Couldn't have asked for a better day to do this experience. The weather was perfect. The only thing I wish, which Maui Bombers had no control over, is that we could've started all the way at the top. We start about 2/3 of the way up, and the ride is a nice cruise down the side of the volcano with stunning views. We even spent about 30 minutes in a nice little town that had a bunch of souvenirs and food. Mat was our guide and he was an absolute delight. He has excellent customer service and was very knowledgeable about Maui. He was able to give us ideas on what else to do in the area after the bike ride. Mat provides everything you may need, water, wind breakers, gloves, helmets and a homemade treat! I would recommend this to anyone who has a free morning during their time in Maui. It was an amazing experience.

Completed an epic ride (Cycle to the Sea) with Maui Bombers today. Pre-ride, Matt was attentive to message inquiries about the ride, the informative website answered everything else. Please do take caution to the "Restrictions and Requirements" section, particularly the "Ability" portion. The website features photos and videos of the ride if you're curious about the route. Matt was ready and waiting with water, Gatorade and snacks upon arrival, including homemade coconut muffins and lilikoi bars. Waivers were signed and we loaded up with one other couple (max is 6 persons per vehicle; 12 persons maximum per tour) for the drive up to Mt. Haleakala. The views are top notch. We rode on a partly cloudy day and the magical puffs surrounding us were heavenly. After a brief tutorial of safety signals and route overview, we began our downward descent to the tunes of Europe. We stopped at the mile mark to make sure everyone was comfortable and bikes operating properly. The mountain bikes provided are well-maintained and comfortable, adding to the epic ride. There are approximately 3 stops and lunch was included with our tour. The fresh focaccia at Makawao Cafe completed our sandwiches delightfully! The remainder of our ride was pleasantly smooth, a gentle ride through the country with a brief moving tour of Paia. The tour ends at Baldwin Beach, where the bikes are loaded up and you are escorted back to your vehicle. Tips: *Wear cycling clothes, including a long sleeve cycle shirt. *Use the restrooms where you can (pre-ride and halfway stop for lunch). *Smile -you're on camera! And Matt not only takes AMAZING photos, he shares them with you on the way back to your vehicle! Overall, Maui Bombers provides a unique experience that other tour operators do not. Entertaining from beginning to finish, do not miss the opportunity to support this small-business team offering big views and fun!

Probably the best outdoor activity on all the islands. Matthew made it really fun and had great communication and made it easy to have a great time. The experience was even better with great equipment, the muffins and the lilikoi bars made this outstanding. When you're on Maui, do not miss this experience. Super easy and fun and a great adventure from the Haleakala volcano all the way down to the coast.

(Unguided Trip) Highlight of my 10 day trip to Maui, and plan to do this every time I come back!! Guides were funny and knew the land very well. He's ridden the trip 1500+ times, and still loves it! The only bike tour that doesn't require full face helmets, and gloves (and snacks) are provided. TOP TIER EXPERIENCE for a great price!

Suuuuper cool company. The guys were all super nice and provided a level of care/support you could tell the other company's do not (including driving behind us like the Tour de France for a portion of the drive). Good humor from the guys and a beautiful ride. The bikes were in good shape and built for the long descent. Wear layers, it is chilly up top and at speed you'll need more clothes. They do have wind breakers and gloves which helps.

BEST bike company on the island! Matt is absolutely awesome and has perfected the business! This was my third time biking down the volcano and I would definitely recommend Maui bombers, 100%!! Matt surprised us with homemade toasted coconut muffins in the morning, snacks, water, Gatorade! He was super excited about the ride, got everybody pumped up! Absolutely beautiful day riding down the volcano. Stopped for a DELICIOUS lunch! And then finish the day down close to the water! His bikes were top notch!! He even adjusted the brake placement on the handle bars for me a miles or so into the ride because my wrist was killing me. That extra customer service completely change the entire ride for me! I don't know if I would've been able to make it down if he wouldn't have done that. Thank you so much Maui Bombers!!

Maui Easy Riders was a SUPERB choice!! Booking with the owner Billy was great as he prepared me for our adventure over the phone. The morning of the excursion, we met our guides, Charlotte and Jon, who proved to be an absolute hoot! They alieved any anxiety and brought some great history lessons as we trekked up the mountain. My wife and I were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary and the last time we were in Hawaii was for our honeymoon, 38 years prior. Charlotte and Jon made us feel special. Unlike many other companies, Maui Easy Riders only allows 6 people per session, so it was easy to get to know your fellow travelers and we became close friends in a very short time. They have a specially built cruiser bike that has a huge, extremely comfortable seat and and massive disc brakes for both wide tires. The ride is exceptional and you feel very much in control. There is no "push" for you to speed down the mountain, and until everyone was comfortable with their "sled", the downhill journey was held at your own pace. The van follows you down the mountain and runs interference for cars that might be coming up to pressure you. No worries or anxiety here. If you need anything at all, they came prepared to assist you: Rain gear, pants, windbreakers, snacks, water and Gatorade. At any time, you could have access to the stuff you might of brought in the van. We made several stops to take pictures and view the landscape and learn of areas to be aware of as they might be coming up. Charlotte was a great leader, guiding us with hand motions and instructions for our safety. She and Jon communicated with walkie-talkies to navigate the traffic and the care of the riders. We all shared some great stories as we learned all about the route and history of Maui. I can't recommend Maui Easy Riders enough. Their care and concern for your safety and adventurous spirit made our trip extremely enjoyable. The 6 of us riders enjoyed the journey so much, we all had lunch together, laughing and sharing more antics from the excursion. Don't pass up YOUR experience!! Thank you Charlotte and Jon for a WONDERFUL experience !!

Everyone in the tour parked their car in the town of Paia and were picked up by Billy and another individual (forgot his name) in the Maui Easy Rider van. Once we arrived at Haleakala, it was a bit chilly and misty (morning tour), so bring a jacket. You can store you personal items in the van, so don't worry about carrying a lot things. Billy took the time to ensure the helmet and bikes were a good match for our head size and body height. After going over the safety rules, Billy led the group with his own bike while the helper drove the van in the back blocking passing cars to create a safe ride for us. The ride itself was amazing. It was about a 25 mile bike ride ( ~2 hours), but it was really casual and smooth. It was mostly downhill so majority of the time was spent being in awe with the surrounding environment. We passed by ranches, farms, towns, and residential areas. You go at your own pace, so there's no pressure to go with the group. If you're desiring a fast and challenging ride, then you move up in the line. And if you're casual and want to take it slow, you can stay in the back. The van will always be in the back blocking cars, so you're safe. Just enjoy. We also made frequent breaks to rest and take photos. We took couple photos at scenic places and even took a photo with a chameleon. To summarize, this was one of the best way to experience this area of Maui. Highly, highly recommend Maui Easy Riders

I reserved an e-bike on December 21 for a Christmas Day ride, with a return on the 26th. Their online system let me submit the reservation without any warnings or restrictions. But when I showed up to pick it up, I was told they wouldn't rent it to me because they're closed on the 25th, and someone else had the bike booked on the 26th. They also said they needed time to tune the bike in between. That explanation is understandable. What's not understandable is that nobody told me ahead of time. If they had reached out earlier, I could have adjusted the plan. I didn't even mind paying for an extra day to make it work. The bigger issue is that the reservation system shouldn't allow you to book dates that can't actually be fulfilled. I'm open to giving them another try, but they really need to fix the reservation process and communication so customers don't find out at pickup that the rental can't happen.
