I take sleep VERY seriously and appreciate the system they have to narrow down their selections. Edrees wasn't pushy, took his time to explain what he was doing when having us test out like 7 different models & their features, and then left us alone for a few to make up our own minds. It was a good processes and we felt good about the decision. This brands are all solid and well-known, and their process seems pretty tight. Give yourself an hour or so if you go, it's no surprise these things aren't inexpensive and you're going to spend a quarter of your life in bed, so make it count.

The first thing that happened was the workers came 45 minutes before the delivery window when we weren't ready for them. They delivered one mattress but to their credit they didn't deliver the other or the bed frame because they noticed damage. But then on the redelivery date, they simply left the mattress, severely bent, and bed frame leaning against our front door (which we then couldn't open) without setting it up or even ringing the doorbell or knocking (they initially gave us an 11-hour delivery window, calling it a two-hour delivery window, and then later gave us a two-hour delivery window and evidently dropped the mattress and frame off before that window.) We called twice and texted twice and when we got hold of someone they said they couldn't come back the same day. So they apparently were fine with leaving a mattress outside in the elements overnight, severely bent and blocking our front door (so we had to go out the garage) and. And make us be home for a third day to take delivery. So we initially cancelled the order but then they offered to take $200 off in compensation. It wasn't an explicit apology but we un-cancelled our order and the mattress folks came and set up the mattress and frame the next day without incident. So I'm revising the review to three stars.

My family and I are big advocates for supporting local businesses rather than big box companies. However, we expect from all, big or small companies, respect and exceptional customer service. This is not what I experienced at this store. I went into the store looking for a sectional and possibly also a dining table. The salesperson was very attentive and willing to answer my questions. Before purchasing the sectional, I decided to check out other stores that same day to make sure I was getting a relatively good price and wasn't missing out on something else. I returned to the store the next day with the intention of buying the sectional but this is when it turned.... I asked the salesperson if the price for the sectional was the best given I saw another couch very similar at another store for less. He told me to speak to the owner regarding the price. I told the owner that I saw a similar couch for less and he told me they weren't the same. Of course I knew that! I asked him what the difference was and he gave me a short response - the quality. Ok... that was a general response so I asked further, "what about the quality?" He answered, I don't know how to explain. After a few seconds, he said.. the fabric.. warranty. Alright so then he asked me "is this your first time buying a couch?" And I said, yes. He then looked at the salesperson and said, "you see". He then said, "how old are you?" I responded, 34. He then he said "you're researching like you're 17". I was dumbfounded. It was insulting as if age had anything to do with this. He was alluding to my ability to purchase furniture, lack there of. I walked out and will never return. He tried to say that I "looked 17" which was even worse given I am a grown woman and want to be treated as such. Age has nothing to do with shopping for furniture!!! If I didn't sound "informed".. take the time to educate me, your customer, as that extra step may take you a long way! The bed was not working out for me so I contacted them on several occasions letting them know what was going on. You have 120 days to return the bed. The thing they got me was on August 6. I decided I wanted to return the bed. I was waking up with back aches and the bed just wasn't working for me so I contacted them and told them that the bed was not working for me and they agreed that they would, come get the bed but I would have to pay $100 restocking fee and $100 delivery fee. I was not happy with this so they ended up saying OK. You just have to pay for the delivery. Then what shocked me was that when I purchased my bed, it came with a free bed I don't know the exact name, moves your head up so if you wanna look at TV or you can move down. They told me I had to keep that because that is not returnable so that's $299. They wanted to keep plus the other fees, which they did wait my thing was no one never, told me if I wanted to return the bed I would have to keep the head and move up and down and that cost 299. So the reason I am writing this review is I want you all to know that if you return your bed and they give you a free head post that goes up and down, you are responsible for paying for that head post. It is not returnable which they do not disclose that. Now you know so you will not be fooled by this. Like what are you gonna do with this in your house like, can you exercise with it now? Can you use it for a game table? No, can you use it for a table? No, there's nothing you really can do with it, but just know if they offer you a bed and a free headboard that goes up and down and you return that bed that headboard you will have to pay for. She helped me narrow down my choices based on what I liked and disliked about past mattresses. She didn't try to get me to buy more than I needed and gave pros and cons of the mattresses, pillows, and frames. Theresa also discussed prices with me, which helped me get just what I wanted - a great setup and value for my money. The two men who delivered my mattress, pillow, and adjustable frame (maybe father and son??) were friendly and efficient. They removed my old mattress, boxspring, and frame for a small fee, which saved me from having to figure out how to dispose of it all. I am SO happy with my purchase, and so glad I went to Baer's! If I have a need for new mattresses in the future, I will definitely return to Baer's. I highly recommend them!

The way the company went about selling me the product was dishonest. The way the salesman went about selling me this product, after knowing I would likely make an exchange, was dishonest. He never made me aware of the delivery fee of 125 dollars. If I had known, I would have never bought from Mattress Warehouse But rather direct from Nectar (free returns & exchanges). Customers should be aware of this steep delivery fee. When I reported them to BBB their response was quite robotic and care free. Says a lot about the standard they hold...very disappointing.
