Don't buy a mattress from any Mattress Warehouse. We originally came looking for a mattress for our guest room, hoping to spend somewhere around ~$1500. After trying out some options, we decided to upgrade our bed (and move our previous mattress to the guest room) and purchased a tempur-pedic pro adapt. We were told it was cooling and we wouldn't be overheated in it. Since receiving it, the mattress has been very stiff. I know there is a break-in period required for memory foam so I can't complain about that. However, it has been so hot that we aren't able to sleep at all. The "cooling" is non-existent. We have honestly never slept worse. At the time of purchase, we were told that if we didn't like it, we had 100 days to send it back. What they don't tell you is they don't do returns, only exchanges AND that the exchanges have to be of equal value. We wanted to exchange it and go back to our original plan of getting a cheaper mattress for our guest room. Apparently, that can't happen. After spending an hour trying to get someone on the phone at corporate, I finally spoke to a regional manager who essentially told me "it sounds like you just don't want to spend money." He was incredibly dismissive and unwilling to try and reach any sort of solution. I would recommend looking at Mattress Firm - it seems like they actually have a return policy instead of this sham. read more

We went here to buy four king size mattresses. Sunil helped us out. The mattresses were fine, but the price was high, and he thought $300 bucks on a $9,800 sale was doing us a favor. There was also a little bit of the "let me talk to my manager" used car salesman bit that was a little weird. We could have handled this. He then took $20 "refundable deposit" from us to "reserve the price". We then shopped elsewhere and found a much better deal. When we went to get our $20 back, he said that the "central office" had to write us a check. It took us from Jan 7, 2018 to Feb 20, 2018 to get them to send us a check. We called more than 10 times, got the run around, heard that Sunil had been fired, and finally got the check. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

I was helped by a woman who did a decent job showing me mattresses, but everything went downhill from there. I felt as if I was coerced into putting down a 10% deposit of $390 to hold a price quote but a man on the phone who must have been her boss. I explained I needed to shop more and look at ratings and was not ready to order. I found a mattress I preferred elsewhere and thus returned to the store exactly one week later to let them know and get a refund. I was told it could take up to 10 days to get the refund! I said that was absurd, but it was explained that the person who processed my charge could not do the refund. I called on the 11th day and asked where my refund was. A man called me later in day and said he would take care of it after being pushy and trying to get me to buy one of their mattresses. He lied. It took another phone call and about 3 more days before the credit showed up. To make matters worse it was done after my credit card bill was issued which never should have happened. Do not put down a deposit at this store because it took me 15 days to get refund. This amounts to terrible service. The store itself isn't exceptionally nice, but I worked with Dean, who was exceptionally thorough in having me test out the mattresses. Theatrical, even. He encouraged me to pretend that I'd just had a bad day and to throw myself on the mattress with a hand to my forehead and exclaiming "Oh God" all at the same time. Frankly, I'm a little relieved he didn't suggest that I practice other activities to see if the mattress was suited to *that*. All in all, it was amusing, but might have been less so were I in a hurry. Nevertheless, all the chatter that went along with trying out the mattresses got me the mattress that I wanted at a very good price. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM MATTRESS WAREHOUSE. I have been sleeping ON THE FLOOR for 5 nights and counting because this store did not provide the mattress I paid $1,500 for. I am a repeat customer who purchased a mattress from the Seven Corners location on July 3rd, and delivery involved an inter-store transfer to another state. Delivery was scheduled to my new house on July 27th. The mattress was never even transferred (let alone delivered), and no one seems to know where it is. I spent several frustrating days on the phone with the store manager (Jane) and someone who said he was the district manager (Tony); neither of them were helpful or honest with me. On July 29th, I requested a refund for the amount I paid. It has been 72 hours and I have not received a response to my request. On July 30th, I sent a detailed e-mail to several of the customer service e-mail addresses, but have received no response (not even an acknowledgement) after 48 hours. I called the corporate customer service number on August 1st, and they informed me that no one from the store (or district) had ever submitted the request! I am still unsure whether I will ever see my money again... However, I am very sure that I will never do business with this company again, and will never recommend it to anyone. Update: August 3rd. Finally received an e-mail on August 2nd stating that I will be getting a refund (although it hasn't hit my bank yet). Still no actual response from anyone at MW to my e-mail, this review, or a voicemail left with the actual district manager (who is not named Tony, surprise) regarding the extremely unsatisfactory customer service by the store manager. Decent selection and okay prices, but about the most pushy sales staff I've seen in a while. I'm buying a mattress, not a used car. I don't need you to follow me around and tell me about every mattress, and when I ask you to back off it would be great if you did. I also don't care for the effort you take to hide your prices. We met Andy the day before Christmas as our mattress company sent us to try out mattresses before replacing ours. Andy was so wonderful and made us discover a better adjustable than the one we currently had. We sold our old one and came back for the Enso ultimate adjustable. We placed the order at 4pm and Andy had delivered next day. By 11:30 within 10 minutes William and Daniel had the new bed assembled and ready for use. They were nice, professional and very friendly. There are many mattress warehouse but please go to this one for all your shopping and deal with Andy once you do that, you will never shop anywhere else for your bedding and sleep systems need. I called this location after the feeling I was getting a ripoff at the Tyson's Corner location. I did some shopping online and was aware of what I wanted and the price I was willing to pay. Andy answered the phone and provided a quote of the exact items I was inquiring about. He was so knowledgeable of the product, that I did not even have to give him much detail. Now, at the previous location, I was offered only $20 off the delivery charge, and in fact, was quoted a higher price than the prices online! Working with Andy allowed for about $100 savings. I can tell he was interested in earning my business, as opposed to making a commission quota for the day. Great job Andy!! read more

