonus!) Much Aloha goes out to Matthew and Madelynne from Maui Creative Photography! We are incredibly grateful for the beautiful pictures and memories. Book them while you can!!!

If you're looking for Maui-based photographers who can capture the majesty of the island scenery with a photojournalistic style that still puts the people as the focus, you need to book the Maui Creative Photography team! It takes real talent to not let the beauty of Maui steal all the attention away from the subjects. We started taking annual family photos 3 years ago and while I don't always like photos of myself, I realized it was such a special way to document our family and preserve special moments. When we planned our second trip to Maui, I realized that it would be awesome to get a beach family photo session. I started googling Maui photographers, spending hours on their websites/blogs and reading Yelp reviews. I didn't feel a connection when reviewing the portfolios of some of the "big names" on Maui who have TONS of Yelp reviews. While I usually get nervous when I see a Yelp vendor with less than 10 reviews, I decided to go with my gut. I'm so grateful to the other Yelpers who shared their experiences with Matt and Maddy and wanted to make sure to add my own review. Go through their entire blog and you'll be so amazed by the stunning scenic shots, the artistic composition/framing of their subjects, the emotions that jump off the page, and the little details that they noticed. I requested a sunrise photo shoot because we stayed on California time and my 5 year old was in bed each night before sunset. Maddy and Matt were waiting for us at 6:30 am at the beach they suggested that was 5 minutes from our condo in Wailea. It was such a great choice with a number of fantastic backdrops: the dark black lava by the water, the vibrant green leafy ground cover (not sure what it's called but I saw it on several beaches), the sprawling tree branches, the golden sand, and even a lovely canopy of leafy trees. My youngest does not like taking photos, but Maddy and Matt had her laughing and jumping in no time. While one took the girls to shoot near the sand, the other took my husband and me near the lava rock. We had twice as many shots as I expected because they often shot different pairs of us (or solo shots) simultaneously. They were both so friendly and patient, they really put us all at ease. I am thrilled with our experience even though I haven't even seen the rest of the photos yet! That's got to be a true testament to how great these two are! I hope to return in the future to do a sunset session when my youngest can stay up later.
