Pretty sure this is the store I went to - over near Kohl's and Nathan's. Fenix was awesome! So friendly and knowledgeable while helping me find the right mattress for me - explaining all the differences in springs and padding. He wasn't trying to oversell or just get me to buy the most expensive one. He was patient as I kept going back and forth between the few I liked, and in the end even helped me to get a deal buying a pre-owned mattress of my top choice. Stay away from these people! If I could give them a 0-star review, I would. I bought two different mattresses from them in one week, and even though they haven't been delivered yet, they've been sitting on my credit card bill. I normally wouldn't have a problem with that because I want the mattresses, and I expect them to be delivered, but I have a refund for part of the order, and they won't refund me until the order is delivered. So they will charge you before delivery, but they won't refund you. And they say there is nothing they can do about it. Utter BS! And then--mind you--that's a different story than what I was told when I called the same person back the week before about my refund. He just told me to call him and get the refund pushed through. Clearly lies! And get this--the corporate policy on refunds is 2-3 days! It's been 3 weeks since I've been asking for this refund! Somebody is not telling the truth! And then guess what--for one mattress, they gave me a discount on the box spring and gave me the bed frame for free, but on the second bed, which I bought a week later, when the same promotions were running, they wouldn't give me the same discounts, despite admitting to me that I was getting the SAME FRAME on the second bed. If you want to buy a mattress from thieves, buy it here. And by the way, this is my experience after dealing with both managers in the store--Charlie and Terrance. Talk about customer loyalty and goodwill. I've spent $2000 on two mattresses in 1 week, and I'm treated like utter shit. No wonder Mattress Firm is in horrible financial condition. This has been the worst mattress buying experience I have ever encountered. We were delivered an incorrect mattress of lesser quality naturally and did not catch it until delivery people left. Contacted Anna and Corey at the store and the could not be less sympathetic. As representatives of the company, there should have been some ownership taken. We called on the day of delivery to find out it is out of stock and the manager was unremorseful, did not apologize, and said "we are in a pandemic" to excuse him of adding 2 weeks onto our delivery. I recently purchased a mattress from this company and it was bad from the start. Upon delivery the bed was not completely encased as promised , and the delivery people did not let us inspect the bed before they took off. We soon realized the bed was infested with mites and bed bugs after my mother began getting bite marks after sleeping on the bed. We had multiple pest control companies come and confirm our suspicion about the bed. Mattress firms corporate refused to remove the bed or try to accommodate us in any way. In result we had to fumigate our whole home and have prossional cleaning on all household items (clothes, sheets, blankets) costing thousands of dollars. After sleeping on that expensive slab of concrete for what felt like a century and having joint pain every day I finally realized it was probably the mattress and took it back. Thus time, I was shipped the wrong mattress and charged up because it was "higher in price." After telling them it was the wrong one they charged up again despite it being a MUCH CHEAPER mattress than the one they sent me and also charged another delivery fee despite it not being my fault they sent the wrong one. Their "customer service" line sends you back to the store. This mattress firm has the most incompetent employees. From the beginning, Jorge had the wrong address in my order.. after I told him multiple times what the correct address is and he wrote it down- but still put the address in incorrectly! He also gave me a delivery date that I was not able to work with, and I called the store to have the date changed. I was told I would receive a call back after they spoke with customer service, and of course never heard anything back. I called to follow up within an hour to find that they closed the store. I then asked for a refund the next day and was told the refund would be in my account in 7-10 business days. It was June 3rd, and I was told this on May 12th. I've have had the absolute worst experience at this Sleepy's dealing with one of their sales associates, John. Not only did this man completely ruin my order, making it impossible for my new building to accept the delivery of my mattress, he did not even know how to use his email. When I asked him to submit a certificate of insurance to my building, he didn't seem to know what it was. This is a STANDARD request as most apartment buildings in NYC require them during a move. When I said I could send him a sample via email, he said he wasn't sure what his email even was and said that he could call me back in 20 minutes once he'd figured it out. He then proceeded to give me an incorrect email. When I didn't hear anything back, I called the store and he said "oh I realize what happened, I gave you the wrong email!" Basically, he wasn't even going to call back to tell me it was the wrong email... So he gives me another email address, which AGAIN is the wrong email. 4 hours has now gone by and he still hasn't sent in my request for a COI. After requesting to speak to a manager, he gives me his personal email and sends it in to company where I'm told it will be another 48 hours until I even hear back. As a result, my COI was not submitted on time, my mattress was unable to be delivered, and I had no bed to sleep on. I will never use Sleepy's again. read more

Buyer Beware.... Even though Sleepy's in Yonkers changed their name to Mattress Firm, they still employ the same lazy, inept sales people. My husband purchased a mattress before their transition and was told by the salesperson Ana that it would be delivered in 2 days. When I called customer service, I was told that she misinformed us and it would take 2 weeks + to deliver the mattress. I went back to the store to get a refund and after 2 months of phone calls finally got most of it but not all. It's now months later and Ana says she can't do anything because it is Sleepys and when you call Customer Service, they refer you back to the original salesperson because they cannot find it in the system. Save yourself the aggravation and go to a reputable store without this many bad Yelp reviews. Wish I had checked here first! read more