My husband and I came in here this past President's Day weekend to try out mattresses. We had no intention of buying one as we were just in the shopping center for lunch. Andy and Ivan greeted us with open arms and gave us all the information we needed as well as a deal we couldn't refuse. They get five stars across the board based on the following:' - Experience: very friendly from the minute that we stepped foot in the store - Delivery: they tracked the delivery for me to give me a more accurate time of arrival and the delivery guys called in the morning and an hour before so I could work a bit longer before leaving. Not to mention, they also arrived within the 3 hour time period as promised. - Pricing: the deal was great especially for President's Day weekend (do keep in mind that there are better times to purchase a mattress when it comes to pricing) - Overall experience: I would definitely recommend them to others based on my experience and I plan on returning to them in the future. read more

Mattress Warehouse, is a badly run business with horrible customer service,very low quality of mattresses and dishonest salesperson!! She will tell you all that you wants to hear after buying you'll find nothing from what was told!!! I paid more than $4,000 for an adjustable up and down with a mattress from Mattress warehouse seven corners, Falls church VA- shop. This was the worst experience in my life ! Unfortunately I have had it about 45 days ago and it's just as horribly uncomfortable, I have constant neck pain that I never had until this mattress. I have also bought mattress pads and I am still in pain every single day from my shoulder being pushed into my body every night. When I went back to the same shop and meet with the manager,needs to return or exchange it as per their policy, the "manager" has to try to put me conditions in such a way that came back home and believe that they are really thieves, crooks who are trying to stole customers money !! first there is no return, also there is no exchange contrary to their policy as if you want to do, they will charge you the price of the transportation for picking up their bad mattress then they will charge you another time to deliver another one in addition to the first time delivery charges, that means if you wants to change your mattress , you need to pay for more than another new one !!! if so, I prefered to trash the mattress Warehouse one and to go to another competitor, more serious! as this company is only investing money in Marketing, collects the worst quality of mattresses in the market , sell it with the prices of good ones with now exchange or returns,Mattress Warehouse is just a fancy marketing scheme, Save your money ! and go to serious companies to get your mattress! This was my first time buying a bed for myself. Didn't really know what I was looking for but Himar was incredibly helpful. I got fitted for the right mattress type and he talked me through the different mattress that would be support my sleeping habits. When we finally decided on the best bed for me, he got me a great deal on the whole set (mattress, box spring, bed frame, & headboard). He did everything he could to stay in my budget. Over president day weekend 2/15/14 I shopped at this location and was considering purchasing a bed. The first price offer I felt was to high and went and shopped around that day. I went back at the end of the day on the way home and spoke again with them. They then dropped their price down several hundred dollars and acted like I was torturing them and this was such a bargain. My lady was tired of looking and so I placed an order with understanding that I could cancel it with no charges before it was delivered the next weekend. I did some more internet research that night and realized that this was no great deal and felt that they were kind of sleazy so I decided to cancel the next morning. I was then told it could take up to two weeks to credit my credit card, etc. etc. Fast forward to 3/19, they are still in dispute with my credit card company for a bed I never even laid eyes on. Don't deal with these guys, to many other places to buy from. PS: The overall mattress industry is sketchy and loves to use different naming conventions for products to make it hard to comparison shop- best to do internet research in advance to determine exact features of the bed you want so you can keep them honest. what a pain. read more

