Awful experience. Not sure how there are so many 5 star reviews I went in to get a new mattress and this was the first place I visited because it was convenient. After sitting through the mattress matcher experience She didn't bother asking our budget or what we wanted and when my boyfriend tried to look at the price of a mattress she showed us (it was over $3000 way out of my budget) she slapped his hand away! Extremely unacceptable! We should have left right then, but I wanted to try mattresses and see what we liked. I told her repeatedly this was our first stop and I would need to think before deciding and we would NOT be purchasing this visit. Everytime I said that she shook her head and said that it was going to be my last place and I would be purchasing today. The sales tactics were pushy and aggressive. When we decided we'd had enough they didn't want to let us leave and kept following us out the store to stay try new mattresses and buy. If you want old school sleazy aggressive sales tactics absolutely go here, otherwise there are several much more kind and patient places to give your money. read more

Who the hell likes shopping for mattresses? A huge need but not fun at all. However, visiting Raphael the other night... whew... quick and easy!! Shopping for my toddler as he is graduating to a big boy bed. +Patients! I had my toddler running around the store. Raphael, entertained him with toys and a balloon. Also, I was running on three and a half hours of sleep and asked him to repeat himself like 15 times. He never showed any frustration or annoyance. +EASY! I told him all my needs and budget.. he narrowed my choices down fast and gave me all the in's and out's of each mattress. +Knowledgeable! He knew about each different item pro's and con's. We entered the store around 7:30pm and was greeted by Fatima. She walked us through the process, and the bed match technology that would suit both my husbands and my sleeping needs. It really helped in making the process quick as to which options were best for us. She took us from bed to bed explaining each one. At the same time, we appreciate her honesty and opinion as to which of the two mattresses was better. We ended up purchasing the Serta. I'll write another review once we actually get to use the bed, but for now, We we're happy with Fatima and I'm guessing the boss' service. We were out a little after closing at 8pm. I had a very negative experience with this store and Mattress Warehouse overall. I choose to shop here because it is local and the reviews looked good, but I had major issues with my purchase, delivery, customer service, and accountability. I worked with Gideon. He was decent, but he kept trying to sell me things I stated I didn't need. I was very clear about what I wanted. I understand he is a salesman, but there was no give/take. At the end of the sale is where all the real issues began. I received my delivery and was missing one piece of the mattress. I received 3 boxes for the mattress and 2 box springs, but I should have received 4 boxes for the mattress and 1 box spring. The boxes were labeled #1,#2,#3 so I thought I was good to go. Little did I know there should have been 2 #2 boxes. When I finally set up my mattress I noticed I only had half a bed, I was missing coils for half my bed. Initially I thought the delivery people forgot to give me a box because after they left they came back and took the extra box spring they delivered. I thought maybe they gave me a extra box spring and forgot to give me the other box with the coils for the other half of the bed. I called the delivery number. I was talked to very rudely and cut off every time I talked. I was told to deal directly with the salesman because If they did forget to give me something they no longer have it now. I then called the manufacturer of the mattress and asked about the box count to confirm what I should have been delivered. They confirmed I should have received 2 #2 boxes. I opened the manual and it showed the same thing. Next, I called the Germantown store. Another salesperson other than Gideon answered and she told me he was out for the day and that he is the manager so I have to deal directly with him. The next day, I left work early, got my car from the mechanic un-repaired, and drove to the the Germantown store where I purchased the mattress. Gideon was there and was unaware of the issue so I had to explain it to him. This is the 3rd time I had to explain the issue to a Mattress Warehouse personnel. He immediately blamed me for not allowing the delivery guys to setup my mattress as if that would have been any different. Gideon told me I was at fault. My head was spinning. I was beginning to regret ever dealing with him, regretting ever stepping foot into this store. I paid over $2000 for this Mattress. He told me the way to rectify this would be to do an exchange. He said he would try to get me free delivery and this delivery would take around a week. At this point I was 1 week without a mattress. That was unacceptable especially because I knew he and mattress warehouse was at fault. I then pulled out my receipt and began to do his job for him. I explained to him that on the receipt it show I was ordered 1 coil, but should have received 2 coils. He said he used a SKU # that is the complete package. I explained to him repeatedly that, that is not my fault, he should have verified that. He explained it was a new product. He still was persistent that this would need to be an exchange that would take 1 week to completed and I MIGHT get free delivery. I had to explain to him over and over that this needs to be fixed today as it is not my fault. He called the Mattress Warehouse Customer Service line for me. I had to explain the issue again. He began to write up an exchange order while I was talking to customer service. Customer service also didn't seem to understand the issue. After I finished talking to them and got nowhere. I told Gideon to pull up the order. I showed him over and over that I received 1 box of #2 but should have received 2 boxes and that their SKU is wrong. Finally he understood me after I showed him the cost breakdown of each piece of the mattress. the cost breakdown came out to $1500 for that SKU, but the cost of the mattress is $2000. He finally understood. He STILL advised me 1 week for delivery! I told him that I have been sleeping on the floor for one week because my old mattress has been hauled away and that was unacceptable for an issue that is their fault. He said it is not his fault. He finally decided to call customer service again and phrase the issue in a way that would make them release the final piece of my mattress, but I had to drive all the way to Frederick during rush hour to pick it up. He never took ownership and never apologized. Neither did customer service. They didn't offer any compensation and they did not go above and beyond. There was zero accountability. I should of just got a refund. This is one of the worst shopping experiences I ever had. Thankfully, mattresses only need to be purchased every 10-20 years, but when that time comes, I certainly will not consider Mattress Warehouse! read more

This is my 3rd mattress purchase. I did purchase a mattress about a Month ago from Faiz in different location. Since I was so impressed about the knowledge he had about Mattress I did come all the way here to meet Faiz again to buy a mattress for my mom. Again he was extremely helpful to find the right mattress for my Mom. You will be never get disappointed with his service. I can clearly see he wanted sell sleep instead of a mattress. I will definitely recommend Mattress Watehouse and Manager Faiz at Germantown location. Delivery was prompt and even I got a phone call before delivery driver guys come in. My husband and I were looking to replace our mattress set. We went to this location out of convenience and it turned out to be more than a convenience It was an exceptional consumer experience. Raphael greeted our family and provided some entertainment options for our sons which permitted us to try out various beds in the store uninterrupted. While we moved from mattress set to mattress set, the experience never transitioned into a pressure sale and was simply based on consumer wants/needs. Raphael was polite and patient and answered every question that we had along the way. It also helped that the store offered fair and reasonable pricing for the product lines offered. We dealt with both sales representatives, Shakiab and Rapheal, who we found to be knowledgeable, friendly, and - most important - not at all pushy. The delivery people called when we expected, arrived early in the window of time they provided, and were very careful as they first removed the old mattress and box springs and then replaced them with the new. They, too, were very courteous and friendly. We originally purchased an additional item which we later decided to return, and the sales representatives were very helpful in that regard. My husband and I walked in to the store without a clue as to what type of mattress we wanted or needed. He took the time to explain and show us the different types of mattresses (i.e. firm, plush, etc. etc.). After we determined we needed a plush mattress he took the time for us to test out pretty much every mattress he had in the store.
