**UPDATE** The owner or manager reached out to me that night wanting details about my purchase. He said he would investigate. I was impressed at first. For a quick minute, I truly believed Mattress Firm really cared about their customers. Let's see, that was 26 days ago. I have yet to hear back from them. I didn't realize it took that long to look into my issue or they decided not to look into my issue since they already have my hard earn $$. Goes to show you how they truly care about their customers. First Review: So i went to mattress firm to buy my daughter a mattress. I met with employee Taylore who seemed nice. We were in the market for a full size mattress. Taylore showed us two different mattresses. We were able to test the cheaper mattress. It seemed firm but had some flexibility. We decided to get it. I bought the mattress and walked out with my Paperwork. My poor daughter complained the bed was too firm the next morning. With that said, the wife called and spoke with a male at the business. He went on to say we have 30 days to be satisfied. He kept going on and on about the 30 day satisfaction. Then he proceeds to tell us we didn't buy the mattress from his business. This male didn't know what he was talking about. Wife told him it was a woman who sold the mattress to us. Anyways, so he continued to tell us we have 30 days and the mattress needs a break In period. Once he was done, wife Said we wanted to take it back. Now this gentleman decides to tell us that we can't take it back and that it needs to be picked up and then we would be charged $79 bucks on top of a ten percent fee. Never once did he say this until we stood firm about returning the mattress. He had the nerve to tell her the return policy is on our paperwork. Ummm look at My paperwork, nothing on them say we had to pay to return the hours old mattress. Actually on my receipt it states and I quote, "See reverse for guarantee. Also available @ www.matressfirm.com". There is nothing on the back of my paperwork. Taylore never once mentioned the return policy or referred back to their website. Then the guy proceeded to say it's on their website. Who In The heck looks at a website before any purchases are made? So if I bought something from Amazon like a tube of toothpaste, I Best loom at their policies? Get real dude This is my second mattress Purchase at this place and my LAST! Walked in there looking to purchase a mattress right out the door except the customer service we received from the only associate working was rude and unhelpful. I did not appreciate being spoke to in a condescending matter especially since I was a first time mattress buyer (I didn't know much naturally). I felt like such a nuisance for shopping at the store. Our in-law's, who we live with for the moment, were buying a new mattress for the bed we sleep on in the guest room. They went and talked to Gary the salesperson at Sleep Train the night before and found a few they liked but wanted us to look too, since we would be breaking it in. We went in and Gary remembered them by name! Was very knowledgeable and didn't push any product on us, yet showing us a variety of beds. I was so surprised to find two sleep train stores in turlock and was so very thankful! The first store I visited was located next to the at&t. There I encountered a young somewhat rude young man. I thought that maybe it was his age and lack of experience but the longer I allowed him to speak to me, the worse he made himself look. When the blah, blah, blah is all I heard, it was time to go. Went to this location to look for a twin mattress for my grandmother when she visits us. When we walked up there was a man who asked us if we needed help. I informed him what I was looking for, and he brought us to what he thought were a good fit. He asked that my grandmother lay down on one of the mattresses that he thought would be best. My grandma said she did not like that mattress and right after that the man had horrible attitude. From that moment you can tell he was interested in helping anymore which was disappointing. If you are going to work in sales and customer service please have a better attitude especially when dealing with elderly people. First time leaving a Yelp review and came in especially to say how great these guys are at the Mattress Firm on Monte Vista, Turlock. Wish I had gotten the names of the two gentleman who helped me (one was Ricky and the other I don't remember). They were both very helpful and their follow through was excellent. I had to call the store several times because my mattresses were backordered, but on both occasions they knew right away who I was, even over the phone, and helped me with all of my questions. Very personable service. There was a slight delay in delivering my mattresses and they promptly also offered me a $50 discount without having asked which I appreciate very much. All in all, extremely satisfied that I gave my business to these great folks and not some giant online retailer. I pray their business flourishes! read more

Came here today after I call regarding a Box Spring and when we got here the guy that told me they had a Queen size for me and will hold it come to find out when I did come from Patterson he couldn't sell it to me because he could fine the invoice but he had one for a higher price. So my husband said thank you but we are going elsewhere! So as we were ready to leave the guy come out and told us I will sell you the other one for the same price. The customer service was horrendous! While looking for bedroom items for my new apartment, the man I to spoke around closing time was extremely condescending and rude. When I asked him for clarification on prices and what materials some of the products consisted of, the sales associate became very annoyed with me and started talking down to me. It got to the point where I didn't even want to purchase anything from him and told him that the way he was talking to me made me uncomfortable. He became defensive and I took that as my cue to leave, I will not provide my money or business to a place with that kind of employee. Purchased a mattress from Dan (now at the Tracy store and was great) in June 2014; weren't happy with the quality for the price we paid, so we went back in August 10th to exchange it (Sleep Train offers a 100-day guarantee). Keri, the new store manager, was great; no hassle whatsoever for the exchange, and she didn't even try to keep us within the price range of the originally purchased mattress. We settled on a new mattress and she worked with us to make sure it was delivered the next day within the timeframe that worked best for us.