(Part 2/2) Delivery went exceptionally well! They called me in the morning to confirm delivery and provide a timeframe of when they would arrive. I met them downstairs and they were waiting! I loved that I did not have to go downstairs and wait around while they tried to find my building. My bed frame was scheduled for delivery later that day so I asked them to not unwrap the mattress and to leave it in the hallway. The delivery men called their supervisor to have me verbally confirm that I did not want the mattress set up. I greatly appreciate that personal follow up because it seems like they genuinely care! read more

I ordered a pedestal bed and planned on putting my Tempur Pedic adjustable base on the bed, so needed shorter legs for the base. The Mattress Warehouse ordered them "special order" and said they would be in 2 days later. If not, they would be in the following week. When I didn't receive the promised call after a week I went in. They vaguely remembered me and my order and looked it up. No action had been taken. The salesperson, Himar, swore he would call the factory (Wednesday) and have them FedEx to my house Friday for installation when the new pedestal bed was to be delivered, and again I would receive a phone call confirming the delivery. I heard nothing, so I called today (Thursday). Himar then tells me he talked with the manufacturer, those legs are not available, and he canceled my order. He apologized for not phoning me to explain any of this claiming he was busy. With customer service such as this, they likely will be out of business in short order. Save time and aggravation and go elsewhere; I wish I had. read more

Andy is the floor sales manager and he was able to work w my price range to help me out. I shopped at three different places giving them my price range and none of them helped. But Andy was able to give me a box spring that I needed unexpectedly because of my current living situation. He was courteous, professional and went above and beyond. His staff made sure I was able to get home with the box spring with a stellar packing job. I will be recommending his shop to folks. I normally buy all my bedding needs at IKEA, but when the time comes to get a real bed, I'll be going to this shop. Highly recommend. read more

Do a favor to yourselves and buy mattresses online. Been here twice and both times had a bad experience. The first time - the salesman got mad at us for asking for a price and pretty much kicked us out for not buying. The second incident - my brother in law bought a bunky board, which we wanted to return. Instead of explaining the return policy, the Sales Manager was rude and got mad at us for not knowing Virginia law. All I'd say at this point is shop there is you like rude humans. read more

Warning, the Comfort Exchange policy will cost you a $200 fee if you want to take advantage of it. We came in a few weeks ago (we've bought beds from this place before for our kids). My wife was not sure if the bed we were considering was comfortable, it's hard to tell just sitting there for a few minutes. The salesman insisted we had a 30 day comfort exchange policy that would allow us to exchange it with no risk. At no time did he mention that there was a $200 fee for exchanging the bed, or we would not have purchased the bed. So we purchased the bed and I picked it up a few days later. Well my wife is not comfortable in the bed, so we went back today to exchange it for a higher end model (this was a house brand, and I had reservations about buying a house brand but the salesman talked it up). A different salesman was there and told us there was a $200 "delivery" fee if we exchange the bed. I said I didn't have the bed delivered, we live right across the street, I just put it on my minivan. I can bring the other bed here in the same way. No, you must pay the $200 delivery fee because they haul your old bed to the Salvation Army. He was very quick to show me where it said on the back in fine print that you must pay $200. I wonder, why didn't the salesman who sold us the bed point out the $200 fee? Why did he never mention it even when we asked several times about the exchange policy? We were the only people in the store on both occasions. An honest business would give you fair warning about fees especially if you are talking about the possibility of exchanging the item. Restocking fees, etc. all are reasonable, they should just be mentioned up front. Yes if I had read the pages and pages of paperwork we signed I might have noticed it but who does that when buying a bed? Why is it so difficult for these people to be honest and just say "Hey there'll be a $200 fee if you take advantage of our Comfort Exchange policy, so if you want to take a little extra time to be sure the bed is comfortable, do it." Stay away from this store. There must be honest retailers around where you can buy a bed. Edit: Re: the message about the policy being on some mat on the desk. The desk was covered with paperwork and other junk. I was sitting between two desks between clutter. How about just being honest and pointing out there would be a $200 fee for this while the salesman is talking up the exchange policy? Why is it so hard for people to just be honest? Like this: "Hey let me point out that this Comfort Exchange policy we're talking about does involve a $200 fee so if you're not sure the bed is comfortable why don't you take a little more time?" read more

I called at 10am (store opening) and nobody answered the phones for 45 minutes after several attempts. I finally got ahold of someone at 11am telling me that my mattress was already there and available for pickup. As I was about to do so, I got another call moments later saying it was not available until 3pm, unfortunately I had to go to work therefore I could not pick it up. As a precaution, I called again at noon today (September 4, 2013) letting them know that I was coming over to pick up my mattress (again) and a man named "Nigin"(sp) told me that the "stock room guy" will not be in until 1pm, and that I was unable to pick it up. At this point we arrived at the store parking lot and remained patient. I called again from outside the store and "Nigin" informed me that the "stock room guy" isn't in yet and that he would call his district manager, Kevin Keller, to see what's happening. I then get another call from "Nigin", presumably relaying a message from Mr. Keller saying that I would "HAVE TO PICK IT UP AT 4PM," when I'm not available to do so. At this point, that is now 3 customer service promises that were broken. Me and "Nigin" got into a mild argument and he told me, verbatimly, "It's not my problem, it's your problem." At that point I have left for work. As a national chain who supposedly provides the best customer service in the industry, I would hope that this situation can be amended tomorrow when I attempt to pick my mattress for a third (and final?) time, in which "Nigin" told me that the "stock room guy" would be in at 10am. 1 star is far too many. I purchased a mattress from this location after seeing an advert on TV about a big sale. I recently moved and had been sleeping on the couch.. I was so excited about getting a bed! I popped over to the store, selected my bed, paid for it and scheduled delivery. Delivery would be 5 days from when I purchsed it as that is when I was available. Delivery was fast and the two men who delivered it were so polite and friendly - I was impressed! ...that is, until I attempted to sleep on the bed. The chemical odor coming from the bed was so intense it made my eyes burn. I had a migraine and a sore throat - all symptoms that went away when I got away from bed and into fresh air. I didn't notice this when it was delivered because it was wrapped in plastic and the plastic itself has a certain smell, though not horrible like this odor. I'm not prone to hypochondria but the chemicals in this mattress were making me sick. I called Mattress Warehouse and explained the situation to which they immediately replied "NO REFUNDS!" I'm NOT ok with that but alright, what about an exchange? Clearly this mattress is defective, right? Well they just can't go and do that, of course not. The District Manager has to be called and he makes the decisions. It has been a week and still no answers. I keep calling (they've only returned my call once) and one salesperson had the audacity to say I gave him my phone number wrong. Twice. And also listened to him repeat it back to me. Even if he wrote it down wrong which can happen, he only had to look up my sales order to get my number. Instead, he chose to not call me back at all. Now I'm extremely unhappy. My issue still isn't resolved and I wished I'd Googled Mattress Warehouse and read all the bad reviews before I bought from them; I would've just gone to Sears or Macy's. read more

My teenaged daughter and I went to several mattress stores before buying a mattress from Andy at this store. Andy was polite and very helpful. He did not pressure us to buy a mattress, but he answered all of our questions and showed us exactly what we wanted. We were actually happy to be able to buy from such a pleasant and professional salesman. We picked the mattress up today and are thrilled with the product. It is a good quality and very inexpensive mattress and we would buy it again, if we decide to replace our guest room mattress. We will recommend this store and Andy to friends and family in Northern Virginia. It's worth going out of your way for this professionalism and price! read more
